7/8" Forstner bit
7/8” Foster parent.
Who's doing the subtitles?
Fastener bit? Saw saw?
Hey man looks like u take pride n ur work, that's something alot of young people don't no anything about. If I can give you one piece of advice watch about connecting things were a knot is that knot could eventually bust and ur connection could become loose and b carefully standing on the main top of ur ladder. I used to do that and learned the hardway if u no what I mean. Like ur work keep the videos coming and b safe bro
most ladders have it printed on the top step too haha “don’t stand on the last rung”
? Young people don’t. No ? OSHA would be upset that his ladder is facing the wrong way and that he is using it unsafely. !
I love wood and so did my dad, he was a great carpenter, you have a good healthy respect for your work as did me dad 😅😀😀
Anyone else here a carpenter? And if so... Has anyone else daydreamed about finding an ultra rich customer and just doing EVERYTHING. Like if someone just gave you an endless spending account and said.. "make my house pretty" 🥴
Will offer this service to anyone In the Dallas area 🤞😉🤣
I've been on jobs like that. The top 2 floors of a hotel, massive downtown penthouse apartment. $80 million between the cost of the top 2 floors and the construction budget, which was all T&M.
Most rich people are frugal, you don't get rich by being generous
@@mattdubbz6508what does generosity have to do with wanting to have a sweet pergola in your backyard? Or to "make your house pretty" like the original comment said? You're not giving away money.... You're paying for labor and materials.
You're close but keep learning.Think about the attachment strength is lost when you counter bore 40 to 50 percent into the 2x8. Just food for thought. Timberlocks came late in the game for me so we needed to make galv. Nails work. I am sure timberlocks are exponentially superior but it's all about the installation
Genuine question here: Are coach bolts a good alternative?
Is there a way to stop these from maxing the brightness on my screen? Was just about to nod off till this came on
Press the three little dots,
A window will drop down,
Press do not recommend this channel.
Why a foster? Those things are expensive. Why not a 7/8 spade or auger?
No they are just about as cheap as most bits. Much better results.
Hey stupid question. Why use wood instead of the plastic wood like beams?
Like your technique and quality of work but I've never been one to cut miters with a circular saw. Even though you used a circular saw to cut it it still turned out looking great!!!
On that deck video he makes a 45° miter entirely with a Oscillating tool. 🤠
Anybody know how to stop yt from turning my brightness all the way up when I see this guy's vids
Hit the three little dots, a window will drop down, press do not recommend this channel.
You sound like the waltz kid from breaking bad
I like your work homie 👌
Is there any carpentry you dont do? Inspiring dude :)
Why wouldn't you make the first cuts on th ground? Why ?
Well from watching his other videos he says he doesn't trust his tape measure
I personally would have measured the post out to out at the bottom, cut the miters and pre drilled the holes from the comfort of my saw horses without every even going up a ladder. 🤷🏽
Gorgeous posts, nice work art.
No Mitre Saw?
What kind of lumber you using?
I've never built anything like that. Why does it matter which way the crown is?
Gravity
I like using a hand saw to finish a cut that wasn't all the way thru. Its makrs a much nicer cut 5hen a recipatatain saw
Too cool to make cuts on the ground huh. “Knocks the whole thing down when falling off the ladder”
Forstner bits for the win. Looking good with those notches too
What way does crown go and why?
Always belly up, because of gravity.
I'm certainly no expert, but I'm just wondering if that knot is going to be a problem?
Thanks it looks like nice work.
How you like that flex gear? What little Flex I've used I thought was awesome.
Did you use Kdat? Dried treated wood? If not miters will pull apart
Interesting
Try using an battery powered chain saw for those cuts that your circulating saw can't make. It cuts just as smooth. Just allow for the chain with.
Get yourself a 10”1/4 makita brother it has made a huge difference on the site battery powered
Lay off the kid.He is clearly passionate and hard working.Everyday is a learning day.
Ain't that the truth, lol. I use to run work for a union contractor, and my best guys were always the 1st to go!
Right through the knot 🤦♂️
I saw that.
What about standing on the top of the ladder ? 🚑
@@JohnDoe-jc3cl
Pony tail 😅
Dude, spent the extra $2.00 and get the 6” screw bit! It will change your life!
Oof bro.. I would not do miters on rough lumber like that at least cut em with a miter saw.. if ur gonna cut it up in place I'd try a different joint but I still hope to see a later video that they turned out good
you doing it right I’m a landscape on myself
You're going to landscape on yourself?
Funny thing about miter joints that are exposed to the weather...they move. They will open up, then look like a bad fit...always. Get a ladder that will keep your wife from feeding you through a tube.
This dude is an artist.
So is hunter biden I guess🤷🏽
Why not make the cuts on the ground? Also, is that top step OSHA approved? 😂
Doesnt take long to place your bolts in the same pattern on each beam but an amateur like this guy just sends it.
You need to look at Simpson decorative hardware.
This is like those cheesey training videos where a man in a denim shirt and a mustache show you EVERYTHING NOT TO DO.
Like that one with the guy standing on an aluminum ladder in a swimming pool with a skill saw citing a downed limb off the power line.
Yeah this reminds me of that.
Which way do you want the crown?
always bump up.
You mean forstner bit. But you probably said that for engagement. Keep on keeping on.
Dangerous man. Measure first cut in ground. You can fall doing that.
No doubt. He cold get the measurements by measuring out to out at the bottom of the posts, cut to length and predill from the comfort of some saw horses. In the 1 video where he's building that deck and cuts his miters in place on the ground he Mentions that he feels more comfortable with his measurements that way.
I really don't think he has confidence in his tape measure yet. 😢
Countersink ftw
Please do not climb that high on your ladder. It can be very dangerous.
He's wearing sweatpants. Need I say more?
Looks like you're working over a finished floor. I'd lay down some masonite.
bolting straight through the middle of a large dead knot 🤣🤡🤡🤡
Notice the posts are actually hollow. He could have packed them out where his beams were placed and put some through bolts in. He had to screw where the meat of the post was, hence having to screw through a knot.
@@redacted_redacted69troll comment he could have screwed lower there's still "meat" down there clown comment🤡🤡🤡
It’s definitely dead now
Hollow posts?
Forstner, SawsAll

😅😅😅
Seriously, invest in a sliding compound mitre saw and stop wasting time and hacking all of your jobs🤦
Ima fan boy
Why did my phone go insanely bright watching this video
Consider suspenders. Protect your hips
Work is good, as far as safety you are not to step in the last two rungs of a step ladder. Safety firts
Engineer would make you use 57 bolts that you can't hide
Why did my brightness go up??
this guy reminds of an an apprentice he sucks, he would be a good candidate for a physical education teacher
Honestly.....I don't. You need to hire someone with experience.
Tough getting those flying 45 cuts perfect in the air
OSHA has entered the chat.
Which chat?
OSHA is gonna lose their head when they catch you on a ladder like that homie
Good thing he's staying small and independent so the gubmint can't get all up in his biz.
FORST-NER, nay not “fawstur” bit.
Gettit right bub.
Forstener bit
Buy a bigger ladder, 200$
Fuck is a Fostner bit?
Australian 😅
at the most useless structure 😂 nah im messin, i’d love to have one to plant grapes on and morning glory
Safety first . Never stand on the top step of a ladder .
Welcome to 🤡 town
Know
😂 You all are professional, profit generating carpentry business owners I see!
Freaking CZcams comments man 😂 75% of y'all wouldn't last a week on an actual site, 20% are jealous they aren't making side revenue from their carpentry business, and probably are in the red due to over engineering, while the 5% of us remaining, see the issues, but realize that the project is always dependant on multiple factors. Not to mention, every commenter/pretend carpenter on here thinks every upright ever built has to be commercially coded. 🤣🤣
