      @sayhellotoyou9271 Před 4 lety +20

      @@lovrika8491 an open bolt gun is different from a bolt action, it is a "class" of semiauto or automatic firearms. Open bolt means that the bolt is locked at the back of the receiver and slides forward when you pull the trigger, it is much more simple then a closed bolt firearm because it does not need a firing pin. closed bolt is when the bolt slides forward and chambers a round from the magazine.
      Advantages of open bolt:
      1) cheaper and easier to manufacture
      2) round is kept in magazine which is useful for machineguns that barrels are hot and cookoff (the powder is heated up by the barrel and combusts) can occur
      disadvantages:
      1)jolting when the bolt stops at the front of the receiver can cause inaccuracies.
      2)the bolt has to travel a far distance which results in a larger delay between the trigger press and firing than an closed bolt.

      And they overcomplicated everything to utter absurd. I mean, real guns have way simpler mechanisms, such as the trigger group and the operation system, contrary to abominations the engineers of this studio came up with.
      UPD: I know, this is intuitive in a way, but only if you're completely new to guns e.g. the average Joe and have to be taught the very fundamentals; either way, when actually dealing with guns' mechanisms, you'll have to wrap your head around it all over again with different guns. And yeah, don't show this series to a gunsmith

    • @ShaneNanahginns
      @ShaneNanahginns Před 3 lety +4

      That's why some semi-autos are only semi auto because they don't have an auto-sear... This is why some semi auto guns can ONLY BE SEMI-AUTO, but most fully-automatics have semi-auto only models that can't be converted because they can't be converted without machining the gun so it has the proper tolerances (space, strength, heat & pressure tolerances etc.)

    • @connor3288
      @connor3288 Před 2 lety +1

      I believe you should think of it more as the bolt action demonstrated, it is still manually operated, like a bolt or pump action. Lever actions are just a different way of doing the same job. Blowback is a type of gas operation used for autoloading, not even close to the same thing as lever action. Hope this helps
