- Its Friday and I have a fair day for a Friday. I want to make it back to the yard to make my Saturday easier and shorter but all doesn't go to plan. watch to see how I deal with it and if I have been quite lucky on this occasion

Best thing I ever did was take a Shunting Job, Set hours no traffic no sleeping in a tin box no queuing no watching every minute slip away on a tacho, You all deserve a Medal for putting up with this as a daily grind.
The difference with long distance today and when my Dad and later my brother, mid 40s and my brother 50s, where driving all over the country making deliveries. My brother had a Fordson van with no heating, during winter he had to wear ex RAF flying boots and a leather Flying jacket. That was before the motorways were built.

Hino are such a great truck...they were very popular with muckshifters, but Toyota decided to cease sales in Europe (blaming the rising Yen value & making them not profitable to sell...) of both their subsidiaries Hino trucks & Daihatsu cars....sadly.
& recently there has been some major troubles with the importation to the EU & USA of Hino-engined excavators & their possible not-so-accurate diesel emissions certification....a real headache for many dealers.
