Listening to your guys enthusiasm for castle assault has me really bummed I have something on that weekend! Wouldâve been great to attend as my first tourney. Youâve really sold it with the amount of beer involved đ ah well always next year I suppose
For me not just copying the 6th edition magic phase was a huge MISS, itâs my favourite part of Warhammer and I found inherently balanced from a game mechanic standpoint. Sure a couple armies in 6th that could generate excess power dice were broken but thatâs an easy change. I do love the current spell lores and think they offer great variety.
Bring back the TK 6th ed magic phase I say :)

Really enjoyed the event conversation. Kendall definitely on point. If a list denyâs an opponent a realistic chance to interact with the game then it should be binned.
Cudos for Kendall for putting on the event & being open about what a âdickâ list is. I agree with all his points & respect his experience.
Sadly, in my experience with some not understanding what a friendly competitive list is without some written guidance heâll maybe having too many conversations with time wasters looking to push the boundaries of what is âfairâ. Which is why Iâd go some kind of comp/ guidance to weed out table top bullies any day.
I get itâs early days etc but experienced players already know that some restrictions & or guidance on what is OTT or crap interaction is needed. The loudest noises are those that want free range to be a dick until some unspecified time when it is magically OK to have some comp restrictions to weed out the wanna be game breakers or socially inadequate.
Yeah great points. Kendall is pretty fair with his DBAD assessments. But obviously some people would feel hard done by if their list gets flagged for dickery. Like you said written comp restrictions give you clearer guidance so people cant whine. In Kendall we trust.
Jesus I didn't think there could be a worse TO than the guy that ran the Nova open but here we are. What an absolute clown, it's people like this that make me want to go back to AoS. Not everyone's a giant baby that cries when then see a Chaos Lord on Dragon (which hasn't even 5-0d at any events btw.)
Haha mate are you for real? He isnt saying no chaos dragon, just 3 layers of saves on a chaos dragon is pretty strong, so are a few other builds. Who cares, the rules apply to everyone. TOs put alot of time and effort into running events, they dont deserve to get run down like that. Pretty s#@t comment to make dude.
@@NewyDad8076 the guy wants his event to be comped but sounded like he got all his opinions from reddit and facebook groups so just slapped some weird wishy washy shit in his pack and calls it a day. If I wanted to go to an event and my only option was this i'd be pretty sad.
Then you haven't been to Castle Assault. Who cares what comp it is, it's all about the experience of the event!! One of a kind tournament IMO
