-----
Isaac Lee Hayes Jr. (August 20, 1942 - August 10, 2008) was an American singer, actor, songwriter, and composer. He was one of the creative forces behind the Southern soul music label Stax Records, where he served both as an in-house songwriter and as a session musician and record producer, teaming with his partner David Porter during the mid-1960s. Hayes and Porter were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005 in recognition of writing scores of songs for themselves, the duo Sam & Dave, Carla Thomas, and others. In 2002, Hayes was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. - Wikipedia

I remember this very well. I was 15 yrs old during the popularity of Isaac Hayes. His style of music lyrics of love life love heart aches and heart breaks. I discovered my talent of Choreography and theatrical dance via his version of Walk On By. However his soundtrack Shaft was still is and will always BE A BAD MOTHER "Shut your mouth"
Isacc Hayes....one of the Greatest song writer's of all time....I heard it said he composed SHAFT. In 24 hrs
I agree 👍
He was a musical genius. He could play many instruments. He gift was evident in high school.
Less than three hours for much of it he said in an interview.
ONE OF THE BEST AND TRUE SHOWMAN EVER BORN
I'm remembering comfortable cars and 8 track stereo systems, imagining we were at a live performance. Thank you for this.
Great stuff! Always worth watching. One of my favourite artists. Theme from Shaft... Yeah! Ike won the Oscar for that too. Total legend.
Listen to the album Black Moses.
Classic
Wow
Thanx so much for sharing!!!!!
Worth a look. I've worn a lot of disguises and costumes over the years, even women's clothes. But like with Mister T and Black Moses- I never dug on chains as a fashion accessory. And they were saying that they were replacing the slave chains, with the Gold chains, to represent their freedom. I would never want to replace a one color chain, with another color chain, gold or anything else. It's still a chain. And Isaac Hayes didn't keep any of his money.
Aah.....I love it !
Yesss Awesome one of the greats songwriter, composer and musician 👏🏾❤️🤩💯💥✨️
Icon. Legend. Sex symbol. Black Moses.
