Thank you for explaining Ledgestone here. I've wondered about this for a while. (I'm not really a Discraft guy except for a few Zones 😂)
I wish they offered TI FLX zones on a stock run. So grippy and really durable in the two zones I have with it.
Yes, my TI FLX Zone is fantastic, durable, grip, and less dumpy
I love the scortch. Similar hand feel to heat but it has crazy glide for an 11 spd
💯! I've got the ledgestone mechagodzilla Ti scorch and it amazing. Thrown flat its the perfect glidey flex shot. 👌
I love this channel. Showing some love from SW Ohio!!!
Nice work! I'd like to see a Dynamic Discs plastics. I don't buy from them because there are sooooo many plastics
Agreed. I'd like to see trilogy plastic tested. Specifically, I'd like to see pure tested. It comes in so many different plastics, and in some plastics, it seems like it has a little more stability in some low speed fade but in others I get a reliable flip up and a right finish.
It starts with the big three plastic variations and branches off from there with some exceptions.
Fusion (Orbit, X, Bio)
Lucid (Orbit, X, Ice, Fluid)
Classic (Blend, Super Soft, Soft, Medium, Hard)
Misc: Hybrid, Prime
@@salommy So Fusion is Star, Lucid is Champ, and Classic is Base? Still to this day, that's how I categorize the main plastics. I only throw "Star" and putt with "Base". For someone who has only 3 buckets, it's confusing as heck to try and buy DD. And to be fair, Discraft and MVP/Axiom does it too
@10GritSandpaper I putt and throw the Pure. Zero is as follows, least to most OS: soft>med>hard. After that you have the Gold, then Opto not much different. And ipto sparkle has a touch more stability. thrown well, it's a dead straight to turnover disc in all forms.
Awesome comparisons! Definitely wished you had a Get Freaky Cryztal Flx zone in with the others.
Good video. Im a long time Discraft fan. Id love to see you compare Lone Star since theyre newer I know nothing about them. Gateway would be cool as well just because they get slept on so much.
You guys are amazeballs!
I thoroughly enjoyed the video. Discraft gad confused me forever, thank you!
Just got a couple of discs for Xmas in the lat 64 Frost plastic. Designed for cold temps, but it flies a lot differently (good different) than the gold plastic I am mostly used to. I actually got a flex line out of a river frost which usually holds the line like Toto in the other plastics.
Trilogy (where it’s comparable) and MVP/Axiom/Streamline!
in my experience, the difference from one Buzzz to another, even within the same plastic, is so great that comparisons between plastics seems almost meaningless.
Please do MVP next.
Love this series.
I found an Avenger SS and loved it for certain turnovers and then lost it. I don't know the weight or plastic. It was a swirly pink, very under stable and didn't come back, so I'm thinking ESP. 😬
Trilogy or MVP
I'd like to see either mvp or latitude 64 plastics compared next.
I've bagged both Z and ESP Buzzz's for a while, and it's always seemed like the Z is less stable for me. It makes me feel less crazy seeing y'all experience the same with the Buzzz SS.
I’ve experienced the same thing, and I have thrown plenty of different buzzzes in those two plastics and ESP starts out more stable and Z is dead straight
Results lined up with expectations. I would've liked to have seen Z FLX.
Darn, that's what I clicked on this video for actually
In my experience, Big Z is always more overstable then most plastics. I was surprised the roach proved that to be wrong.
same, Big Z has been my least preferred of all discraft plastics just on feel, but the typical overstability isn't a fit for me either
I bag Titanium Raptors, I have tried them all and they're the flattest and most over stable.
I have an ESP and a TI, but my ESP is more OS than my TI. Both flat, but my ESP is a literal board.
I wish they did Titanium in the video.
I was curious about the Zone.
clash , but just do steady in different colors haha
BigZ Buzzz was way more stable than the Z Buzzz, but after a season of throwing both, the BigZ is more understable.
Conclusion, BigZ can be more stable out of the box than Z, but beats in much faster.
I would like to see MVP
Great content. Your videos are always well done. Real question-What percentage of people get their hands on any Discraft plastic and say it feels "awesome". It seems like nearly every other manufacturer has at least one plastic that feels better than anything Discraft makes.
This is an interesting comment.
I do agree that some of Discraft's plastics can be a little underwhelming but there's something about them that has people hooked. When they get the swirls right, they are the best around, they feel more organic and random than some of MVP's manufactured swirls
For premium, I think any of their Flx line plastics feel amazing. Z Flx especially.
All their putter line stuff feels great too.
Hoping you find some type of scientific test to measure wet vs dry grip
Dang no ti at all
I prefer big z. My big z vulture and machete fly less stable then z but more stable than esp. my big z zone is way more stable then any zone it's almost the same as my star Toro
Putter line banger gt is perfect. Little flip up in long putts but the bead gives it stability and grip on ground play. Jawbreaker roach is good for turnover putts. Luna is my turnover thrower super Flippy
I also bag Esp and z meteors. I would love to get a big z meteor. But my fission reactor is in that slot for now
Comment
I bought a crystal flex zone, by far my favorite plastic from any manufacturer yet. Never thought Id like it that much.
Would be great to see Kastaplast next! MVP is one as well that all the plastics have similar names and its confusing a bit.
And one manufacturer I think nailed it with molds vs plastic is Daredevil, by giving different names to their discs when its an other plastic and flight. So you have the same mold with 3-5 different plastic, they will have different names. Makes it easier to choose a disc without buying a ton. Bought a few lately and their Flex Grip plastic might be my 2nd favorite plastic that I tried this year.
The overwhelming amount of their plastics r why i shy from discraft
