  • This essential first-timer's guide to DisneySea Tokyo with kids covers 21 must-know tips before you go, as well as the easiest place to buy Tokyo DisneySea tickets with a discount.
    Although this Japanese theme park is a completely different experience to Disneyland Tokyo, it still is very kid-friendly. Our 2 and 4-year old could go on most of the rides, save for some of the more extreme ones, which only made up about 5 of 20-something rides the park is home to.
    → DISNEYLAND TOKYO GUIDE: • Tokyo Disneyland For S...
    The most important tip you should get out of this video is to use your Tokyo DisneySea Fast Passes effectively. We show you exactly how in the video and how to maximise on them so you won't be standing in queue for some of the most popular DisneySea rides for hours on end.
    At DisneySea Tokyo, some of the most popular rides include Toy Story Mania!, Journey to the Centre of the Earth and the Tower of Terror. So, be sure to snag Fast Passes for those.
    Since all of our family-friendly guides cover Tokyo with kids, we show theme parks in Japan from a kid-friendly perspective. Although many people will tell you that DisneySea is better for older kids and adults, we beg to differ. It still is completely small kid-friendly, particularly the rides. The only difference between DisneySea and Disneyland is that the latter will have more characters and themes that small kids will recognise.
    That being said, this has been our absolutely favourite theme park out of all of the ones we visited on our Japan family holiday.

    Hi! Loved your vids for when we went to Japan in May. We spent 4 nights at Disney, staying half at the resort opposite Disneyland and half at the Miracosta. Disney Sea is amazing. I have some additional tips that might help some parents / kids out so I’ll put them here:
    1) agree with you about riding as much as you can in the morning and getting fast passes, although when we went in May the line for the Toy Story Mania fastpass was an hour long!
    2) for the afternoon, when the “big” rides get super busy - the absolute best place for kids there is the Mermaid section. There aren’t many adults, it’s mainly families and the rides are all 100% kid friendly.
    3) whilst one parent takes care of the kids, the other should RUN and go to Single Rider lines! Then run back and SWAP! That way parents get to have some fun and you literally walk on to a couple of massive rides (Indiana Jones and Raging Spirits) that have huge waits.
    4) buy the popcorn. It’s totally worth it. We stuffed our popcorn container with socks and packed it to bring it home and now our son uses it all the time!

      Thank you SO much for watching our videos.. and wow, spending 4 nights at Disney would be a dream! Thanks heaps for the additional tips. I didn't even know that they had single rider lines, so that's an awesome tip! We did this at Universal Osaka and I pretty much walked straight into the rides while others had to wait an hour. OMG the popcorn! There was this garlic shrimp one we wanted to try but didn't end up getting cos the queue was too long. What flavours did you try?

    • @pip0la51
      @pip0la51 Před 4 lety +1

      We got the Caramel flavour, which was delicious. And weirdly, smells EXACTLY like a Glasshouse candle so whenever we light that it reminds us of our trip!
      Given we had the time and were staying on property, we also tag teamed at night after the parades - one of bedtime duty and the other running around getting on as many rides as possible. It was epic. But bloody expensive so we know it’s not for everyone!

    Such a great and detailed guide as always! Wow those queues are insane, 55 minutes! Definitely worth getting the fast pass. I agree, the whole park and theming looks so different from any other Disney park I've seen! Gotta love those convenience store snacks too. Haha the competitiveness on the Toy Story ride was real. The night time shows look so trippy!

    • @HangryByNature
      @HangryByNature  Před 4 lety

      Haha 55 minutes at the time seemed short given that some lines had 90-minute waits. It's pretty nuts! Convenience stores in Japan are the BEST!

      At least at Disneyland and DisneySea in Tokyo the Fast Passes are free.. you just get allocated time slots, but it works well if you use it right. Oh, awesome! I've heard amazing things about Disney Shanghai! Apparently, the Tron ride is insane! Hahah.. oh, trust me, we are exhausted 24/7 but I think we're just used to it now after having kids.

      Everything is spoken in Japanese. I can't remember if it was USJ or Disney but any attractions with screens as part of it does have english subs. But in terms of enjoying the experience or rides, you will still have a good time without knowing Japanese.

    What time of year did you go? Do they have parent swap like Disney World?

    • @HangryByNature
      @HangryByNature  Před 4 lety

      They do! But only on 4 rides from what I've read, which are the more thrillsy ones that small kids can't go on. Are you guys planning on going there? If you manage the Fast Passes right, it works really well!

    • @HangryByNature
      @HangryByNature  Před 4 lety

      I don't think they'd confiscate your meal if you have allergies and explain it to them. They're generally pretty lenient on bringing food into the park compared to other theme parks.

    Maybe don't stand in front of the fast pass kiosk and explain how it works and hold up the giant queue behind you! Do a voice over later on.
