5.5 lb cocoyam
Beef
Mackerel
2 large onions
2 habanero
5 large Tomatoes
3.4 oz Koobi
1 cup Palm oil
2.4 oz herrings
½ lb mackerel
3 tablespoons onion and ginger paste - Jak na to + styl
Oh yes this looks tasty, I am going to try this if I can get the yams, I can't think I have seen any of them in the UK, just ordinary yam, however I can go to the African supermarket hopefully they will have them. Penny, I hope you find cocoyams, but if you don't you can use regular yams. I've never made that before but most Ghanaians eat that too. And yes, I know how it feels to lose a parent and so I'm more intentional about enjoying and loving my mum.
I know I told you that my ancestors are from Ghana but I love watching your channel and other channels like yours because it gives me a glimpse into their lives and what they must have done before they were taken away from the motherland and forced into slavery. What a wholesome pot. Mama rocks. We make something similar in Cameroon only difference is we keep the cocoyam whole and add bitterleaf or other green veggies.
