Awesome Shaak Ti Mod for Star Wars: Jedi Survivor! czcams.com/video/bzLlycTaZYs/video.html
At the end of the game you don't know what to do with yourself... but I just want to give Cal a hug. He's been through so much and the end doesn't exactly feel like a triumph. In some ways, Jedi Survivor pulled off an Empire Strikes Back.
â€â€â€
Exactly. Fallen Order was more like A New Hope. This more like ESB, specially with all that happens in the finals chapters.
â@@kilian3252and who maybe in a star wars jedi legacy we will have storyline of construction like return of the jedi
â@@solairefollower7086 what???
It very much does, he's beaten, he's humbled, he's betrayed. At the end it doesn't even feel like a victory, just a failure for everyone that he came out on top with, but failure isn't the end, and he continues the fight with what's left
And for that the game is amazing in just that alone
I really appreciate that abode was the final villain. The way the dark side began consuming him was a lot more relatable and realistic than other dark side villains. He just wanted to keep his daughter safe, but that fear led to him rejecting any real solution and would eventually lead to him losing her anyway.
They should have written a better idea for this ending.
really weird when you think about it how the leader of the bounty hunters in the beginning who you correctly predict to be part of your team secretly eventually becomes the final freaking boss of the game
He also got Cal's team killed as his ticket in. No one would think that's something that can be forgiven. He can't come clean even if we wanted to, which is pretty sad.
I couldnt help but feel something was off. Then it came right as I was thinking "huh, guess not?" Knew exactly what was happening when it happened.
Just like Anakin
If Kata is force sensitive. I hope they make her Cal's Padawan.
Like master, like apprentice. Master Tapal would be proud of Cal for training Kata to become a Jedi.
@@ericle5366 that's exactly why I'm hoping he trains her Hopefully he overcomes the darkside we've seen him embrace.
There might even be a chance that he will take greez advice and start a family with merrin
All but confirmed at this point given cere tells cal to do exactly that with "cal, guide her through the darkness."
Thereâs gotta be like a 90% chance of children of force sensitives being force sensitive. It was pretty rare for them to not be in Legends.
I did not see Bode's betrayal coming, maybe there were signs that i ignored cuz i loved the character so much, but damn this game was amazing
I expected a betrayal (not familiar with story/movie) I was really praying that Merrin not betray at the end , I was relieved that Bode did it instead .
@@miachelsanta7763 Thereâs no real reason for her to betray Cal. Merrin is a nightsister, AND an alien. All things the Empire hates; theyâre Xenophobic.
@@chinxyb877
Cal was also the one who made her realise what she values in life, her driving forces. You wouldnât betray the one who gave you such insight.
I expected it when he said he would do anything for Kata. He said it so sad I knew she was being held hostage in some way.
@@RestrictedTWO This was the only hint. He portrait the perfect friend: calling you brother, fighting along side you, even at Dagan. Not even in that moment he use any force skill. That man was so fucking focus on his mission that it feels even worse when it happend. Man I cant even start a NG+ know that this bastard is a fuckin Empire Agent.
I love how the game handles the theme of âobsessionâ and how it will make you lose yourself
Dagen lost himself to Tanalorr and lost his arm, his friends and became corrupted by it, thinking he was doing good.
Cal obsessing over the Empire, spending years fighting them and going nowhere, and refusing to stop because if he doesnât heâs failing his mentors, and he even loses himself to the dark side for a moment.
And Bode, obsessed with keeping Kata safe, and in trying to protect her, he betrays everyone, kills 2 Jedi masters, destroys centuries worth of ancient texts, gets an entire Empire base killed, and nearly kills Kata by being blinded by rage.
Games good đ
That is something I like about these games. They seem to confront themes that relate to the main characters as well as the antagonists, so it ends up being as much about confronting one's fears and weaknesses as it is about facing physical enemies.
Man, screw Bode, I'm really glad they gave us the satisfaction of him not completely changing his character and surrendering, so we could avenge Cordova and Cere.
I can't say I don't understand where he's coming from
â€â€â€
@@TheTalan That's the more reason i love this kinda story telling. Everyone has their own lives after all.
I swear he stole all of my kills when he was with me on the missions.
@@SavorySoySauce đ
I feel bad for Kata, her father nearly kills her three times in the span of ten minutes to âprotect herâ. When Merrin teleported to catch Kata after Bode made the bridge start to collapse, he aimed his blaster at both of them, man what a cock. Like i said, i feel bad for her but i imagine if Cal had heard those echoes before they held the funerals, I think he would have just dumped him in the fucking trash.
Cere and Cordovaâs fates both suck, but Cordova especially did not deserve to go out like that. When he said âSon, you donât need to do thisâ he didnât mean blast him, he was trying to tell him that whatever made him feel the need to do what he did to simply let them help him instead. Coward killed him in a cowardly way. That all being said they writers did a great job at making me loathe every ounce of his soul
Funerals are for the living. Whatever Bode was Kata still loved him and she deserved to say a proper goodbye to her daddy.
@@Jemini4228 i was a licensed funeral director for four years. Iâll grant you that one, though reverence for the dead is an important aspect of it to, and what could be more disrespectful than putting master cordova to rest next to the man who killed him in cold blood? it was almost Kataâs funeral a couple of times in the name of âprotectingâ her.
I understand for the kidâs sake, I was more so trying to create a mental picture displaying the person he really is, trash, and sheâll naturally see that years down the line
@@nathanmcandrew4778 I think both Cere and Cordova would understand. Cal is trying to reject the darkness by embracing forgiveness. In that way he is respecting their memory.
@@Jemini4228 thatâs a good point i didnât think of that
I got so sad seing the Saloon getting empty, after trying to get 100% on characters in the databank. This lovely little community that we built, with so many people everywhere, just get's empty again
I kid you not from the moment we met Bode I was very suspicious of him. I didn't trust him one bit, and he always came off as a bit off. Like he was hiding something. At every turn I expected him to turn on you, but occurrence after occurrence he didn't. The final time I expected him to turn is when we fought Gera as Bode claimed he would do anything for his daughter. However, after the Gera was completed and Bode didn't turn instantly, I came to the realization that I might have been wrong about him.
Needless to say when he finally revealed himself on Jedha. I was shocked,.
I 100% felt the EXACT same way. ALWAYS dud of him until that Gara fight. Damn they got us good and it was awesome!
Same
If you wanted to see what happens directly after you finish the main story. I talk to the other main characters, and find some interesting force echoes that add to the story, plus it describes exactly how NG+ works. You can still travel to the final planet, different from Jedi Fallen Order.
Can u make a full one I've been waiting for a full jedi survivor game movie
@@scottrahandain8380 Working on it brotha, will be out probably in 12 hours or so. We got the code a little late this time unfortunately, but it's on the way!
How did you keep that outfit?
It very depressing when npc vanished after few time of conversation in Pyloon's Saloon on post games when empire came in
Amazing video.
Are there any other post credit scenes besides the ones when you meet Caig and leave Tanalor? Like areas of maps that trigger a conversation, or am I dreamin'?
Honestly, after killing Dagan, Bode's dialogue is what gave the betrayal away to me early. The game is really well done, and even with the betrayal I'm still a fan of Bode's character
bodes betrayal yeah I saw coming pretty early. Now him being a fallen jedi, THAT surprised the hell out of me.
At least Merrin lived
I just realised Cal didn't throw away the lightsaber.
He buried Bode with it, placing it on his chest the same as he did with Dagan
â@@Dabomb2394 something I noticed, Bode was actually using Dagan's lightsaber instead of his own. You can see it when Cal grabs it post-battle.
@@jlord5078 correct, itâs confirmed by a force echo you can find in Dagans boss area after completing the game
I was really hoping Cal would of taken Bodes jetpack
I dont understand Bode's decision. I get wanting to protect your kid, but if he just told Cal what he was worried about from the beginning, they could've figured out a better way together
He embraced Fear and Anger. Because of that he became selfish, wallowing in his misery whilst protecting the only thing he had left, his Daughter. The only thing that meant anything to him was her, not even himself, but his care for her was basically his vision of it, not reality. In reality surrendering the compass and working together with Cal would have been the wiser decision for it is absolutely stupid for him to think he seriously could have taken care of his kid alone in the wilderness, in the middle of nowhere, with absolutely no friends or allies or contacts. But alas, his fear and grief consumed him, and it turned into anger rage and hate. Even his own daughter recognized that he basically died with his wife, not physically but spiritually.
Kata mentions her mother's death changed him. The culmination of all his fears after order 66 till his betrayal all came to be too much when they got the compass. He thought she would be safe, but then when they decided to use it for the path, that is when he decided to betray them most likely. Because he probably figured that the Empire would find him and Kata there because the path would move to and from it. In the end he let it consume him to a point where he was willing to hurt Kata(during the final battle)
@@chazkorkosz1032 It's so sad to see his demise, and although his actions are not justified, it's still sad to a degree (tbh him revealing to be a imperial spy and a jedi that survived order 66 was the biggest plot twist this game had to offer), he could've had an entire life with his daughter somewhere and still be a part of the mantis crew, sad to see he just had a terrible idea by putting his daughter on a completely desert planet with nothing to look out for. Bode's fall kinda mirrors Anakin's wish to save Padme, he was so focused in that desire, that the feelings of fear and loss combined with his tragic past, which made him grow hateful, was all culminating to his fall to the dark side and in an attempt to do the "good thing" he ends up doing the completely opposite.
I think it was the death of his wife, and fear that Kata will end up like her mother that caused bode to do these things.
He isolated and infiltrated Cal's team by calling the Inquisitor to kill all his new team. He didn't know Cal will find what he wanted the most: a way out/the compass at the time. He can't just come clean after that so he spiraled down.
So much DLC ideas but i doubt they'll do anything until the 3rd and final game.
Indeed...they have to fix everything about the FPS and Crashin' in all the platforms. I would like a DLC, thougt...not one with extra battles or something, but about more lore of Star Wars.
I agree there is a hint at the end in a dialogue with merrin she says one day she hopes too take on a star destroyer or something like that and above koboh at the end is a star destroyer.
9:30 Nice summary of the romance Kata lol
Kata is so adorable! Lol at her not getting the green thumb euphemism
Cal is like a better father to Kata. And a lovable husband to Merrin.
Cal and merrin's conversation on how to handle bode really shows that, they where willing to let go of it because they know what it's like to lose the people you love. It's really fucking sad bode couldn't do the same.
â€â€
I love the ginger man, his goth girlfriend, their adoptive daughter and pet old man
@@BiskitBoiMJ donât you EVER disrespect uncle Greez like that ever again
@@trollofduty007 greez nuts
I see why this game is referred to as survivor
I hope we can get to play Kata in the future or have Kata as Cal's Padawan to spice the Story since you know what happens to Bode.
I doubt they will do this in the next game but if they kill off merrin I will throw my controller across the room
Oh wow after the game I found an echo in the Nova Garon hangar bay of two purge troopers investigating the base after Calâs rampage and it seemed to indicate that Cal killed the ENTIRE garrison when he went berserk đź
Then there was the one where Cal realizes how much fear he caused. :(
Wonderful atmosphere
Bode didnât have to go down like the way things went. But, like all of us, we think only for whatâs best for our family. No matter the cost. I just hope heâs in peace now.
thats pure BS . He wanted to raise Kata alone in a planet without a single human being/ alien being , even after realizing Cal and others are completely trustworthy .
And what kind of "father" attacks his little girl with Force Push? Besides he did not have to murder Codrova to take the compass . Clearly he had become a monster .
@@miachelsanta7763 Exactly the right answer.
@@miachelsanta7763 yeah he killed a fellow Jedi in cold blood. Thatâd be like excusing Anakin for killing Jedi and younglings at the Jedi Temple to save Padme.
â€â€â€
â@@miachelsanta7763 you didn't pay attention did you? Even if Cal and comp were trustworthy, they were gonna share the secret of the planet with the others in the hidden path, making the planet less and less secure, and eventually putting his daughter at risk again. It was a matter of time before the empire managed to put a spy in the hidden path, Bode is the literal example of it
At first I thought this was an extension, and I thought for a sec I saw Kyle katarn
Bodes betrayal turned Cals force into the starkiller almost he never felt so betrayed since order 66.
Wish Bode just gave up. Its not like he and Kata can't live there. Just got to share it. They're not the only ones trying to hide from the empire.
I think it was more to do with the fact that they were going to repurposed it into a jedi temple. Kata is more then likely a force sensitive. Bode wants to run and protect his kid not turn her into another soldier that might very well die in what he sees as a pointless and losing war. That and we've seen Tanalorr isn't impenetrable, it's already been invaded. With the amount of trafic that'll go through that place now that they repurposed it, it'll only be a matter of time till the empire finds out about it. All of this might not happen but for me anyway it's understandable why he reacted that way. It's not justifiably by any stretch bringing the slaughter of another Order and killing two masters but i'd say it's believable from someone like him.
I figure, we will most likely get a small time jump to the final game, maybe a year? Figure in that time Cal finishes off the Haxion Brood business, returns to Jedha to check on anchorites, and uses the contact codes to help the path thus leading into the final jedi game
I'd want another 5 year jump tbh. Kata's training in full swing. A settlement established on Tanalorr. Greez is now making merchandise for his chain of Saloons XD
I expect the betrayal soon as I saw. His smile just annoyed me as I liked the voice actor for him but at the end i put the Micah moustache on cal and in my head when they were trying to give him a chance in my head it just went join us Charles, JOIN US!
If Another Jedi game comes out, Kata would be in her teens.
Naaah, really? What a brilliant summation!
Whats all about the star Destroyer at the end?
Amazing plot twist. During the early Jeddah missions, you could feel some kind of showdown/escape mission was on the cards for later, with the way the hidden path's base was laid out. And probably in the form of a betrayal. I spent a lot of the game thinking of who the potential traitor(s) could be, and probably thought of Bode at some point. But I was always more suspicious of the shady saloon characters such as Turgle, or even the Aussie bounty hunter. I agree with the original trilogy parallels - a spectacular first act, with victory against overwhelming odds, a sprawling and complex second act with a tragic conclusion, hopefully a triumphant finale awaits us in the next game.
Out of context the thumbnail looks like an imperial is about to kidnap Kata
They say âletâs see if the compass is still workingâ but nothing happens after that? Could somebody explain please???
Cool Katarn outfit
yesâ€â€â€
Any side quests after completion? Any accomplishments at all??
Bode is a great character, but donât you think the daughter might be pissed at call or scared of cal for killing her dad?
I think we might get Last of us 2 level stuff in the next game.
@@SmarmyCaribou4 don't... for the love of god don't put that curse on this franchise...
@@accursedatom236 I agree. I never wanted to see another scene like the one with Abby killing Joel.
My question is, did she actually see what happened? Obviously her father was killed but Iâm pretty sure was knocked out when it happened.
She could clearly see how far her father had fallen. She even showed she was ashamed of his behavior and actions before he died. She even begged him multiple times to stop what he was doing and see reason only to be repeated attacked and hurt by him. It would make zero sense for her to want to kill Cal for protecting himself, Merrin and HER from the madman she saw her father become. I hope they dont take that cheap "character arc" in the 3rd game if they make one. It would be lazy writing and an insult to those who love this story so much.
Brilliant đ
â€â€â€
Can you try and help me figure out what to do with the compass. I tried looking everywhere to see where to go to see if it âworksâ
Talk to Cordova? I'm confused what you're not understanding
I didnât have that option after finishing?
Theres another echo on jedha
Cal kestis killed a child, dad right in front of them and then took them proceeds to do it again in ng+
Kata understood that it had to be done. Bode was too far gone and he was given many chances to surrender.
Ye ik
That would be cool if Cal falls to the dark side the next game
Bode got what he deserved.
Can Kata forgive cal for killing her father? đ€
Kata saw how Cal tried to offer mercy and Bode didn't take it. Cal was left with no choice. I think she understood that she lost her father a long time ago when she talked about how her mother's death changed him.
Kata told her father to listen , and then her father attacked her nearly killed her by Force pushing the bridge . She had already accepted from before that the father she knew was changed completely after her mother died .
I kinda like the way things turned out becuase now we won't have any TLOU2 situation going on.
Bode had endangered and almost killed Kata 3 times in the fight (the 1st and 3rd of which were directly aimed at her, not even trying to attack Cal or Merrin).
From the start Kata seemed unsure and neutral, wanting them to just talk it out.
By the end she seemed fully on Cal's side of the conflict, just wanting Bode to stop.
I'm sure she was probably upset about her father dying, but ultimately during the fight Merrin had been the one to save her from danger her father had put her in (and her father's immediate reaction to that had been to point a blaster at Merrin). I think it makes sense for Kata to be relatively chill with Merrin and anyone Merrin associates herself with (even if that does include her father's killer, since she does seem to understand that Cal was justified in killing Bode).
Frankly Kata shows a frightning level of maturity for her age. it's only been 9 years since the purge, even if Bode met his wife immediately after the purge Kata would be 8-9 years old at most. Most adults wouldn't deal with this stuff as well as she seems to.
That kid has the most freaky stare i've ever seen. When you are standing right next to her, she looks at you like she is going to kill you
these 2 games have each had 1 character with a rather uncanny stare
Fallen Order had Cere and her freakishly large eyes bulging out of her head (no idea why, I've looked up the actress and her eyes look perfectly normal)
Survivor managed to fix Cere's eyes but has this dead-eyed blank stare kid
@@Eclipsed_Embers Absolutely true! Couldn't agree more
I was hoping for more words to explore, like we could go back to Dathomir and fight Darth Maul or if Taron Malicos would still be alive and maybe teaming up with Maul!!! And even travel to Daiyu to help "The Path" and Obi-Wan!!! Just to get the crew's perspective during the events of "The Obi-Wan Kenobi series!!!"
Ainât that kind of game
Maul is kinda on a level above Cal and the others
he's not quite Vader level but it's still very much the case that if Cal fights Maul Cal is dead
When Bode revealed himself to be a spy, I was so pissed I yelled "fck you, movie." All the villains in this game are flat and boring. They all want the exact same thing for the exact same reason
How can you play this game it has crashing and freezing I canât even play this new game itâs been compared To cyberpunk 2077
Those issues are only on pc. If they are using a console it's fine
Had no issues on PS5 for me, was some lag though, but no crashing
a few framedrops here and there and a few freezes is not cyberpunk. did you play that stuff at launch?
Love some part of this story in this game. The ending betrayal twist was great. I wish there was a more Sinister brutal main villian in this one that carry throught CAL arc pulling the strings more other than Dar Vather cause we all know Luke kills Vather.
I hope the next game has more pulish storyline and doesn't go REY SKYWALKER on us with KATA. Cuase MAMA KK still around with WOKE STAR WARS.
Wait⊠did Cal and Merrin break up?
Nah, I think it's more along the lines of your typical couple stuff that happens when a kid enters the picture. I also highly doubt respawn would go through all the effort that they put into the relationship, just to break them up via random voice line most people wouldn't find anyway.
Nah definitely not, but the lines of dialogue are weird considering they very clearly seem together in the cutscenes
âWe will figure it out togetherâ seems like theyâll be fine
I'm interpreting the dialogue as more of a "we can't be friends anymore, but does that mean we should be a couple?". This happens a lot in entertainment when you have a pair of characters that are close to one another, then after a spontaneous kiss (or they get drunk one time and have sex), either one or both parties start to question what's to become of their relationship afterwards.
@@deadpoolrockz6410 wait, this puts the "I know what I want" scene in a whole new light! All the characters where drinking! I guess cal suffered from a case of "a drunk soul speaks a sober heart". That's so cute!
Bode was a boring villain overall . Hope the third game is better because survivor felt like a downgrade
Embracing the man that killed your father, regardless of the circumstances is kinda weird.
You've clearly never been abused by your father. I'd worship the person who killed mine if it had happened.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change your thumbnails for spoiler protection
I donât want to fear scrolling through CZcams just to see something I donât want to see
Kata shouldâve died. Itâs her fault. And sheâs in the way of Calâs and Merrinâs son!!!
