I understand why some people are irritated with Reed and how he basically shouts at everyone when it comes to a tornado being on the ground. Keep in mind that everything is basically on his shoulders, from having to call the channel news and report what he sees, carrying the team into a tornado and making sure they make it out safely knowing very well that death is an possibility at any point, having to look onto the computer to see what directions/paths they have to take to keep up with the tornado and more! Of course he's going to shout, he has all this adrenaline and probably stress that he's the one everyone in the car with him and the ones who follow him rely on to get the data they need for the job they're supposed to do. Also keep in mind they usually always have their windows down and winds that are produced by tornadoes are extremely loud, so maybe that's another cause. But this is just my opinion why Reed is one of the best Storm Chasers I've seen. He carries a whole team directly on his shoulders while doing all these multiple things and still manages to get everyone to safety to the best of his abilities.
💅
🤡😤
I agree with you.
@CC Hank isn't any better than Reed, he is much quieter but that's just Hank. Everyone has their own way of reacting so no need to complain about how Reed handles things.
Also keep in mind that these guys sell their footage. Missing a big storm causes a big loss of income. Thry have to get the film and get it up asap. They have a lot of competition now.
You gotta love Reed.
His crew: "GET IN THE CAR!"
"BASEBALLS!"
"BASEBALL-SIZE HAIL!!"

Then he throws the hail at the carful of guys who tried to help warn him.

I’ve always been obsessed with the El Reno tornado. It was a monster and Tim was all about safety and he still was killed by that tornado. One of a kind RIP
It is probably the most meteorologically fascinating tornado to date. So many things made this tornado unique from anything else in history.

@@Bowhoe09 I'm late to answer this... But their car got caught in a subvortex that was rotating around the main funnel and happened to stall and become almost stationary right over their vehicle before throwing half a mile away from the road. If I remember correctly, another storm chaser said when they found the vehicle the two front seats had been thrown back in the recline position as if the driver and passenger tried to protect them selves from debris. Tim and (I believe) his friend Carl Young were found in the vehicle, and Tim's son Paul had been thrown from the vehicle. I could be wrong but that's what one of the other chasers that was there for the storm that day had said.
It was a very sad day for the storm chasing community.

Reed: VIOLENT TORNADO
I mean it killed people, so yeah
I’m a native Floridian of 41 years and just recently this past year moved to Tennessee. Experienced my 1st tornado recently here. I can tell you, these guys are the life line for these people that are in the path of these monsters. Myself being in dozens of Hurricanes we had the luxury of days of warnings ahead of time, proper evacuations and preparations. Tornados are a whole other level of destruction!
As an Oklahoman who experienced these powerful tornado's we only have 10-15 minute warnings
Yall have it worse in Dixie. While not as powerful as Tornado Alley, yalls are usually rain wrapped, and if not, blocked by trees. At least in the plains, we can see the behemoth comin at us. Yall dont have a clean line of sight anywhere.
Tornadoes can actually much worse in the south from poor populations that are more easily impacted by “weaker” storms to them being less visible which can affect warning times bc storm spotters are very important in tornado warnings
Hurricanes are much more destructive than tornadoes, even the big EF5's. Really bad tornadoes can wipe out cities while really bad Hurricanes can wipe out states. And don't forget that hurricanes can produce up to EF4 tornadoes on top of the winds and storm surge. I get that tornadoes are scary, especially night time, rain wrapped ones but there's really no comparison in terms of destruction.
Reed says tornado on the ground every time he sees a cloud
You do realize that a tornado is "on the ground" way before kthe funnel reaches it
LOLOLOL
Vic Rattlehead because it’s forming a tornado
Every Day Nightcore in this case the main funnel didn’t reach the ground until about 5 minutes in. These guys were way closer than they realized

Reed: “TORNADO ON THE GROUD HEAD WEST!!!!!!!”
Seeing all of those cattle made me really sad, that tornado was right on top of them. Poor cows. :(
I also didn’t realise this was the tornado that killed some of these guys, but I’m also not surprised. This thing was a monster. I’m so sorry for anyone who was affected by it, I can’t imagine the loss you guys went through.
They would have been butchered anyway
@@mikexxxmilly they could have been dairy cows.
The moore tornado a week earlier killed up to 160 horses :( It absolutely destroyed several horse farms.
I love that he said his pets were like his children. I would drop everything to save my cats. This tornado was and is still people's worst nightmares.

I feel like I'm 90% of all of the Tornado Chasers videos that Reed posts views. LOL, I love storms and it's really funny cause I go back and watch them over and over again and still keep learning new bits and pieces of information that I didn't know or connected the dots before. Reed has taught me so much just through these videos and his live streams and I'm going to school for meteorology soon and I hope to meet up with him one day so he can teach me so much more. I just want to learn more man!
I love this show! Please start making it again!
Haaaa! What I really need to do is just forget about these videos, and then when I do remember I will have several to binge on like a tasty snack!
Lance Lee yes definitely!!!!!
I do local chasing, and the few tornados I’ve seen have absolutely blown my mind. The sheer size and power, and I’m only talking the smaller ones. I’m in Indiana sadly, but one day hope to chase the plains just to see these beautiful monsters
Stevie wow your brave! I love to watch storm chasers. But I am terrified of tornados. My plan is to desensitize myself before tornado season so I won’t freak out as much. So far it’s not working! I live in Illinois and we get our fair share of tornados. Hopefully we will get lucky and not get any where I actually live! Good luck on your chase!!!
JoAnn Hempen there is step by step plan:
1. Watch all Pecos Hank videos.
2. Learn about reading radar
3. Download the Radarscope app. ($10)
4. Learn about storm structure
(Optional step 4.1 NWS storm spotter training.)
5. Photograph a funnel cloud.
6. Magically get over a lifelong crippling phobia as it’s replaced by a newfound passion that has you checking the ticket prices for flights to Oklahoma and taking online meteorology classes.
I’m still on step 6....I think step 7 is flying to Oklahoma next April.

I remember that year I was only seven. The Moore tornado had come through not even two weeks ago, and then this. That was terrifying for seven year old me
I'm sure it was! I was 9 years old when my family experienced our first tornado. Ten years exactly later, we had our second.
I watched a lot of tornado videos now. This one ranks with the best. If anyone, and I guess Reed is as well, is familiar with Leigh Orff's videos about genesis and maintaining tornados, one must come to the conclusion he is on the very right way about how twisters work. Especially in this video you can see and compare it to his simulations. Just awesome!
