Honestly best case scenario would be to run it back with another playmaker and wing from the draft and actually be healthy in May. Thing is watching the finals now i have ZERO doubts this current Knicks team definitely is good enough to win it all. Heck with just a healthy OG we likely would've beat Boston. I REALLY need Mitch to stay healthy if he stays lol
Would love to run it back with this roster. Had we been anywhere near resembling healthy we definitely make the ECF and who knows maybe we go further.
Team was never beating boston at full strength or not, there still a piece away regardless

@waffles5433 no way, Boston is just too deep, I agree knicks would have definitely put up s better fight then the pacers did, but too many knicks fans are taking too much from that run they had in January, as impressive as it was, playing those same teams in the playoffs would be a totally different story, you can't take too much from regular season wins

Dude, I hate to say it, but iHart would do very well starting at the 5 alongside Chet.
His passing, rebounding and unselfishness would fit in perfectly with that team.
It makes me cringe thinking that we could lose Isaiah, but we have to be ready for it. I hope I’m wrong.
He’s not a backup center bro. He is a backup in Denver, Phi, etc. there are not 30 better centers. We need to trade Mitch. We don’t want to pay 31 mil for the center spot (17 mil for IHart and 14 mil for Mitch). 31 mil is too much for those two guys. Mitch is overpaid.

I was saying in the case of Hartenstein going to the Thunder he would be a backup, therefore, the Thunder would be paying 20+ million for a backup
Thunder don’t really spend money. I would think they would prefer to trade for Mitch and give up some picks from their bag. They’re not overspending for IHart.
IHart isn't a back up. With Mitch, you can assume he'll miss a chunk of each season meaning IHart is our starter. I like him and his engine. I hope we can keep him the Early Bird rights could hinder that but interest is said to be limited. I hate to say it but if it means keeping the Knicks off the 2nd apron, maybe we consider trying to trade Mitch.
Why can’t Chet play the 4 and move Williams to a wing? Guys like Lauri and Towns play the 4 at over 7ft because they don’t rebound good enough. As long as they space the floor well I don’t see why it’s a big deal

labeling Hartenstein as a "backup Center" is crazy. The man was third in the NBA in EPM for Centers behind only Embiid and Jokic. If OKC sign Hartenstein it would be as a starter and they would move Chet to the 4. And Chet can 100% play for 4 in the NBA.
He would be a backup center for the Thunder - They seem to like Chet at the 5
Man hartenstien is pure back up, he cannot carry the team consistently. Every 3 to 5 games he does something. He's softtttttttt.
@@delaliy545he has poor endurance and that's fair for a dude who's 7 feet tall, he needs a solid back up that can reduce his minutes per game overall
Stein isn’t a great rebounder if that’s what Thunder are looking for.
We have heard insiders say everything for the Knicks sitting pat and running it back with last year’s roster(healthy) to them making a massive trade for a mega star leaving the roster looking completely different.
It all makes sense, it’s still the finals and options are open.
Just run it back with our core!

Not Deuce. He stays. Losing Quickley hurt us more than we thought. Deuce came in and went crazy a few times in the playoffs. We don't beat Philly without him. I'd give up Mitch before him bc Mitch can't stay healthy
