    Those throttle blips that you do every 5 to 10 seconds are really disconcerting. Why do you do it ??

      Have you ever had a ride on a 600 single? When you roll off the gas quickly the bike pops and bangs and sounds great, it adds to the fun.

      @@RiderReviews I have…. And I know these hate to be blipped. It can lead to stalling.
      I love bikes that bang and pop…. My tenere does it, but spitfires…Nah !!

      Never stalled the bike once Glen in a years ownership ….When closing the throttle off quickly (Not blipping) the spitfire pops and bangs a treat, probably can’t pick it up on the microphone.

    Nice upload, thanks. I'm considering buying one as they look great and are very light. My only concern is that it may not have enough power and performance for me. My next stage is to test ride one and find out. I didnt know they had events so will check those out.

      Thanks! Yes should be quite easy to get yourself a test ride, let me know how it goes.

    I wondered where you had got to Jake I can understand how life gets in the way sometimes but good to see you back out on the CCM on those wondeful Norfolk roads.
    Like you say we are in a bit of a downturn at the moment so maybe that is why specialist bikes like the CCM are proving a luxury too far for some.
    I think new bikes like the Honda Hornet and dare I say Royal Enfield Hunter (I would love to hear your opinion on one of those) at under £4000 are going to sell really well.
    Ride safe

      Hi Martin yes it’s great to get out on the Norfolk twisties again. I done a review recently on the new Honda Hornet if you fancy a look. Cheers 👍

    Hey Jake good to see you out and about I think the CCM is just mean't to blat around the lanes on and it always seems like your having fun on it,I have to ask though why you wear the open face with this bike is it just during summer months ? for me it's always a full face with less chance of eating flyes 😂 👍

      @RiderReviews  Před rokem +1

      Hi Malcolm yes it’s great to get out especially in this weather. I do like wearing the open face helmet mainly only in summer and full face in winter. The CCM only really comes out in summer months tbh. 👍

    Why do keep opening and closing your throttle in short bursts? Is it your riding style or is there an issue with your bike?

    • @RiderReviews
      @RiderReviews  Před rokem +1

      It’s a 600cc single cylinder machine and a completely different riding experience to other motorcycles out there. I’m also running in the engine and varying the speed/RPM… sounds great too 👍

      Almost every bike I’ve owned I have liked in one way or another…or i wouldn’t have bought them. However it’s just not possible to keep hold of them all for both financially and space reasons unfortunately.

    I must echo some of the comments already made with regard to throttle control on this bike. Do you actually have any? It just seems on/off. We all love pops and bangs but I think it would become a little tiresome after a while riding a bike like that.
    I'm reminded of the RFC pilots in WW1 flying Sopwith Camels. I believe these a/c did not have a throttle as we know it. Power was controlled by simply switching the magneto's on or off as desired. It was a plane that was thoroughly unforgiving and took great skill to fly properly. Perhaps this machine should be called the CCM Camel?
    You also state that as a 600cc single, it's a different riding experience. Yamaha and Honda had 600 singles in their XT and Dominator models and I don't ever recall them having throttle characteristics like this.
    I'm sure it's great fun hooning round the local lanes but, sorry, precious little else.
    Expensive too, I hear.🤨
