I survive by knowing 99.9% of cars use one of the other and when it has both that theyre part of the ignition switch jackass.
@@Isaiah21lbRight, and when installed properly you dont have to turn a key. It uses near field communication like your fucking debit card to detect a registered ID and allows it to start with a button. Fall back ignition switches on push to start systems arent on the fucking steering column, theyre in the glove box. Having to turn the key on the steering column then push a button defeats the purpose of it. No mfg has the key system on the column when it is designated as a push to start. Like wise, turn key ignitions rarely have push to start but, when they do itnis part of the same ignituon switch.
Turn key ignitions also use NFC so that you can just turn the switch rather than put the key in. Mostly seen this on Mazda's. Others they are all in one, if they are notbit is a hidden switch that bypasses the NFC communication by using a physical sock simewhere in the cab.
