I usually go all out in the editing department and try not to show just footage, but I must say there isn't a whole lot I can do with a game that never moves its camera. So the editing might feel a bit more stale than usual. Other than that, I hope you enjoy this nostalgic lookback!

honestly, the minimalistic editing fit this minimalistic game very well so i think the lack of editing adds to the feel of the video

It's funny because I'm pretty sure Nintendo realized if they DIDNT put tanks as the last game, no one would've bothered unlocking any of the other mini games
Evidently, the implication here is meant to be that people would get stuck on playing "Tanks!" instead of trying the rest of the minigames. But you didn't say that nobody would've bothered to play the other minigames; you said that nobody would have bothered to unlock the other minigames, as in to play the previous minigame. So funnily enough, this comment actually appears to be a subtle diss, stating that "Tanks!" is apparently so unbearable that nobody would've bothered to even finish a round to unlock the next minigame.

Actually if you played again and went to mission 50 it would've been the same. After mission 20, mission 50 and 100 are the only ones not randomly generated.
Actually, every multiple of 10 is all the same too.
For example mission 90 is always 8 grey tanks on the same map as mission 4.

I'm pretty sure the camera angle and the lack of see thru ability was more of a deliberate choice than a lack of foresight. It made the yellow tanks and mines that tad bit more dangerous with their relationship to the stage design, and made them a priority target to regain control of the level.
I like the Scott the Woz part at the beginning. Nice.
Sometimes I want to go back and play this again. And I feel like the billiards one is underrated.
On roblox there is a game called tiny tanks with a progression system and way more advanced stuff without being too advanced or hard to understand only complaint is its slightly pay to win
Billards one is aight but my favorite was air hockey/glow hockey lol
@@rikustorm13 Billiards and Glow Hockey were both pretty good, but the controls often didn't read properly for a lot of people which kinda ruined the experience

When I was growing up, my cousins and I would play a special “co-op” version of this game. One player would control the nunchuck to drive the tank and the other would aim the gun

I kinda wish Tanks had a new game+, or was adapted to its own game entirely. Maybe new weapons, more enemy types, more obstacles, etc
It does, it has and additional 100 levels after you beat the first 20 and go back into the game after going back to the menu, level 50 introduces the black tank
@@Radiosilenced I wouldn’t really call that a new game+ more like the first 20 levels are the tutorial and the rest is the full game

it's basically the same thing, but with more stuff, extra weapons for the player tank, and local multiplayer
sure the graphics are blender 1.0 level at best, but minecraft proved that good graphics aren't needed, and it's pretty good ngl

Because it’s not a recorded song, it’s live virtual instruments that change based on what tanks are on the screen. There’s a lot of possible permutations which is super cool

My family has a wii, and I remember as a kid going round to my dad's house to play wii tanks. We'd all take turns, but none of us managed to get to level 20. This has given me refound confidence to go complete it! ...if I could remember where the wii and disc was.

Wii play was one of the only games I reliably played on the Wii, as I never got resort or fit
Dude, if you need a nunchuck, I got like: *checks stock again* 10 of them (no joke, I've acquired these from basements and wii lots).
Sorry to break it too you but there are 100 wii tanks levels only playable after you beat the first 20 but there not that well designed because they are all random apart from the last few which introduce black tanks a faster moving and faster moving version of the teal ones
Levels 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 aren't random. And black tanks appear at stage 50.
But yes, the first 20 are much harder than the rest.
And this was the game that inspired me to make my own videos!

Gonna be honest, wii play was my 3rd most played game on the wii. Only beaten by wii sports resort and Skyward sword. Don't ask about the Skyward sword one, I'm a big Zelda geek and loved the hell out of that game.
