the latest eve-ng iso is not working on macbook m1 for me. Did anyone followed the steps and is it working for them ? I am trying to find the solution from several months but it is not working.

The process of adding any image is listed on the eve ng website. You can refer the documentation on their website.
Nice video, 1st I tried bare install onto my mac mini but gets log-in without ip and the login didn't work. Tried many but same and forced me to reinstall macos couple times then retry. same output. Then I found your video, and tried UTM following your video. But same output, no ip no login. On the other machin which is 16 yrs old! I found I didn't dump, I was able to replace windows vista with eve-ng successfully. Except speed , it works well. So back to mac, what might be the reason for no ip and login failure?
had the same issue:
first you need to finish installation completely along with downloading step to finish
Second, when it reboots, wait for it since it will continue downloading/unpacking and installing stuff
Third, it will reboot multiple times by itself.
Forth, you might need to reboot it one final time to get the IP. If not, you must capture the IP it got while installation process and HTTP to it and you will be able to use eve-ng

Can you share the ISO file you installed on the video, The one I download from the EVE-NG page isn't working.
Yes, with the new version of the iso we don't encounter the same screens. Also even when we reach the end of the installation, the default password does not work.
As there is some problem in the ISO. I have figured out a way to run latest eve-ng without login credential problem. I will upload video which contains the solution.

Network Mode is Bridged Advanced , bridged interface is default i.e. en0 and Emulated network card is intel gigabit ethernet (e1000).

I believe the problem is with systemctl status networking.service.

@@kajupu2275 welcome, I hope this problem solves, what you can try is to change the network because sometimes utm is not able to fetch ip. In my case i was not able to get ip on my wifi but when I switched to mobile hotspot utm was able to fetch ip from dhcp. If this doesn’t help then I would recommend you to check network service of linux machine.

We were able to solve the problem.
I can use EVE-NG on my M1Mac.
I had to solve a lot of things to solve the problem.
DHCPv4 address is not enabled.
⇛Fixed IP address assignment
I can't log in as root/eve.
⇛Enabling root password in Ubuntu recovery mode.
Problem that the initial setup screen of EVE-NG is not displayed.
⇛. Execution of /eve-setup
There are still a few problems.

I'm not able to add Images, I follow the eve-ng web page documentation, I did in windows and it worked, but not in mac M1, any sugestion?
What error you get when you try to upload images?
Unfortunately it doesn't come up like this one my Mac is there another way that I can run eve-ng on mac m1 ?

Well, not quite. Still getting errors - "Guest has not initialized the display (yet)" - on windows vm on eve-ng. Any idea?
had the same issue on linux image on eve-ng.. I guess eve-ng will not support nested virtualisation? still trying other stuff. If you reach anything let me know. thanks

GNS3 or EVE-Ng on m1 laptop which one is faster, or both equal slow due to emulation?
Both are using same emulation engine that is QEMU. so there is not much difference of speed.

@@WaheSec Oh sorry for misunderstanding, i request that i will use eve-ng by m1 mac(basic m1 chip,16GB) on utm for network study, this condition smoothly activate? or need exterior server for activating eve-ng?
@@tjdwls0777 if your network is small with few routers and switches then utm is fine, otherwise you’ll need x64 hosted external server. I recommend x64 server for fast performance as M1 is doing emulation.

Actually the latest version of eve is not accepting default user and password. It maybe a bug. Even it’s not working on my end as well

Try to check drives in vm settings. Make sure that they are IDE, next you can try to reinstall utm

A laptop with 16gb ram and 4 cores intel processor would be fine.

CSR1000v requires more cpu power and ram so it will be barely usable.

Hello … I tried to install event on my MacBook Pro M1 max .using UTM but can’t get the password correct for some reason tried root/eve but it’s not working

@@WaheSec - VMDK step is working fine .. I have even added the nodes (Cisco ,juniper,fortigate ) but for some reason when I try to open the console to the device it’s open in Terminal app and throughs an error.
@@sukhrajmaencar5583 I believe it looking for telnet in /usr/bin while actual telnet located in /usr/local/bin
I dunno where to change eve default telnet PATH
