Eli Barbie i did wonder about that myself. That last bout of chemo seemed to do the opposite of what i am sure he wanted. It was clear he just loved life and wanted to prolong his days as much as possible. Sure the last thing he would have wanted was to depart so quickly. He might even still be here if it wasn't for that.

Rowan Williams "till death do us part" doesn't mean that after he passes she can never marry again! One will have passed therefore the marital contract between man and God has been completed! It's her choice, she knows full well what she's getting into. She wants to be his wife knowing she will one day be his widow. All spouses marry knowing that one of them will pass first! Even with the odds stacked in favor of Dan going first, the universe could widow him! Bus crash, car crash, random allergic reaction. Ppl die suddenly every single day. To avoid marriage because you will die is ridiculous! Death is the only thing with a 100 percent guarantee in life! Praying for you so much. I am also dealing with the horrible sickness of chemo. I know how bad Pactitaxel can be. I was on it in 2010 and again in 2016. My second experience was much worse than my first. Lets just say, I was in the hospital more than out. I pray to God you don't go through this. You need to experience the joy of your new marrage and so much more. I was so happy to see that video. I literly cried when I saw it, like I knew you personally. Thank you for trying to share your experiences, both good and bad. The possitive experiences you show on youtube helps me get through my hard times and chemo sicknesses. I’m pleased for you that things seem to have gone well today. I hope you feel well tomorrow and that the treatment buys a lot of time for you. I had chemo (cis platin) and currently undergoing immunotherapy. You are so right: the worst bit is always the needle to insert the tube. I close my eyes and just try and relax. The nurse puts your hand in a container of warm (hot!) water to dilate the veins which helps. On my last treatment they had 7 goes at getting the tube in before they got it. The secret apparently is to make sure you are fully hydrated ahead of the treatment. Lesson learned. Anyway, all the best. I’ll be joining everybody else in praying for you during the treatment.

That outfit was amazing love the colour! What I can’t get my head around is the people disliking the videos you put up, how anyone can dislike the bravery of what you are going through is beyond me. Having worked in palliative care I have seen first hand how strong and positive cancer patients can be, always upbeat smiling, and never complaining. Those disliking you sharing your journey have no idea what it’s like and I for one applaud you for letting us into your private life sharing the ups and downs. You have a lovely supportive family, your lady is beautiful and if she needs to arrange stuff people have no right trying to shame her for using her phone a lot. My mom took the same chemo.. she felt really tired and sleepy.. could barely talk ... but at the end.. it just slows down what unfortunately is going to happen .. She didnt want to feel like a quitter for not wanting it anymore.. but I told her that she was the bravest woman I´ve ever know,, and quiting doesnt mean you give up.. It means that you finally accept death and you are ready to rest .. So I wish you could feel same way,.. just enjoy life and quitting chemo at the end makes you bravest than ever before!!

It's my understanding that the preservative taxol is in can cause severe allergic reactions. Therefore they have to give things like benadryl to prevent a reaction. Benadryl can make one sleepy, so maybe you were given something like this in your pre-meds and that's what's making you sleepy. I start my taxol Monday. I wasn't scared of the a/c I had, but I'm a little nervous about the taxol because of the benadryl. It's a dangerous drug for me. Hoping and praying for good results for you, Dan.
Rock a Mohawk like a true badass rock star. Being a RN, I imagine they gave you 50mg Benadryl and definitely an anti nausea med too (like Zoltan or Promethazine) The combo of all those meds can certainly make you tuckered out. Travel home safe and know how much you are absolutely loved from all parts of the world. I’m definitely praying from the States!!! Ta Ta!!!
So glad you didn’t get the reaction on the first dose. I did. The poor man getting chemo next to me kind of freaked out when I asked him if my face was red? My face was beet red and I couldn’t breathe. The line infiltrated in my hand. My husband was with me every chemo appt. this time I said, go ahead and leave, run your errands. Nothing is going to happen. Bam! It’s funny now because I’m okay. I loved the Benadryl nap. They say if you don’t get the bad reaction it the first dose , you won’t get it at all. Enjoy the little nap. I pray for more happiness and more love for you. You are amazing!!!!

Not a fan of people judging Becky for being on the phone....they had no idea what she was doing....this is a very small clip of your daily life...not a complete picture of what she does on a daily basis...maybe it was important....or her way to unwind or avoid the camera....it doesn't matter and there is nothing wrong with that...I am very camera shy myself or sometimes I need a few minutes of escape if I am having a hard day....she shouldn't be judged like that...anyway..much love Dan and Becky..Congratulations!! My friend is getting Taxol treatments once a week now for BC treatment and she usually feels somewhat OK for Day 1 and 2, but by Day 3 and 4, it hits her hard. :(
Yes, if you're not ready for that sort of de-layed reaction it can really rock your world. I was on doce-taxol also called taxotere, and it was really rough around the 4th or 5th day! But after surgery was put on the Taxol that Dan is prescribed and tolerated it really well!.....wishing him the same of course! I think what made Dan suddenly so sleepy was that part of his pre-meds was probably Ativan! It's a strong sedative and me and all my chemo buddies used to Nod right out!! Here's wishing Dan, Becka, and his Wonderful family ALL the love and luck in the world!!!😉

I didn't have kids due to a heart condition. I know exactly what you mean. The worst is when people ask my husband and I if we have kids and we have to awkwardly say no. They usually wind up saying something stupid or hurtful because they don't know how to respond. One lady told me that I could have hers. !! Crazy. I almost said, "no thanks," but instead just laughed. There is not much you can say to that!

Dan! When you were finishing your treatment and you apologized for being tired, and then your waiting for the subway and you were tired and apologizing for it, it really moved me. I know you are trying to show as much as you can, all open and honest, but while I really admire what your doing, I also was hoping you would have just wrapped yourself in a blanked and rested all the way home. It's her choice, she knows full well what she's getting into. She wants to be his wife knowing she will one day be his widow. All spouses marry knowing that one of them will pass first! Even with the odds stacked in favor of Dan going first, the universe could widow him! Bus crash, car crash, random allergic reaction. Ppl die suddenly every single day. To avoid marriage because you will die is ridiculous! Death is the only thing with a 100 percent guarantee in life! It's unfortunate you are here and unable to know that this wonderful man and his wonderful fiance are living life to the absolute fullest despite and in spite of the crappy hands they've been handed!
Glad to see and hear that treatment has finally started. I sure hope it does it’s job and doesn’t make you feel bad like a lot of chemo treatments do. Shame your going to lose your hair but that’s a small price to pay for keeping you here with your family and of course us your devoted friends.

It will be a huge spirit boost for him. But I see the weariness within his eyes. Reminds me of how my brother looked. Makes me tear up honestly, as I miss him so much. But thanks to my brother's wife, it helped him last a year beyond what doctors told him he would make it through.

Praying for you so much. I am also dealing with the horrible sickness of chemo. I know how bad Pactitaxel can be. I was on it in 2010 and again in 2016. My second experience was much worse than my first. Lets just say, I was in the hospital more than out. I pray to God you don't go through this. You need to experience the joy of your new marrage and so much more. I was so happy to see that video. I literly cried when I saw it, like I knew you personally. Thank you for trying to share your experiences, both good and bad. The possitive experiences you show on youtube helps me get through my hard times and chemo sicknesses. I had chemo (cis platin) and currently undergoing immunotherapy. You are so right: the worst bit is always the needle to insert the tube. I close my eyes and just try and relax. The nurse puts your hand in a container of warm (hot!) water to dilate the veins which helps. On my last treatment they had 7 goes at getting the tube in before they got it. The secret apparently is to make sure you are fully hydrated ahead of the treatment. Lesson learned. Anyway, all the best. I’ll be joining everybody else in praying for you during the treatment.

That outfit was amazing love the colour! What I can’t get my head around is the people disliking the videos you put up, how anyone can dislike the bravery of what you are going through is beyond me. Having worked in palliative care I have seen first hand how strong and positive cancer patients can be, always upbeat smiling, and never complaining. Those disliking you sharing your journey have no idea what it’s like and I for one applaud you for letting us into your private life sharing the ups and downs. You have a lovely supportive family, your lady is beautiful and if she needs to arrange stuff people have no right trying to shame her for using her phone a lot. My mom took the same chemo.. she felt really tired and sleepy.. could barely talk ... but at the end.. it just slows down what unfortunately is going to happen .. She didnt want to feel like a quitter for not wanting it anymore.. but I told her that she was the bravest woman I´ve ever know,, and quiting doesnt mean you give up.. It means that you finally accept death and you are ready to rest .. So I wish you could feel same way,.. just enjoy life and quitting chemo at the end makes you bravest than ever before!!

It's my understanding that the preservative taxol is in can cause severe allergic reactions. Therefore they have to give things like benadryl to prevent a reaction. Benadryl can make one sleepy, so maybe you were given something like this in your pre-meds and that's what's making you sleepy. I start my taxol Monday. I wasn't scared of the a/c I had, but I'm a little nervous about the taxol because of the benadryl. It's a dangerous drug for me. Hoping and praying for good results for you, Dan.

Being a RN, I imagine they gave you 50mg Benadryl and definitely an anti nausea med too (like Zoltan or Promethazine) The combo of all those meds can certainly make you tuckered out.
Travel home safe and know how much you are absolutely loved from all parts of the world.

So glad you didn’t get the reaction on the first dose. I did. The poor man getting chemo next to me kind of freaked out when I asked him if my face was red? My face was beet red and I couldn’t breathe. The line infiltrated in my hand. My husband was with me every chemo appt. this time I said, go ahead and leave, run your errands. Nothing is going to happen. Bam! It’s funny now because I’m okay. I loved the Benadryl nap. They say if you don’t get the bad reaction it the first dose , you won’t get it at all. Enjoy the little nap. I pray for more happiness and more love for you. You are amazing!!!!
My mom just finished her nab-paclitaxel therapy. She is stage 4 as well. I am really hoping it will shrink the mets. Fingers crossed

Not a fan of people judging Becky for being on the phone....they had no idea what she was doing....this is a very small clip of your daily life...not a complete picture of what she does on a daily basis...maybe it was important....or her way to unwind or avoid the camera....it doesn't matter and there is nothing wrong with that...I am very camera shy myself or sometimes I need a few minutes of escape if I am having a hard day....she shouldn't be judged like that...anyway..much love Dan and Becky..Congratulations!! My friend is getting Taxol treatments once a week now for BC treatment and she usually feels somewhat OK for Day 1 and 2, but by Day 3 and 4, it hits her hard. :(
Yes, if you're not ready for that sort of de-layed reaction it can really rock your world. I was on doce-taxol also called taxotere, and it was really rough around the 4th or 5th day! But after surgery was put on the Taxol that Dan is prescribed and tolerated it really well!.....wishing him the same of course! I think what made Dan suddenly so sleepy was that part of his pre-meds was probably Ativan! It's a strong sedative and me and all my chemo buddies used to Nod right out!! Here's wishing Dan, Becka, and his Wonderful family ALL the love and luck in the world!!!😉

I didn't have kids due to a heart condition. I know exactly what you mean. The worst is when people ask my husband and I if we have kids and we have to awkwardly say no. They usually wind up saying something stupid or hurtful because they don't know how to respond. One lady told me that I could have hers. !! Crazy. I almost said, "no thanks," but instead just laughed. There is not much you can say to that!

When you were finishing your treatment and you apologized for being tired, and then your waiting for the subway and you were tired and apologizing for it, it really moved me. I know you are trying to show as much as you can, all open and honest, but while I really admire what your doing, I also was hoping you would have just wrapped yourself in a blanked and rested all the way home. I guess I'm just asking you to put your needs first and if that means your just too tired to do something, then please put yourself first.
