- In this video I take another look at the oppressor Mk2 using learned knowledge from personal experience as well as experience from the community to (Hopefully) offer a more comprehensive guide that simply wasn't possible when it first came out!

The oppressor MK2 is a hoverbike that was added to Grand theft auto online through the Afterhours DLC.

Imagine if there was a passive mode only for oppressor mk2
Imagine if buying an Opp Mk 2 immediately sent you to Opp Mk 2 only lobbies indefinitely, until you sell it
People will always find something to grief with. Kosatka, fighter jets, toreadors/etc, flying party busses full of bullies... Modders seem to be the biggest griefing nuisance currently.
@@KimonFrousios All of your examples have something to balance it out. The Kosatka's range is limited and without a driver, or a Yacht with air defenses on, it's very vulnerable, and in the latter case still very vulnerable to a Toreador. Jets and helicopters are large and not particularly agile or resilient. Toreadors can't fly and have several enormous windows.
As Ghillie showed, there is nothing to balance out the Opp. He didn't even go over this, but it's even worse than that: because it counts as a bike, if it becomes your favorite bike, you also do more damage with it and automatically regenerate while riding it. So if you can even score a hit on the thing, if you don't immediately kill the rider they will be back at full health in moments anyway.
@@-theghost-9866 oppressor mk1 is faster. To solve the mk2 problem they need to make it a 1 missile non lock on with a 5 second cool down.

Since the new sparrow in Cayo perico released, I haven't touched the opressor, haven't really had a need

I think the MKI Oppressor is severely underrated. It's much more fun to drive and, if you time your flight, landings, and boost right, you can go across the map just as fast as a MKII but in a much more fun and challenging way.
It’s ability to get to rooftops to snipe is darn powerful enough, it didn’t need some of the best missiles, chaff, agility, boost AND speed. And little to no ways to counter from the ground if you’re against a half decent MK2 user.. blows my mind that R* still thinks it’s all good 😧
They don’t care. It’s so pathetically sad. I would sell my soul to get Opressor Mk2, deluxo and mk1 opressor out of the game.

Gta online has way too many glitches. yesterday I was screwing around with some friends and some level 5852 started blowing up the lobby with the orbital cannon. Shot after shot after shot. After he left the session, we had a guy on an opressor come and blow us up a bunch of times. I blew up his bike, and of course, he was in godmode. I dont think its possible for people to play this game in peace in public lobbies

you must have shit luck with sessions or go looking for trouble then cause i played last night into early this morning and outside of a few assholes that were quickly dispatched by a sniper or well aimed rifle shots i had no issues i even sat not in passive on the roof terrace of the casino and no issues

The MKII needs buzzard missiles. I know it got majorly debuffed in missile accuracy in the Perico update, but my point still stands
Edit: I know because me and my friend tested it. They now can miss now. Also I only use it for one mission: Diamond Client Job. Cuz ease of access cuz Terrorbyte is where the mission starts.
You could always miss, the mk2 has the same missiles as the stromberg and toreador while the deluxo, scramjet and vigilante have rockets that never give up.

The most that'd do is weed out the noobs - the half-decent Oppressor users that dive bomb with unguided missiles won't be affected one bit.
the thing about the oppressor mk2 is that it's basically the gta: online version of the flying hoverbike from saints row 3

I think if it had no rockets then it would be absolutely fine, as it stands the thing is in a league of its own, it has speed, crazy homing rockets and its tiny so its very hard to aim at
It isnt only hard to aim at but the draw distance of the mk2 is way shorter than of other vehicles

I prefer jets and helicopters for getting around the map quickly. They're faster at altitude and some also have a high rate of fire for the missiles.
Anyone not using a plane or a jet for fast travel is a little baby scrub that can't handle the already laughably easy flight sim characteristics of GTAO

Man, I personally just wish that things would go back to how they were during the Finance and Felony Update. It was the perfect blend of the ridicoulus crap of modern GTA and the basic 2013 GTA Online.

but after two years (specifically after the new dlc) the broomstick user's ass can be kicked by anyone who has played the game for a couple of months. another mk2, the toreador (before this dlc the stromberg), a lazer, an explosive sniper with a mouse, minigun+bst, etc are only a few of the best ways to counter this bike.
It's the people who use it , that is the real issue , for a solo player it helps so much for making money and getting around easily if you don't have much time to play for example . Put it in the hands of a douche then it becomes a problem.

I'm going to disagree. I think that It suffers from a problem where the best counter to it is honestly another version of itself. There is so much interesting hardware out there in GTA, and nobody uses it because it all loses to the Mk II. There are tanks, helicopters, jets, etc, and they are all generally less effective/convenient than the Oppressor. They aren't invincible, and they can be beaten, but it really makes the idea of driving around another fun destructive toy feel kind of worthless when some person just flies by and fires missiles that do more damage than any other missiles because of the MC favorite bike damage bonus and you just die.
Granted I play on console, and in free aim lobbies, so I have the hardest time dealing with them, but there's a reason why they are so ubiquitous. the problem isn't that they are good, it's that they are so good that they make everything else not worth using. And it's not even just about being in a fight. The number of times somebody randomly riding one around turns toward you on the minimap and decides to opportunistically murder you just because they can is quite high. It's largely because you can't reasonably get away from them. You can't dodge the missiles through Superior driving, you can't outrun or outmaneuver the oppressor like you can most of the other vehicles, and they don't even fall off when they hit stuff like they did with the Mk I Oppressor.
Sure, griefers are what turn most of the exploitable mechanics into tools used to frustrate, but this particular tool in their arsenal is what makes them lethal and effective, over just irritating. This bike is the only thing that turns my session of play from having fun, to something where I stop having fun. If somebody overly persistent in a jet keeps harassing me while I'm doing something, I could go to another lobby, but with the oppressor, they are so ubiquitous that there will always be another one waiting for me.
Yet again nobody seems to realize that the MK2 is pretty much the only way aside from snacks & stone hatchet that allows you to regen back to full health instead of just half making it good for dealing with random NPC fire during missions or resupplies without having to waste snacks to get back to full health
Also a single C4 out of a delivery vehicle will be enough to take out a MK2 since they can't lock onto delivery vehicles
Me: Using the MK2 to do missions or complete jobs
Modders: Not on my watch!
I think a great nerf for the MKII would be make it a Pegasus vehicle, considering how AIDS the spawns for Pegasus vehicles are. That way if they want to use them they don't have instant access and it's not just an instant win button

Now that cayo perico exists and the sparrow is a thing I don't think gta will miss anything if it's removed yeah it's small and compact but even for grinding (which now boils down to resupplying your business and doing 8 preps and then the finalle) there are better or equal options
Also sidenote a revisit to the insurgents would be nice
All the sparrow proved to people is that we never needed something like the mk2 in this game ever. All the grinders saying “oh no don’t delete it it’s so good for grinding” need to stfu

Oppressor Mk2 is pretty useful for grinders. I guess R* needs to nerf it again, maybe reduce the missile capacity to just 10, make the accuracy as same as buzzard (I saw one of the comments in this video which suggest it, and I agree with it). Well, I don't mind tho, because my main reason to use MK2 is to get me faster to destination, that's all
As much as I hated seeing this thing its still more useful than almost every vehicle in my garage so its still a favorite in my book

I used to have a MKII. I sold it for a hydra. I do not regret selling my MKII
I like the Oppressor MK2 it's good for going around in mach speed and taking out enemies.
It's not good to use it on other players though.
If you hold the handbrake while you fly the markII, you go 130 instead of 109
The one weakness it has is an explosive sniper, as it gets destroyed with one round, but good luck getting that fucking thing in the first place, AND hitting it. EDIT: 3:57 Oh. On consoles you can at least auto aim to the user if he gets close. Or on PC with a gamepad and an Aim Assist server

its weakness is the fact people can literally shoot them off with bullets...people are exposed in that thing. never aim rockets or explosives at it
@@javieremoya It zooms around all over the place like a fly. The oppressor just needs to face your general direction for half a second to fire a rocket at you while you have to snipe the rider, the combination of them being such a tiny target and the desyncing makes this task near impossible. I've played shooters since I left my baby crib, anyone who downplays how hard they are to hit are either lying or fighting completely braindead idiots who fly directly at them
I use it for grinding preps. But I'd give up that in a heartbeat just to make PVP fun again.

It cuts mission times in half. I personally don't grief with it. It's just incredibly useful for missions where you have to go all the way from paleto to the airport for a car...

Im a grinder, ive used it in the past to get 600 resuplies for bunker. When first released i was excited because I am a fan of the movie Looper which has a hover bike the mkII is based on.
I wish this bike had no weapons but allowed bike driveby weapons.
That would allow sawed off shotguns, compact rifle and even compact grenade launcher. That feels more skill based than OP.

Whenever I run into an oppressor it's either a sweaty try hard or a low level trying to get easy kills and the rare person just using it to get from place to place
I only use the MK2 in dire emergencies when I hit the situation of

Speaking about the series, I really thank you for putting the platform difference bc with a controller, shooting people on mk2 with a sniper is quite impossible, so continue like that. But also, (not for the oppressor) please include not only what tryhards can do of it, but also casuals, roleplayers.... It's important for a lot of people (I think)
You can still call this thing right to you after you've despawned it. In the interaction menu under the vehicles tab just press return vehicle to garage and then hit request personal vehicle it'll bring your last active pv to you in this case thats the oppressor. Not a lot of people even know that option is there. I see people destroying their vehicles instead of sending it back the garage all the time

This heist really made the game fun and just cause you don't play it doesn't mean it's garbage. It has more than 100k players online at all times and just had the best dlc ever added to the game.

I like to use mine for good. Last night I noticed two griefers going after a players cargo. So I killed them and escorted him until it was delivered.

The MKII just highlights all of the shortcomings of other vehicles & the lack of anti griefing systems such as homing missiles in general being able to lock on to all player-occupied vehicles, instead of just ones with hostile players & NPCs. The only exception seems to be the nightclub vehicles during a sale. the MKII isn't the best vehicle at anything but it is better than most vehicles in all categories.
-Crashing does not eject players like other bikes, instantly explode like an aircraft, or get stuck like a boat or car
-Its a personal vehicle that can fly so, random NPCs don't crash into you &, it does it without randomly swaying like aircraft
-It's a very small vehicle that can also hover. That makes it a small target that can get into tight areas other VSTOL aircraft cant
-The homing missiles are very accurate & can lock on from a good distance even though they are slower & less damaging than jet missiles
-It's stored in the Terrobyte which is a massive advantage for any grinder that parks it near an apartment with a heist invite
-Although there are faster jets & helicopters, the MKII is very quick

Aside from the griefers, it's a good way to complete missions and it's pretty fun to mess with police in this thing.
I want it to keep it's homing missiles. This thing helps me out greatly in headhunter
I’ve been using my toreador as a counter to the mk2 and it’s been working extremely well. Nightshark is a great counter to the mk1 and can also tank a full inventory of mk2 missles which is nice

I just feel the need to say this, but you don’t actually need any of that to buy the bike. If you’re not interested in immediately purchasing the missile augment, you can just buy the bike as you would any other vehicle and store it in any standard garage. If you want missiles or instant spawning, then you have to start forking over extra cash
Well I really like PR but to be fair, in revisited he should know that u can buy mk2 without Nightclub and Terabyte. Those 2 are necessary only for upgrading it.
got the mk2 today and submarine to grind solo heist jsut so i can get the mk1 one day too because it’s too much fun free mode 😂 i’d recommend getting a insurgent pick up custom too just for the homies 💯

In your first comparison, the Chernobog would be perfectly fine if it had missiles that could track at least as well as the MK2. You could then chase anybody around the map and nail them eventually. The MK2 with Ruiner 2000 missiles was a huge mistake.
I love that it can be used for such amazing transportation. Too bad %99 of broomstick owners use it for more...nefarious reasons. ☹

I mainly use Oppressor as a transport vehicle. I only rarely decide to have "fun" with it
I really just use it to get around the map, but it is hella fun shooting them down with the explosive sniper

I use the insurance pickup custom to drain Mk2 missiles cause it's fun watching some kid on a broomstick try to kill me while I know damn well 20 missiles will only make my Insurgent smoke.
I really wish it was just another way to get around instead of a weaponized vehicle. But it definitely needs some nerfing done to it, whether it be the missile damage (basically give it the rounds from the RC Tank) or male the tracking worse, or even give them a smaller missile count. But to combat those that use oppressors, I usually bait them into getting into rifle lock on range. Just lead them a little bit after lock on and watch them rage.
Its great for transportation and its only real counter is another mk2. Everyone should have and know how to use one, how to use countermeasure and dodge missiles, there would be less people complaining about it.

Best way to take out a mk2 is to do the revolver glitch while a sticky bomb Is under you. That plus BST and you can easily laser anyone trying to kill you and there's not much they can do.
