GTA Online: Missile Behavior Explained + Tracking tier list!

- I hope this video serves of some info. I wasn't able to find anything that clearly explained how missiles behave in GTA, nor a proper ranking of the tracking performances. So I made both in one :)

UPDATES: Post-nerf Oppressor MK2 is now *Tier 2* (Thank fuck!)
The *Kosatka periscope missiles are Tier S,* but that is kind of irrelevant because they're extremely slow (Still like I said, "tracking" will not consider speed)
The Toreador has the same missiles as the Stromberg. Therefore, *Tier 1*
Annihilator Stealth has the same missiles as the Akula, therefore, *Tier 3*

Kasatka's missile is Tier 3 too, I tested it with a police helicopter, and it deviated like a common guided missile, including its operation is very similar to Terrobyte's missile, I think the only one that is a little better is the Trailer Anti Air
Hey man, technically Kosatka is tier S because they share the deadlock feature. The only problem is that they have Tier 3 turning. Maybe we could say its a Tier 3S

If you are to use the ruiner 2000 against an oppressor MK2 try to use the fully loaded ruiner - more armour (and as far as I’m aware) infinite respawns - lots of people may already know this just putting it out there anyway

Thank you very much! Yeah it's a bit complicated with better missiles, but honestly, as long as you're going forwards and it's not Tier S, you can dodge very easily! All you have to do is not present your tail
O míssil do Ruiner 2000 seria um Tier S+, porque ele sempre acerta o alvo independente do ângulo , basicamente é impossível desviar dele, dever ser por isso que não tem mais nenhum veiculo com um míssil com esse tipo de rastreio
O missil do Ruiner é exatamente igual aos do Deluxo e os demais. Se você quiser eu faço um comparativo, pois eles também seguem a regra. Se ir de frente ele vai errar pq quer te acertar por trás. A diferença é que ele não vai desistir nunca de ir atrás
@@DemonLordGamingAC0 Eu falei isso porque vi um teste de um cara usando o Savage, só que ele fez no modo historia usando mod para desabilitar a estabilização de ângulo, assim ficando mais fácil inclinar o helicóptero em 90°, ai ele conseguiu desviar a maioria dos misseis, fazendo eles passarem por baixo, mas o míssil do Ruiner foi o único que acertou ele mesmo fazendo essa manobra
@@luishenriquesantos5225 Podia me encaminhar esse vídeo? Então, isso acontece pois como eu disse, o míssil do Ruiner nunca vai desistir. Se fosse Deluxo, Scramjet ou Vigilante ia acontecer o mesmo

ruiner missiles are ss+ cuz when they miss the target they instantly turn in any direction much faster and aggressive and it can miss only one time, unlike scramjet (and other cars in that tier) missiles
if you will try to do casino heist prep phase with drones you will notice that missile will hit drone mostly in any angle, but scramjet missiles will miss at that angle and start turn around
This is quite a old comment and I apologize for not answering before, but I stated that sharing a tier does not mean tracking is identical. You can say the Ruiner missiles are the best of the S tier, but not put them in a different one. They behave pretty much the same, and are countered the same way. So, it is irrelevant to add another tier to them

Great video, it would be cool if you could put all of the new vehicles with missile capabilities into the tier list.
Kosatka's Periscope is Tier S. Problem is it's missiles are very very slow
Toreador is Tier 1, same missiles as stromberg
Annihilator Stealth and Sparrow are aircraft so always tier 3. Thank you for your feedback!

@Sebas_759 from my experience, Kosatka missiles have "Deadlock", which is what Ruiner missiles have, that don't let they stop going after their target after they miss it. Turns out the AA Trailer's missiles also have it, but they're not agile, so they're more like Tier 3 to me
Kosatka periscope is Tier S, because like I said at the beginning, I would rank ONLY tracking. And the reason you can dodge them is because they're extremely slow.
Yes, they are decently agile and have deadlock, but they can't catch up to even a Buzzard, so they're garbage because of their speed
Wow the quality of this video is really high. Was exactly what I was looking for. I saw your reply to a comment which asked about the cayo perico vehicles but what about the b11? Is it just normal aircraft missiles? I'm under the assumption, that they are a bit better than regular aircraft missiles because they have a limited capacity of I think 30. Anyways thanks for the video and I will definetly share it with the guys I tested missiles with earlier. 👍

All aircraft missiles are considered Tier 3! But remember that the tiers are a rough estimate! As far as I know it's no different than Akula/Hunter missiles

7:25 theres a thing in the weapons.meta config (cant remember the name) which tells a missile if it can do this, which is pretty nice

Também sou português, eu sei que também és porque tens o jogo em português. Na prática, não sei se é tão fácil passar rentinho ao míssil de uma mk2 sem lhe tocar, de forma a ele não voltar para trás. De carro já sabia, mas de helicóptero só consigo com o hunter e é a fugir deles como se estivesse no jato
Sou brasileiro amigo! Então como eu disse no vídeo, os mísseis precisam passar muito perto pra errarem. A maioria dos helicópteros não consegue isso pois eles são muito grandes. O Buzzard e o Sparrow com certeza conseguem!
Outra Mk2 e o Deluxo conseguem com muita facilidade desviar dos misseis da Mk2
