- The entire Nintendo Switch moves list for Dragon Ball FighterZ. The list is fully shown at the beginning and end of the video with demonstrations in between. These are the moves that applies to all fighters in the game, there are many more character specific moves that are not shown.

What is the quarter circle forward/back thing mean?
That is where you rotate the thumbstick a quarter way around (starting from the down position).
If you can think of the joystick like a clock, you start at 6 o’clock and rotate to 9 or to 3.
Back and forward depends on the direction you are facing. All moves are written assuming you are facing to the right. Everything is reverse when your character is facing left.

For anyone trying to use simple controls heres all the commands:
Superdash is R
DragonRush is L
Level 1 is ZR+ZL+Y
Level 3 is ZR+ZL+A
Specials are R+ any button
Sparking is L+R+B
The basic combos are still the same tho

Did the teacher announce it
A quick thing to note as well, sparking blast also allows you to jump or air-dash cancel any moves
An air dash, or on the ground, a dash, is preformed by pressing forward or back twice in a short time frame
Jump canceling is in the name, allowing a move to be canceled into a jump after it hits, however this does not work for most heavy or special attacks
Sparking blast allows this, with moves like standing heavy now being able to be jumped after, allowing even more creativity and damage in combos
I felt this was just good to note for those coming into the game, its always nice to see new players, and if anyone needs someone to play with or teach them, I can try to help!

I'm fighting saibamens and they're fighting like they're gods. They don't want to give me a break and they go all out. It's especially annoying when they heal themselves with that red spark and I don't even know how to do it.

I still can’t do a special I move my joystick down and half circle back and pressing r/Zr but my character still doesn’t do a special. Can anyone help?
I assume you mean quarter circle back. You can also try with the d-pad by quickly pressing down and then back.

For the special do I use any attack button EXCEPT B because if I use b then it will do a quick super. am I right?

You can use either the control stick or the d-pad for directional inputs. Find whichever one is easiest for you and use that. Then practice.
What do you mean "hold back"?
He means walk backwards. Like push the analog stick back

Only left I could my ultimate of the right and left but not the right
Try using the d-pad. It’s more precise, maybe that could work better for you.
And remember the “back” or “forward” direction depends on the direction the character is facing.

On special moves
I don’t have a cross in my guide. If you are looking at another guide that is based on the PlayStation controls then that would have a “cross” button (which looks like a X). If that is the case then the same button on Switch would be B.
What does r +rz mean and Lz
Rz is right trigger. Lz is left trigger. R is right bumper. L is left bumper.
