This is one is totally rideable ridiculousness. Endless chunky rock gardens and high speed Pisgah "flow". The pain to pleasure ratio was in our favor that day. Adding this to my list of all-time favorites!

Great riding! That first flowing creek crossing with the waterfall has a side trail to the pool below. Worth going down. I "canyoneered" that entire creek one day with a friend and popped out at the bottom of the Daniel downhill where the bridge used to be. That was one of my favorite days in Pisgah. It's an amazing creek.
Love your channel. Iâm 56 yr old from Seattle and Iâm about 2 years into mt biking.
Itâs Been a rapid spartan progression!đ via the crew I ride with and LOTS of CZcams videos! (Also plenty of gravity sports experience)
I watched this vid when it came out⊠loâand behold I have family that moved to Brevard! Weâre Getting a visit in at the end of this month and gonna do some ridding! Stoked đđ»đ€đŒ
Thanks for all the great vidâs
Real wilderness trails. Itâs what most of us old timers started on. So nice !
Wow, that is one awesome trail and Sarah adds such a great vibe to your videos!
When you see the saddle in the gopro. Nice riding!
Did anyone else notice? Is that an engagement ring on Sarahs finger when u were sitting at The Hub?!
Awesome vid Brian, that was a proper brutal trail by the look of it. Still, you shredded it to pieces. Well done đđ»
Nice one Bri! "rideable ridiculousness" very cool, great chunk but somehow do-able!
Once per hour eating đ whoops. Even when I do 3-4 hour rides I usually donât bring anything to eat.
Same
Yep!
and after we eatalot :D
Epic! This one has been added to the shortlist for this summer fo sho!
Nice trail, that looks really rowdy!
Pisgah is "summit" in Hebrew. ok got it off my chest, now keep watching..
I really enjoyed your videos more trails to comeđȘđ„ from philippines.
09:57 Awesome suspension tuning!
I love Pisgah, dupont, and kanuga! My grandfather lives in hendersonville so I am very familiar with the area!
Riiiiiiggggghhhhtttt.... Looks like quite the adventure. Dammit! Another trail to visit next time we hit Brevard. As soon as the the borders open again.
Stress less, ride more! Stay safe.
Wow such a beautiful trail.
Snacking is a HUGE part of a ride for me too đđ
Same had 2 cookies in my Fannypack last ride
Started snacking after 30-45 mins (usually at top of first climb) on my rides that will be like 1:30 or longer, it makes a huge difference honestly
Wow!!!!!! Thise treal soo very nice!!!!!đđŒđđŒđđŒ I love â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž thise trealđđŒđđŒđđŒ
Wow! Breathtaking!
Yea so myself and 2 other guys rode this trail today, fantastic weather aside, you are in for a hell of a ride if you attempt Farlows gap and Daniels ridge. At least half of farlows wasnât rideable. Plus 3 pretty big river crossings. The sections that were, were fast, sketchy and short lived. Lots of downed trees. Daniels ridge was a blast. The whole trail was rideable. But donât be deceived by the 3miles of downhill descent that farlows boasts. You will be punished by the uphill trek and by the downhill descent. If you want ONE HELL OF AN ADVENTURE, go for it!
I agree. This trail sucks so hard unless youâre looking for an âadventureâ backcountry ride.
Looks Epic!
on the list. wish it wasnt so dang far away. WA-NC.... nice video. chunk looks $$$
I've gotten terrible about nutrition lately as well. Good reminder.
I've told myself many times over the years I should get some better trialsy skills working and claim a clean on Farlow. It's fair to say that's one dream I'm completely ok with letting go of.
Looked like a perfect Pisgah day out there. Great riding on an epic classic, lady and gentlemans!
CHUNDER!
That was pretty rad.
My joints are shaking apart just watching this video yikes. Awesome none the less.
That was an awesome ride.
I love this one so much!
Sick rideđ€
wow... nice treck , rock garden
Love the outro
Good job Bri, i see oathill is paying off..
Wow that is an epic trail. Would love to ride it.
Ooh yeah. Get you that waterfall trail.
Some proper Pisgahness in yah life.
I like your vids very much
you should do a video of a retro bike ride (90s + build)! and talk about the difference of "of then and now"!.. V Brakes ,shifters and everything
Nice bike
Officially one of the toughest trails I've watched you ride... yikes.
It sure does. You know it's boney when it looks tough on go-pro.
You video should be an advertisement for mountain bike tire strength!
Everyone dropped Pisgah videos this week...well played.
good for a warmup run... ^^
Wow! Chunky!!! I gotta get up there! Great riding and great video. As per usual!
Looks like a real jibble jarring trail!
Barnardsvile nc near Weaverville has some good techy trails
That nice coolđ„¶ looking white helmet looking real good about nowđ„”!
Go check out cherokee and fire mountain!! Nice flow to recover after pisgah!
You werenât to far from where I live. Right over the state line!
We rode this on a somewhat regular basis starting in the early 90s . Sure is different now.
Great video! What brand/model glass is the young lady wearing?
I had to ice my shoulders just watching this. lol
gabba gabba goo ... after riding a trail like that one.
I should camp theređ , the river is perfect
Looks like my kind of riding! How many miles is that loop?
Since youâre in the southeast again are you going to give South Carolina another chance? I really canât say where a good trail is but for sure Fats is not it. Maybe try Paris Mountain or Stumphouse .
I felt like a kid again watching this.
I'd love to move out there. That is SMOOTH compared to where I live in CA.
oh im sure... I bet you could ride this on a road bike. I wish my roads were this smooth.
Brian, pretty sure that Minion DHF you have is on backwards.
First view & first comment,love Mr.brian.
i ate every 2 minutes watching this great vlog hhahahahahahahaa
I think I tried climbing that up....it was hard!
Do you change your suspension when you know you are going to ride that kind of rockier trail?
This looked.......bumpy!!!
Eso hice hoy y me caĂ fue chistosa la caĂda pero me ralle mucho la pierna pero estaba divertido suerte
Wedding Bells? Looks like Sarah is wearing an engagement ring (13:21). If so, congrats!
I noticed that too.... hmmm
yeah he showed on stream couple of days ago. Its offical she gonna be mrs. BKXC.
@@NoahMagBratwurst awesome! Thanks for confirmation. : )
Mountain biking works in mysterious ways.
I live close to there and am seriously wanting to bike Pisgah. I am curious on the trails on any advice for loose rocks I see on the videos that if a big rock is hit the wrong way; I could crash over the mountain? Any advice on this?
My experience in Pisgah (and this trail specifically): 1. The video makes the trail look more narrow than it is. I never felt at danger of dropping of the edge. 2. Ride within your comfort level. The downhill rocks on this trail are all doable, but some will go faster than others. 3. Do your best to choose a line with larger, embedded rocks. There are wobbly ones for sure, but by no means a tumbling of rocks following you down the trail. 4. I never felt at risk of loose rocks throwing me off my game, but I suggest trying some other trails in the area to get a feel for it (check out Spencer Gap, Fletcher, and Trace Ridge in N. Mills River). This will give you more confidence on larger, lose rocks. But, these trails are far less commitment to get to. 5. Bring friends and session. Farlow Gap takes 1-2 hours to get to. This is the type of trail to plan as an adventure with a group and take time to play on sections. Don't put yourself in a time crunch for this one (or others like Laurel Mtn/Pilot Rock).
I see you too decided to include more walking trails in your riding.
looks like it might be easier riding off the trail. Like, through the undergrowth.
My forearms hurt just watching this. Yikes. đŹ
How much weight can these tires withstand?
How much of your bike did you leave on that trail?
looks like marquette with how techy that is
What cam does he use??
What is the name of the bull you were riding??
How much do you spend "ish" yearly on bike maintenance?
Mannn I love Farlow but you gotta be in the mood for a battle - definitely not a trail for a beginner
Niceeeeee
The bain of riding Appalachia... the rock and root poundings. Great for the kidneys. LOL
It's like the Downieville of the east but almost gnarlier.
Nah that would be windrock xc trails
Ps. (There not XC trails)
Dan "ha ha ha"
If you ever decide to come to Mexico, let me tell you something, most of the trails are just like those chunky trails in this video. In talking in the big mountains. đ
which part of mexico?
Go wildcats!! #chico
Last time I attempted Farlow Gap I was on a 29er hardtail. I had a slow motion over-the-bars crash because it was so steep and rocky that I came out of my clipless pedals and was going too slow trying to get clipped back in. Wasnât hurt, but dented my frame. Bailed off and rolled, bike landed upside down on a big rock
I was white knuckling the whole vid just watchingđł
No snowboarding?? WTF? Whereâs the no skiing marker?
Pisgah humor... creative cyclists
this video makes my carpal tunnel hurt..or made your fork has too much air

I try hard not to be critical, because I know the challenges GoPro POV videos present, but for me...this camera angle is just too low. I feel like I'm watching a video of the top tube and stem. I can't even see the rider in front, much less the terrain being ridden over. The move to the 9 on a chesty has been a step backward for the CZcamsrs who have made that change, in my mind. I would have loved to have seen this video filmed with a chin guard mounted GoPro, so the view is out over the bars, and I'm able to see what Brian is looking at, which is the trail and changing terrain. Being low and off the back of the bike really accentuates the low camera angle. It's a great ad for Ibis by showcasing the Ripmo logo, but I want to see the trail! It makes me feel like I want to reach out and push the bike out of the frame. (Sad Face)
pick a line and go...no such thing as the perfect line in Pisgah
If I see a popular CZcamsr on a trail riding, it would be wrong to stop him mid-ride to say hi right? Also creepy to wait for them to finish a trail to say hi to them at the exit? And weird to say hi while they have their alone time prepping before a ride. I guess the appropriate way to greet your fav Mtb CZcamsr is to just yell out their name and say thanks for the vids as they pass you?
I thought School House is the nastiest...
Also nasty
@@tywitt3351 Phil was flying though.. What a beast.

The camera angle is not the best. I didn't enjoy this one as much. Sorry.
Give him some grace. Farlow is STEEP
Man , that trail is horrible .
That trail does not even look fun to be honest XD
Been there done that, I agree. Above my old man risk level!
Farlow is a good time and a real challenge. Classic old school Pisgah tech and seriously steep for first mile
Why you eat carbs? Thats not very good energy source đ€·đ»ââïž
