देश का बटवारा भी एकतरफ़ा धार्मिक पहचान की वज़ह से हुआ था। महिला भारत आ गई तो उसकी पहचान और धर्म सब कुछ सुरक्षित रहा । बेचारे पाकिस्तान में रहने वाले ग़ैर मुस्लिम कितनी प्रताड़ना सहने के बाद भी केवल जान ही बचा पाये। पूरी दुनिया में इस्लाम की यही देन है और ज़्यादातर मुस्लिम इस पर गर्व भी करते है ।

After hearing this story tears rolling down frm my eyes, my nani story is same they were too 5 siblings she use to tell me that they use to live in huge house with her sisters and one brother along with her chachu chachi and to cousins when partition happened 2 of her elder sister with other ladies of area committed suicide and her chachu family with wife and their two kids got killed in the way and their own real brother left behind they , only she and her one sister and parents finally made to india, after she got married one day she recieved a letter from pakistan and that letter is from her brother who left behind and converted to islam so that he can survive there, that time getting indian visa was easy therefore he and his son and daughter came to india to meet his sisters that moment was very emotional for them, even my nani was planning to go to pakistan, so that three of them can go back to their home in Pakistan but unfortunately, just before my nani got visa she passed away, then my nani's sister took some of her remains to Pakistan to their parental home and when she returned back to india she was so emotionally hurt that she passed away and by hearing this news her brother too passed away, today my mom and her sisters and brother have no contact with their uncle's family but i wish i could contact them 😢
