aww i wish mao is always like this! i know she skates for her love towards the sport rather than winning, that's why she keeps challenging herself and her programs keep getting more difficult each season but it hurts me to see her losing and not skating as well as she can ):
absolutely gorgeous wow i mean this is the type of program she should be doing. I love different types of skating but this is like a classic just beautiful it had a lot of emotion w/o the face just the body language and the energy
I love Mao's program here. She needs to focus on getting back some of her jumps (a 3-3 combo) and using softer music for this season, because I really hate it when Yuna fans say "Mao only won because Yuna made mistakes." If Mao can skate another program like this, she'll beat Yuna, even when she doesn't make mistakes.
People have said that its her new coach that she got right after this competition that's caused her to literally slump over the following international competitions. If she uses routines like these she could EASILY beat yuna and win the gold. Her current fs seems gloomy and this type of routine really suites her. And this was the year she won. But I still love her, and I still believe she will win the gold
Mao should have done this 3-3 combo (Triple Flip-Triple Loop), along with her Triple Axel at the Olympics and then we would have seen if Yuna would have won the short or maybe even the gold medal for that matter. Go Mao! You can win worlds again this year with a few adjustments.
@iimissdramaticii well I don't think soo I think when mao get's her 3-3 combo with her tripple axel and beautiful extended spiral and spins, not to mention her hard and fast step sequences she is going to be unbeatable, not to mention when her chorography is going to be made by TAT and Lori in the next season, I will only tell you this there is something to look forward to in the next season...

This is a great performance but she still looks like she's working, trying. She doesn't have that effortless fluidity that Yuna does. Go ahead and thumbs down my comment for speaking the truth. They are both incredible performers.

If you were confident in liking Yuna more you would have no need to make such a provocative and contradictory comment. It betrays your insecurity and need to tear down Mao to build up Yuna technique which is the inconsiderate trademark of many Yuna Kim fans who comment on Mao's videos. Professional dance instructors on NPR radio have made programs about how Mao has superior dancing , artistry and ballet qualities like extension and flexibility compared to Yuna.
It's so beautiful and stunning that I wanna cry. Figure skating as art has lost so much since Mao finished her career.
