Rayner this is similar to how I do it, only I do it with 1R but I lock in that 1R by trailing stop before taking another setup and scale in with another 1R so risk is still only 1R. I think that's safer than betting on open profit.
I learned this method by watching a live video by a non English speaker. It has been the most successful method I have learned thus far! Winning nearly 90% of trades as a relative novice to forex.
when I scale out 50% of my profit trade... my trade postion changed and goes to where current market price is ( where I scale out)... while tp and sl stays on the same position...why is this happening and what am I doing wrong here?
Aweesome, thanks! One question tho when you say risking 1k or $300 do you mean the amount of money you'd lose if it hits your stop loss or your total book cost? Thanks
Hey Rayner, thanks a lot for all the info you share with us. I have another question...how do you plan your working day? I am definitively having trouble between checking my cancelled operations and looking for new opportunities....also do you have some ideas on how choose by priority from several setups (i.e best R/R or bigger USD value). Thanks and best regards
Hi Rayner, question about reducing size. Does it more rewarding statistically , I mean does that decision based on statistically data? Are professional trader always do it that way? Thanks.
hi,Rayner, you had told us how to set sl by using ATR,may i ask is there any technics that can tell us how long to wait for the trade or how many candle stick is expected to wait?
I don`t see why you should scale in if you have defined the maximum risk and your strategy is triggered by a price-movement. Scaling out and take profits, that is far better.
@@busarimaleek1907 They allow scaling out but not in some call it netting however its the exact same as taking a new position or putting on 2 positions 1 existing and 1 new?? theres no point in netting.
It means you don't start scaling in with other add on positions until you have at least 3 times your initial risk in profit, so if you risked $1000 on your first position, don't start adding on until you have a buffer/cushion of $3000 in profit first.
In other words, "Don't be greedy when scaling in". Great advise Rayner. Really enjoy your videos. Cheers Jake
This is the best lesson on scaling in I found on CZcams.
I'm watching different Videos of stock market since 2 years but nobody told this unique method.
Thanks Rayner

What is open profits 3R?
Might be 3 resistance levels to watch out for? Just a Guess.

i allways Scale in when it goes down... i never scale in when it goes up. i scale out when it goes up.
You are doing it backwards. Adding risk on bad trade when you should be adding risk on trades that have moved your way.
Busy Works Beats anybody lol

Watch the candles buuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrn........ Until you go insane. (macho man voice)...
Please explain 3R
If you risk $100 and make $300, that's a profit of 3R.
Profit divide by risk amount
