    LOL....."by that time I had already bought quite a bit of skincare" !!!! It is my weakness when I travel outside the US. Um, no maybe it's an obsession. Yes that's it. Let's see what can I get, that I can't get in the US and carry it all back and stuff some in my husbands bag as well LOL!!! There are loads of other things we could have addictions to! Yay skincare and glowy hydrated skin! Thanks for the reviews. I am enjoying several things from Korres I picked up in Athens in Mar!

    I never hear anyone talking about the lrp wet skin gel and im so glad you did!! I love this sunblock - i never burn or tan whilst wearing this. But it is very prone to pilling if you rub too much and when you reapply on face - not so much body. But the protection is still so high so i love it. It does look greasy but idc too much as the protection is so good!

    Kelly, I am Greek and I never gave a chance to KORRES and I am so glad I did. I tried the Korres Hydra Biome Probiotic Superdose Face Mask 100ml and OMG... I can confidently say that it is one of the best products I have ever used and it is even better than many Korean wash off masks.. Thank you for that! The only thing that I want to say is that I found the big jar with only 15euros so I was surprised when you said that it was 50ish in the airport!

    **skincare 3 times per day**
    Due to my work I have anywhere between 2-5 hours between waking up and when I have to take a shower, do skincare etc and get ready for work.
    During the summer my skin did not mind the gap, but now that its getting colder I do wake up with more thirsty,dry skin.
    Do you have any reccomendations on what do apply in the morning just for few hours before my shower and main "morning routine" . First, skincare is expensive, so I dont want to "waste" something I have to wash off in few hours, but I am also worried about over hydrating and moisturising my skin.

    I’m so excited to try the BoJ eye cream! I’ve been thinking about incorporating Vitamin A around the eyes, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet, and now I’m inspired. Out of curiosity, did you apply it over another eye cream first to cut down on any irritation or just go for it? ❤️

    • @kendallstark4302
      @kendallstark4302 Před 2 lety +1

      Are you on a prescription retinoid? I was cautious too, so I started slowly, just once a week. Now I can apply it three times per week and I have had zero irritation! I'd recommend it, just pay close attention to how your skin reacts 💖

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  Před 2 lety +2

      Kendall's got the good advice here, go slow and pay very close attention to how you eye area responds. Since that area can be very sensitive you want to work your way up slowly to avoid irritation. I didn't use another eye cream but you absolutely can do this or just use a little moisturizer first then the retinal eye cream to get yourself adjusted.

    • @ashegar
      @ashegar Před 2 lety

      @@kendallstark4302 I’m using the very gentle Stratia Night Shift cream on my face (not eyes), neck, and hands (currently, building up slowly to using every night, because I started too fast, too soon, with actives in my skincare journey, and have been learning how to incorporate things slowly and really listen to my skin about how much is enough for me). I’ve thought about applying the Stratia around my eyes, but have thought that something specifically formulated for the eyes may be a better idea.

    • @kendallstark4302
      @kendallstark4302 Před 2 lety +1

      @@ashegar it sounds like you have the right idea, going slowly. As Kelly said, you can put a bit of moisturizer on first, then apply your retinal, so it won't be absorbed so much and to avoid irritation. You can also put another layer of moisturizer on top just to be safe. That's what I did in the beginning, but now I've built up enough tolerance and can use tretinoin directly on my skin, and then apply moisturizer. Good luck!

      I recently bought the Isntree TW Real Bifida Ampoule (assuming this is the one you mentioned) for the first time, actually I bought 2 bottles and a tube of the eye cream. I am LOVING the ampoule! The ingredients are amazing, fermented ingredients and probiotics help my skin so much.
      I am halfway through the first bottle and the consistency is really nice, it’s hydrating and I’ve noticed my skin is brighter and more even toned. It’s more like an overall brightness, like a glow from within. No change in sun spots but it has lightened some PIH spots I had.
      What makes me really excited, is I have noticed that my skin is firmer! It is noticeably plumper and I can feel how firm it is with my fingers. I have never found a product that has made my skin feel this way! I am assuming it is the peptides in it, and all of the other awesome ingredients working together to make magic?! Because I’ve used other peptide serums and/or bifida/fermented serums separately but haven’t had results like this.
      I can’t wait to see how my skin is after I finish both bottles! Though I don’t plan on being without this in my routine ever again, I really love it! That said I do want to try the Rovectin forever young one too!

      @@heathersargent289 you're welcome! I'm obsessed with those two ingredients too! Once I figured out most first essences contain tons of galactomyces, I've been trying a lot of them! I can't afford the SKII tho I'd love to try it, but so far I really like the Scinic First Treatment Essence and the Benton Fermentation Essence. I tried the Secret Key Rose first essence and I liked it but the other two have more ingredients I like! Especially the Benton one, you should check that one out too, if you havent already. It has all the bifidas, galactomyces, tons of ferments and some peptides... It's really good! I have perioral dermatitis, and once I started using fermented ingd, galactomyces, bifidas and probiotics (the Benton essence was my first) my dermatitis went away w/in a week & a half, and hasn't returned in almost 2 years now! 😁 And I suffered with it for years off and on, when the seasons changed or I had allergies! So I will forever have those ingd in my routine! 💜

    I’ve heard that retinal or retinaldehyde is supposed to be gentler on the skin compared to retinols because it only requires one step to be converted to retinoid acid. What are your thoughts?

    • @cynthialopez2084
      @cynthialopez2084 Před 2 lety +2

      Since Retinals and retinaldehyde are more potent, they may be more irritating for those first starting retinoids or those with sensitive skin. They always say start with a retinol product first then work your way up to retinal to avoid irritation.

    • @senator5472
      @senator5472 Před 2 lety +2

      Nope, the lesser the conversion required - the more potent the retinoid is. Tretinoin requires the least amount of conversion and is (one of) the strongest & harshest option.
