Keisha (she/her) and Andrew (he/him) have a baby! During their seventh round on {THE AND} the couple talks about their new day to day dynamics with their 4 month baby girl. They discuss the different challenges of parenthood and their wishes for their newly grown family, how love grows in ways you didn’t think were possible, their immense and continuously expanding love for each other and how their baby has changed their relationship for the better.

I have 2 grown daughters. Keisha got it right. They are not mine. I am theirs. I will always be theirs. My mom recently died. Before she did, my mom and daughter got into an argument about the way my daughter was talking to me. Mom said, "She may be your mother, but she is my baby." I almost melted. That's what parenting is all about. She will always be your baby.

As a new mom to a little girl this hit me right in the deepest part of my heart. I had been struggling with the idea of her not “loving me back yet” - it’s not about this! I am hers. I am here to love her and give myself to her for the rest of my life!

I can't tell you how glad I am to see Keisha and Andrew's dream come true - they've been talking about it the whole time we've been seeing them on The And, and to see them glowing and blissed out about their life together is so healing. I am a pediatrician and have such a good feeling about this family with their humor, their great communication skills, the great foundation Keisha and Andrew have as a couple. The love for each other and their daughter shows so much in their eyes.

I'm probably very close in age to Keisha and Andrew but when they talked about what they wanted their daughter to take away from this conversation, it felt like the love letter I've always wanted to receive from my parents. Ugh the part about missing your kid but you also have your work and life you have to live...I'm not a mother yet but men and women (who have had kids) in my life say my life will inevitably be all about my (future) kid - it makes me feel like i'm going to lose my interests/ hobbies, time for myself basically. And yet i stubbornly believe that i will to be able live my life and still balance it with taking care of my child. I hope i'm not the only one feeling this way.

They always seemed to have a forever love but now as they talk about her, it comes across more viscerally. Maybe that is what we mean when we say "love at first sight." It seems that baby was a part of them before they knew her. They seem both brand new and the most themselves. New parents always articulate this sense of not knowing, but I find them to be unusually prepared for this/primed for her/available for each other and the process. I don't know that feeling of home he mentioned when she asked about their love, but witnessing it makes me so hopeful.
