I did a cold turkey switch to brakeless fixed 4 days ago. For me the connection to the bike builds a responsiveness. This responsiveness contains granular speed control and intuitive forethought attached to my riding. Makes riding very much a creative act for me. Plus you're just a BAMF
1st skid: NOOB skid(dont get that habit!) 2nd skid: whip skid(good skid...gives you more control and swagg :D) 3rd skid: suicide skid(dangerous but fun)
Yo keep riding ;ittle dudes and have fun. Dont let adults push you into driving when you are older. Im 23 no liscence but i keep on riding cause its fun. And try to remember to thank your bike everyday.
love all bikes, had a chopper, bmx's, mtbs, roads but for the first time i just dont get it, braking seems a costly rubber exercise - im sure there are skills to develop and minimise that, but unless you live in holland climbing any real gradient IS going to be a pain in the arse not ripping it though, people need to be on bikes and its different strokes... i just cant see where it fits in if you know what i mean
@nilo2209 oh yea...I'm familiar with spd pedals, I got a set on my road bike. I still envy you guys for having such a nice city with smooth, straight tarmac, perfect for fixies.
If this was voiced by a adult... I'm pretty sure this vid would have about 95% likes instead of 30%... seriously guys there is nothing wrong with this video...
That! And depending on the state and its laws, riding brakeless is illegal. In California, if you're hit by a car, even at the fault of the driver, and you don't have a brake they pin it on the cyclist for riding illegally.
@nilo2209 I wanna try but in my area there are so many hills. a fixie is not a good way to travel around, the rear fork will have a lot of torsion . I rode something similar to a fixie but with a brake in the rear axle (ucrainian, heavy steel bike ), that was a bitch to ride :)). have fun !
You dudes are kiddin me, right?.. Come on kiddies, gather a bunch of parts from random junkers, then put 'em grandma's old bike-learn to ride on that stamped-steel frame with an internal 3-speed.... Cause whatcha just showed me I'd known at age nine..it's the best way to leave a long skid mark and not have to walk your bike home.
anyone care to give me a heads up on fixies? whats the attraction? to me its the worst of both worlds, a road bike without gears or brakes/ a bmx without chunky wheels and no brakes i puzzled
really? you're gonna go and say that your bike is better than another? grow up. as someone that rides MTB's in snow, and a fixed gear, i can attest that BOTH are super fun.
why are there videos explaining how to do that.... that's like square one shit when i was a kid.... just get out and ride, skin a couple of knees, trial and error
you don't really need to do any of this "lock your waist into your bars" shit to skid. you just take a little weight off the rear wheel and stop pedaling. skidding kinda sucks anyway, unless you enjoy buying tires all the time.
I understand a fixie for track but for road conditions, maybe fixie girls don't know when to change gears ! :))) joooking you fanatiks. how heavy are these bikes? cause I rode a 20 kilo torpedo on the rear wheel-not a fixie ok. just curious !

I never ride with my hands on my pedals, I keep my hands on my handlebars
Yo keep riding ;ittle dudes and have fun. Dont let adults push you into driving when you are older. Im 23 no liscence but i keep on riding cause its fun. And try to remember to thank your bike everyday.
Nice fedora/gym shorts combo.
brakes would work too, but this is a cool video, good work kids
It's all in fun until someone gets hurt, then it's even fun...nier.
The "midskid" looks like a more aggressive way of a whipskid
premium rush...great now everyones going to want them
I used to just jam my shoe in between the tire and the frame front or back. No handlebar pinching or brakes required.
Ok son but if you've been on the streets longer than I have you would know with enough practice and leg cardio that you CAN skid on your seat.
proof it
Wow, shoving your fingers into the spokes is a pretty smart thing to do

not ripping it though, people need to be on bikes and its different strokes...
i just cant see where it fits in if you know what i mean
front brake home-skillz! knees and tires wear out~live it up!!
i,m still unsure about one thing; where to put my leg??? is it on the tire or on the rim....
First skid is what we call a nut skid....
You can quick skid , its as easy as using a brake and fun
Magnificent houses around there!

my gay pimp neighbor called, he wants you to return his hat.
it would be fun to watch if one of your finger got stuck in to those spokes LOL
WHAT AT 0:27 YOU CAN TAKE YOUR HANDS OF THE PADDLE!!! How did they come there???? xD

u guys sure do hav tight chains especially on the purple 1
buy some toe clips, a helmet, and get your name on the waiting list for finger donors XD
I use breaks and have skid i only have breaks on my front wheel if i panic or my bake tire is bout to pop
you could also buy a fixie and use front brakes! lol i know people do crazy shit just to look cool.

Fuck skidding, it's wears down the tire alot and it's not safe having no brakes
A deer in headlights thats what a swaggy fixie riders do

HAHA he reminded me of one of the guys from WRONG TURN. HAHA
nice skid gurlllll

I don't think i can do that on my fixie, i dont think my bar is long enough to lean up
can you do a bike check on the Se Draft lite purple i might get this bike
never stick your fingers near the spokes like that, kiddoes.
i meant make a review on that purple bike
This is a tutorial on how to teabag the handle bars

Haha I get it you guys put songs that would be on Tokyo Drift and drifted (skid) on bikes, nice
:25 You take your hands off the pedals??? haha
white bike needs to get some clips/straps.

@DragonXist All the bad ass professional fixie riding NY Brooklyn messengers put their feet on the tire.
balls boom
@FructusSum ehem, I did it for years, wearing dc shoes, also bumps in the road are irrelevant.
Lot of hate on this video for a bunch of kids having some fun.
@MrNerfBlood u mean the surfer ??
Nice vid, kids.

TOOLS!
I sense jealousy.
Good job haters...Very constructive comments
Or you can also just skid while staying in the saddle
@thischannelisstaged haha, 56 19 is still really low man. only 77 gear inches. 56 19 is technically not that much harder than 48 17.
@robertsakuraba If I worried about all the rubbers I burn up having fun I'd have to give up racing, skidding and sex.
@dirtpro21 isnt the blonde kid Rocket Klein??
even my granmal knows better jkjk nice !!
you guys from cali?
who thinks he looks like the guy from the goonies :DDD
"BABY ROOTH"

If you dont like fixed gears dont ride them problem solved stop searching them if you dont like them, stop hating, your the problem with the world.
thats amazing can you do it on a bmx?
Only if you have it on fixed gear
u would not do this going 29 mph down Downtown LA's rush hour
that is not how you skid thats how you get tossed over the bars....
0:36 Enjoy face xD
They're Chains Are Loose As Fuck .
people giving these kids shit pisses me off.
at least they are riding and not just playing cod all day.
