An Irish football player on an Irish CZcams channel , talking about playing for a Welsh football team, owned by Americans, in an English league. What a lovely picture of an integrated society.
Reynolds is Canadian
It is a fairytale if you are from Wrexham like me. From almost bankrupt to winning the national league in a few years is amazing 🎉
It's nice to see your owners have genuine passion and fallen love with the club.
We are entering the “happily ever after” phase.
From the states as a kansas city chiefs fan and local we know the pain
I was born in Dublin, live in Salford, work with lads from Wrexham, support Man U and love the whole Wrexham thing
I love the Irish and Celtic connection at Wrexham FC!
I am a Wrexham and Celtic fan and to me both clubs are very much similar in terms of their fanbase and core values which is they are both working class teams that give its people a hope through desparity and hardship.
Well done Anthony, I've enjoyed watching you play and seeing the fear of players when they came against you!
Congratulations to you all!
I’m from Wrexham, I have ancestors from County Mayo 🏴🇨🇮
Oh the green and red of Mayo 💚❤️…
I'm a Yank but Clan Barry (County Cork), Slánte 🇮🇪 🏴 🇺🇸
Oiiiirrish Boyz takin' over :)
O'Connor,O'Connel and Forde have been class 👏
Great Irish contingent at Wrexham FC! 🇮🇪 🏴 keep smashing it!
Love it. Thanks for the interview. Checking in from the middle of America, Omaha, Nebraska. Firmly on the Wrexham train, most exciting ride in football(soccer) right now. Sky is the limit I believe. With the owners now and the potential of investors for the future I may be naive but why not aim from the Premiere League? Must give each step along the way the proper respect, build the club up right. Exciting times in Wrexham.
They are aiming for the Premier League. Whether they make it is another matter but that's part of the excitement. What I find amazing is that the Wrexham story is being watched by people in Nebraska. Mad but wonderful.
@@harryselwind Yeah I caught wind really when I heard they Ryan and Rob bought the club. My excitement took off after watching the documentary. I wear my Wrexham gear around and always get comments about it.
They must be the only 2 well loved American owners in Prem Lge today 😊
Here's an extended interview from S4C (Welsh channel) 🏴

I remember back then you heard stories of Matthew Harding local boy done good, buys his local team Chelsea!
He'd bring his dad, brothers & friends to the game,
As he wouldn't be involved in the "Prawn Sandwich Brigade" 🥪
He was a real fan like the two above, sadly he was killed in a chopper accident, in bad weather,
he always used it to fly to games wherever he was!
He has a stand named to remember him!
Rob McIlhenny has his own Irish connection as once I heard a podcast on the sister station Todayfm that they were looking for a body double for Danny de Vito for an Irish themed episode at The Cliffs of Moher (i also didn't realise he created IASIPhiladelphia)
His Irish connection i believe is Antrim in NI (also ancestral home of NFL Aaron Rodgers!)
But said he's not related (but wishes he was) to the other similarly named surnames
McIlhenney who owns Tabasco sauce,
Another one who created a valve for a toilet!
Another was a famous professor who useta to escape to Dunlewey Castle (in Donegal, IE) he bought,
& have famous socialite parties in where they useta hide from the mayhem)
(afaik was the 30's)
But one time he did disappear to Ireland & was never seen again!
It could be one reason it's called Paddy's Bar, as far back as 1700s there were skilled labourers from the Ulster Counties (Tyrone, Donegal, Derry & Antrim)
That built the railways back then
Little known fact that Slieve League Cliffs are 3x size of Cliffs of Moher 😊
Proper people, proper club
Great interview!
Rob McElhenny calls Gareth Bale out of retirement. He tweeted Bale he wants him.
That would be fantastic
Live from the golf course.
@@FansOfCrypto We've got Fozzy undercover at the fairway
@@FansOfCrypto Several good courses 'round Wrexham, that's a must!
Don't need bale
Great interview. 👍.
Get Tom O'Connor on
Celtic Wrexham Always been good friends
Guy is still recovering the celebrations lol needs some coffee
MAN, IS HE ON IG AS WELL ? ^^
How do yank fans watch the games? As much as I would love to spend 4k on a trip to share a pint maybe I could watch and meet fans online. Like wc rugby I had to learn the rules. For me the offside rule I need explanation of.
In rugby it's laws not rules....offside in football is when the ball is kicked if 2 players from defence are in front of you ,then you are on side...caveats...in your own half doesn't apply and a player in an offside position who is not interfering with play is not offside....doesn't make sense... I know.
@@russdmc1864 thanks for trying to explain
League of Ireland 🇮🇪. soccer industry. Is on the rise !.
🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱
It's a nice story but it's not a fairytale.
It is a fairytale off the pitch, holywood actors buying your club and taking you out of national league, it's not a fairytale story on the pitch because of the money and the players
For the people and fans of wrexham and considering they almost folded their club in 2011, it is a fairytale. And if the owners continue their way of support then it is only just beginning.
The reality is in the modern game without significant financial investment stuff like this just doesn't happen
Just like Cinderella is not a fairy tale simply because Fairy Godmother showed up and gifted Cinderella her fancy ballgown and coach. And because of that, a rich handsome prince took notice and wanted to marry her.
Out of all the clubs in the world for Ryan and Rob to buy, they picked Wrexham.....a club that was in sh**, they shouldn't even exist..it's fairytale enough
It’s not a fairytale the two that own it have put lots of money into the club and that’s why they went up they bought the league nothing more than a good team no fairytale no nothing
It is for those who've followed the club for years and were among the former fan owners. The difference with them was that what they paid for the club didn't go to the former owners, it stayed in the club
Misery guts.
What a happy chappie you must be. Saddo
You wouldn't be from Hartlepool by any chance?😂
