Your guys should really2 read the book, i feel like it is 80% complete guide on how to trade and the other 20% is literally you doing it and gain some experience !! Decent work Rayner. Trend sounds pretty easy but can be quite confusing for students due to the different time frames. We like to talk about "primary trend", such as D1 or at least H4 and about local trends in the lower time frames. In fact you are right, as a day trader, the "sweet spots" for good training opportunities are to be located in the higher time frames, while the trading job is done in the lower ones. That´s where things get tricky... when people enter trades in what they think is THE trend direction, whitout aknowledging that this is actually a counter trade if considering the primary trend. The same if taking the 200 MA as a reference for a buying or a selling market: in D1 or H4, the 200MA can be below the price but in the H1 and M5 it will be above... I think it´s a good idea to go deep into this basic but yet essential topic, which is for sure a reason for many fail trades. Greetings from our Munich trading office! Keep up the good work!

The last thing he said, "If you don't get the market don't put or enter that market just for the sake of trading" oh man ! it took me nearly a year to learn it as I always thought I wasn't good enough or *' should trade'*.
Very true. Uncertainty is profit loss. Studying your stock pick and the usual manipulators and variables that move that stock price will give you more wins than losses.
