Yes, my good sir/madam, you, out of the nearly ~8800 views this short got, you were the only one who heard an obnoxiously loud "Oh yeah" from Vector, while in absence of other sounds, on a channel literally named "VectorVerses", the stars aligned to provide this possibility to you and only to you
It would be so much more difficult to build a boat like that, than one with a flat bottom. Additionally I don’t think they were given enough materials. Also the stability is produced by the boat being deeper, not by it being angled. The angle is for aqua dynamics. I think you don’t know how a boat works lol, and you really think that you know so much more than engineering students.
I just need alot of duck tape and the carboard. When i was younger, my brother and i made a boat that actually floated and it didn't even leak, it was made from ALOT of ducktape and cardboard.
Don't overthink things, always think logical and easiest way is maybe the best solution. This is basically the most problems with people with high degrees, always make it more difficult than it really is
Why would they not fill garbage bags with air seal it off and use it as a flotation device.
Because children are very very stupid
Garbage bags can pop
The challenge is to build a cardboard canoe. The plastic is to keep it waterproof not to make a vessel out of it.
@@Jon-iv6ghthen its not a cardboard canoe. Its a cardboard and plastic canoe, seems fair to use my materials as i see fit?
It sounds like it'll be against the rules, but also, it's supposed to have a 1 hour build limit
Was I the only one who heard VECTOR 😂

Do they not understand why a boat is not flat under the water?
Some are, they are called flat bottom boats
Lol, you can't make a very good boat in 1 hour.
@@jacobporter6558 speaking for yourself.

we did this on highschool, only duct tape and cardboard allowed. tons of fun
"Would you wanna compete-"
"OHHHHH YEAH"
The life jacket is hilarious.

This was a fun experiment in high school!
I made a cardboard boat that lasted for three weeks on my cousins pond.
Maybe your an engineer and don't know it yet 😂
This is why engineers make minimum wage now

I'm 70 and not a good swimmer, definitely not for me!
Someone said these are the first year students... it does look like they're having fun! 😄
Cred: @rusoeambassadors
This looks like a ton of fun!
Bad engineering design. A square box design is the best option. Force is equalized on the four sides to keep it from folding.
Red bull boating 😂
the trick is center of gravity. They need to weight it down
So you’re telling us that the future will be fraught with terrible engineers?😮
One of them did great so its not all terrible.
Just make a teardrop and and open the trash bag put the teardrop cardboard shape inside of it and go
of course the tried and true cardboard box won
We never did this in the uk that looks like a lot off fun awesome.
are we allowed to wrap the whole cardboard structure with ducktape?
I would inflate the trash bags 2 on both sides and a streamline body
The kids of Marysville, Ca do this as part of the 4th of July celepration. I have never see shuch heart as demonstrated by the contestants.
I'd love this challenge.
I've swam there its 17 feet deep 💀
I went to Rutgers for college and never heard of it
None of them made it nearly big enough surface area that outweighs the weight of the water is what you need
Seriously... No one made ballasts with the bags...
They need a keel
They had an hour.
And ofcourse the to smallest lghtest kids were floating
Omg the Rutgers pool is so cold. I went for a swim meet and it was freezing. I remember seeing them setting up for this
They shouldve used flex seal! This stuff seal a boat wirh a screen door bottom so well it can still float!
Obviously I'm joking.
Are they made to wear the life vest when swimming
If this game can use anything i will join
SIU Carbondale, IL has a cardboard regatta. So fun
How to Say You Feed Kids Stupidity without Saying that you do - -"
I did this at summercamp and some1 called me a r!taRd
Anyone else watch the odd1sout’s video of this? Forever ago
I've done this with just cardboard and duct tape. As long as you use enough tape it's an excellent boat. These students r noobs.
Easy prey 😢
It Is New Jersey.😮
So sad ... graduates? Noone rolled up anything
Cannoli
Surprise! The team composed of two 85 lb girls floated best, but the ones with chunky boys didn't. Someone needs to explain engineering better.
Fun
I mean if you know your going to get said material why not you know get creative as engineers
🤣😂😁🤭
Lmfao
Put water in the bag cardboard on top a few different ways to do it
