Would be nice to see more roof rack builds, especially on the pickups where they would extend all they way to the rear, adding some storage space. Of course understandable if you don't need one and don't want to waste time building one (or more!). But it would be cool to see a DIY rack for Tacoma or 4runner for example!

I'd recommend using a little piece of rubber, like from a inner tube on the roof with a tiny hole poked in them for sealing and not messing up the roof of the cab, and stop any squeaks

Ace hardware has those robber plugs with threads to be inserted through holes. When bolt is ran through the hole and tightened, it compresses the rubber for and becomes water tight. Just thought it would have been better that those nut serts in the roof. Got my entry for those wheels. It’s definitely for a good cause.

I remember when I got my cold cut saw...so much better. Good job on the rack, my only concern, which probably doesn't matter for a home work truck, is the whistle when driving at high speeds. When I had my jeep and put a LED on top, because of the small spaces between the roof and the light, that thing would whistle loud when on the highway, enough to make me take it off.

I’m wondering why did you decide to drill the roof for mounting ponts, when you have functional rain gutters that you can attach the rack to, this technic was used for ages to hold roof racks
It will surely won’t be as sturdy as ur setup, but u also won’t be putting heavy loads up there when you have a complete bed
