  • Culebra Peak is the southern most 14er in Colorado, and somewhat difficult to bag as you need to get a permit in December for $150. This peak is located in southern Colorado east of the towns of San Luis and Chama. Red Mountain, over 13,900', is close by and easy to bag as well on the same ridge.

I'm sure they really appreciated having someone to talk to on the descent, considering they're grinding through 58 14ers in less than 10 days. This is the first time I've ever seen them in action, and it's kind of fascinating to watch their hiking style - despite being in absolute peak physical condition, they're not running, they're pacing and walking with ample use of poles the whole way down. Really gives me some insight into my own technique. Another great vid!

Was that Andrew Hamilton? He already holds the 14er FKT of 9 days and 21hrs. Guess he’s trying to improve it. The guy is a super human
