Ich habe in sehr kurzem Zeitraum Sohn, Schwester, u. Vater verloren, meine Mum aktuell im KH mit Nebensymptomen der Demenz u. bin selber seit über 30 J. mehrfach chr.krank u. Chr.Schmerzpatientin. Man kann immer nur sich selbst ändern, letzten Endes sein Leben selber gestalten, leben. Meine Schwester starb 03/2016 an Krebs. Sie verschwand 10/2014 ohne 1 Wort aus dem Leben der kompl.Familie nach Ibiza. Ich erfuhr erst 03/2018 dass sie tot u. dort beerdigt ist 😢 Sie wusste wohl, dass es ihre Restzeit ist. Mein Vater hat sich über ihr Verschwinden ganze Zeit so sehr aufgeregt, dass er daran verstarb. Sie starben innerhalb 7 Tg.und niemand wusste davon. Heute respektiere ich aufgrund dieser u.weiterer Erfahrungen jede Art u. Weise der eigenen Lebensgestaltung bishin zum Tod. Wir entscheiden nun mal nicht für Andere, solange diese für sich selber entscheidungsfähig sind. Das ist gut so und ob wir das verstehen oder nicht spielt letzten Endes gar keine Rolle 😉 Um dieses (mein) Verständnis zu festigen, schaue ich u.a.diese Lebensdokumentationen versch.Menschen. Ob Dan nun 36 Std.Nonstop packt, eine Giraffe im Garten parkt, oder alles schmeisst u.nach XY auswandert. Watching honestly made me realise while yes my illness took away many many things away I also LET IT take certain things away and actually those things are the ones I mourn the most ! Having a shorter life expectancy...unable to have kids..daily pain ect sucks but what hurts more is the isolation...locking myself away and waiting to die instead of grabbing every second like he does and I let the illness steal those things away and as he’s opened my eyes to grab it and just do it ! It’s said a lot and no doubt is peewee and inspiration to many he’s actually changed the way I strive to live ❤️
I was ill in bed last week, just man flu or whatever, but when I was puking and laying in bed feeling delirious I was thinking about you, and how much it must suck to go through so much prolonged sickness, but also how strong your are to still seem upbeat in these videos. It's really easy to think when one is fit and healthy that it would be a natural thing to want to fight and get through it, but a different thing when one is actually sick and in pain. I don't think I could do it. Still inspiring me Dan!

Animals really help people bond together. I got my dad a stray kitten when he had cancer. It brought him some joy during a hard time and really helped everyone with stress. I called the kitten a gift from god. I just came home from work one day to find him sitting at my door. His too back legs had been broken, so I helped him and he truly helped me.
Still miss you so much Daniel and your beautiful smile you sir were and still are such a brilliant inspiration till this day and I know beyond for so many. But yeah .I just miss you man much love to your family and friends.

You are so brave, Dan. I'm sorry you are getting so sick. When my sis was close the end of her five (six?) Year battle with leiomyosarcoma, she finally decided to ditch all the chemos, radiation...& just do pain management medications. Honestly don't know if that shortened her time any, but at least she wasn't getting so sick. Hurling while having tumor pain is so awfully...awful! I'm praying for you every day. I hope the sickness eases soon Dan. Your kitten is soooooo cute! Also I got so excited when an e mail arrived in my inbox saying my first hoodie order had been completed. Squeeeeeeee. I am disabled have frequent tics, spasms, dystonia, pain fatigue yada my brain sends and receives the wrong signals the hoodie says what I've thought for the last 4 years since becoming mostly house bound. I will try and get out in my wheel chair and get a pic of me wearing it when it arrives.
Watching your videos made me see that what's going on with me is nothing compared to what you are going through and I have to remind myself to keep smiling and to keep going. If Dan can do it I can do it.

I started writing at 1 am in Ontario Canada. Before that I watched for a few hours..... I wrote a short book. Then I stopped to ? everything I had written. I was a nurse before I had to stop working due to multiple chronic illnesses. I have forgotten what life without pain is like, & normal? What is that? Watching you share such a personal & long journey..... well .... I can’t put it all in words. I’ll just say that anyone who takes the time to watch & listen will learn. About you of course, about the agonizing diagnosis of Cancer, & perhaps something about the themselves. Sharing your journey is a gift in a way. It also means that you have likely taken a space in many ppl’s hearts. I just want to say Thank You! It can’t be easy to share so much when things get really rough.... when saying out loud, what most of us fear the most. I could ramble on & on, but honestly your time is much better spent doing what you love the most, with those you love the most, for as long as you physically & mentally can. I wish for you as little pain as possible (ideally none but if ppl have watched, they already know there’s too much) I wish that each & every moment is precious & kind. I pray you know as much love as possible & that you know you have touched many hearts & souls. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family & friends. Amen

Niemand weiss, wir WIR in gleicher Situation handeln würden. Jeder gibt seinem Leben bis zum Schluss individuell einen Sinn oder auch nicht. Ganz wie er mag. Ich habe in sehr kurzem Zeitraum Sohn, Schwester, u. Vater verloren, meine Mum aktuell im KH mit Nebensymptomen der Demenz u. bin selber seit über 30 J. mehrfach chr.krank u. Chr.Schmerzpatientin. Man kann immer nur sich selbst ändern, letzten Endes sein Leben selber gestalten, leben.
Meine Schwester starb 03/2016 an Krebs. Sie verschwand 10/2014 ohne 1 Wort aus dem Leben der kompl.Familie nach Ibiza. Ich erfuhr erst 03/2018 dass sie tot u. dort beerdigt ist 😢 Sie wusste wohl, dass es ihre Restzeit ist.
Mein Vater hat sich über ihr Verschwinden ganze Zeit so sehr aufgeregt, dass er daran verstarb. Sie starben innerhalb 7 Tg.und niemand wusste davon.
Heute respektiere ich aufgrund dieser u.weiterer Erfahrungen jede Art u. Weise der eigenen Lebensgestaltung bishin zum Tod. Wir entscheiden nun mal nicht für Andere, solange diese für sich selber entscheidungsfähig sind. Das ist gut so und ob wir das verstehen oder nicht spielt letzten Endes gar keine Rolle 😉
Um dieses (mein) Verständnis zu festigen, schaue ich u.a.diese Lebensdokumentationen versch.Menschen.
Ob Dan nun 36 Std.Nonstop packt, eine Giraffe im Garten parkt, oder alles schmeisst u.nach XY auswandert. Ich denke heute ALLES ist OK und es hat mit uns selber zu tun, wenn wir mit den Entscheidungen nicht klar kommen 😉

Watching honestly made me realise while yes my illness took away many many things away I also LET IT take certain things away and actually those things are the ones I mourn the most ! Having a shorter life expectancy...unable to have kids..daily pain ect sucks but what hurts more is the isolation...locking myself away and waiting to die instead of grabbing every second like he does and I let the illness steal those things away and as he’s opened my eyes to grab it and just do it ! It’s said a lot and no doubt is peewee and inspiration to many he’s actually changed the way I strive to live ❤️

I was ill in bed last week, just man flu or whatever, but when I was puking and laying in bed feeling delirious I was thinking about you, and how much it must suck to go through so much prolonged sickness, but also how strong your are to still seem upbeat in these videos. It's really easy to think when one is fit and healthy that it would be a natural thing to want to fight and get through it, but a different thing when one is actually sick and in pain. I don't think I could do it. Still inspiring me Dan!

Animals really help people bond together. I got my dad a stray kitten when he had cancer. It brought him some joy during a hard time and really helped everyone with stress. I called the kitten a gift from god. I just came home from work one day to find him sitting at my door. His too back legs had been broken, so I helped him and he truly helped me.

You are so brave, Dan. I'm sorry you are getting so sick. When my sis was close the end of her five (six?) Year battle with leiomyosarcoma, she finally decided to ditch all the chemos, radiation...& just do pain management medications. Honestly don't know if that shortened her time any, but at least she wasn't getting so sick. Hurling while having tumor pain is so awfully...awful! I'm praying for you every day. Take care of you; no bravery needed; just put yourself first. Love your kitten, too! Hugs

I hope the sickness eases soon Dan. Your kitten is soooooo cute! Also I got so excited when an e mail arrived in my inbox saying my first hoodie order had been completed. Squeeeeeeee. I am disabled have frequent tics, spasms, dystonia, pain fatigue yada my brain sends and receives the wrong signals the hoodie says what I've thought for the last 4 years since becoming mostly house bound. I will try and get out in my wheel chair and get a pic of me wearing it when it arrives.
Watching your videos made me see that what's going on with me is nothing compared to what you are going through and I have to remind myself to keep smiling and to keep going. If Dan can do it I can do it.
so just a week later he passed. He looks so much more vibrant and energy than i have been in my 20s and 30s.
This came up on my recommended. It's been 3 years and now my daughter is gone too. I hope Becky and all of Dan's family are doing the best they can.

I started writing at 1 am in Ontario Canada. Before that I watched for a few hours..... I wrote a short book. Then I stopped to ? everything I had written. I was a nurse before I had to stop working due to multiple chronic illnesses. I have forgotten what life without pain is like, & normal? What is that? Watching you share such a personal & long journey..... well .... I can’t put it all in words. I’ll just say that anyone who takes the time to watch & listen will learn. About you of course, about the agonizing diagnosis of Cancer, & perhaps something about the themselves. Sharing your journey is a gift in a way. It also means that you have likely taken a space in many ppl’s hearts. I just want to say Thank You! It can’t be easy to share so much when things get really rough.... when saying out loud, what most of us fear the most. I could ramble on & on, but honestly your time is much better spent doing what you love the most, with those you love the most, for as long as you physically & mentally can. I wish for you as little pain as possible (ideally none but if ppl have watched, they already know there’s too much) I wish that each & every moment is precious & kind. I pray you know as much love as possible & that you know you have touched many hearts & souls. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family & friends. Amen
