  • This is an explanation of how I chose to create my hastily constructed fighting positions. This is not necessarily to military standard but I feel like it accomplishes the goal of cover and concealment quickly, for a security posture of 12-24hr. Hope you learn something! Thanks for watching. #preparedness #diy #citizen #forest

I've dug lots of holes on the Blue Ridge, specifically Chestnut Ridge. It is some terrible soil to get through. The Appalachians are the land Etools go to die. I might rather be shot than dig a fox hole up there.

What length of time is the armpit depth recommendation for a foxhole?

Sometimes you have to dig a armpit deep foxhole for 12-24hr it just depends on your threat level and what you are doing in the woods. Id dig deep if i was setting up a deliberate blocking or security position. But just resting for a few hours on a patrol overnight? id just make it hasty. It really depends on how many people you have, what you are doing, how long you will be there and how much noise you want to make digging a 5 foot hole.

The sound is a bit poor, cannot hear much, Also how hot was the digging part, was it sweating and tiering?
