What do Russians Eat For Lunch?

  • We all know that there is no food in Russia because of the sanctions but Russians are trying their best to find something to eat on a daily basis. Mud pies are the most popular foods and then of course there are dead cats.

the cafe has a tastier business lunch; near me there is not a canteen, but a cafe in which a set of usually expensive dishes from 12pm to 16pm costs 30% less, or you can choose a business lunch of soup, salad, a main dish and a drink. It costs 350-450 rubles per person ($3.5 - 4.5). Cafe "Shokoladnitsa" also offers good business lunches 3,5-5,5$.

In groceries - just dummies and cheap wine

It was a short English version of this:
      И безопасности своей вопрос решу...
      *ТИСЫ - то же, что тиски;

I thought it looked really good with all the variety they had there. Here in Sweden a lunch out in resturants are expencive. You can hardly find lunch under 900 rubles. And if you buy a readymade foodportion in a grocerystore they almost cost as much.

Really great video upload Sam. Beautiful town, buildings, quality people - other than the two hipsters acting the goat.
Fantastic restaurants and canteens. I eat out very often to get breakfast, but not so lunch or dinner. The sign read ‘hot dog’. I liked the woman talking about wine, and you shot back with ‘red or white’, brilliant, really nice woman, fine people. Biały, white. Same as Polish. My Russian is getting less worse.
Coffee, pharmacy, gold. Absolute coffee head - check. Worked in pharmacy for years - check. Acquire 3 or 4 tonnes of gold - still to get that one attended to. (i collect watches so liked that ‘repair’ shot)
There are Georgians here in Glasgow. Working several jobs, and having a big house built for them by locals back in Georgia. I do not say anything as it is unlikely to work out for them. - they wash cars, deliver Chinese food, work from home valeting cars. While having a wife and 3 young daughters.
This Georgian drives me nuts. He does something - _then_ asks me for my advice. He bought a new clutch on eBay for his Toyota thinking he is saving cash. I told him it does not work that way. The garage fitting it does not know where it came from and cannot guarantee the part. They have several motor factors that supply vehicle parts to them.
And they went to a new garage of some African guys to save money by having it fitted there. Yep, when fitted, the biting point was up at the steering wheel. They are thinking it will be cheaper if they … oh it bursts my head.
The Georgian alphabet and language is very difficult. I do not know what the Georgian statue man was carrying. It may have been a bag of old brake shoes to make a pot of soup.
The folks in your video, I like that they eat well, have a healthy disposition. Positive sound folks there. I enjoyed your video and well edited also. Great video. I’ve been watching all your work - 3 channels and thumbing up. Had a bereavement situation so that came from left field.
Your other video, “miod”, honey, same as Polish language. Where you are is genuinely a stunning place. You picked a cracker. You won’t see me saving up to go to Detroit or the Salton Sea. I liked your video the other day having 4 lunches. You are three inches taller than me but i can eat like a horse. Tall, broad, 50 inch chest. ‘Probably skip supper though.
May your camera batteries always be charged Sam. Good man. (Your dilapidated Soviet school video was great also. I like that you like signs. I am a wee bit mad obsessed with architecture, - and building/ construction)
What do Russians eat?! Better than westerners. A bag of Wotsits with a chive dip is considered a salad by many this side. I don’t eat crisps. I would eat everything you filmed there. Enjoying your channel comments also. Most are a fine sort on your channel(s). And glad also Milena’s channel is on the up.
3:10 is called ‘gillion’ - I know a lot of Iranians (they taught me Farsi) they call that “gillion”, but i have heard ‘hookah’ or ‘shisha’ too. Tobacco washed through water.

A bag of Sirniki at 7 minutes, the surprised woman is removing her ear pods thinking, ‘hang on, this is from Sam’s other video, how did he do that.!?’
There are people in this video with discounted Moscow shower gel from Milena’s video channel.
The Russian Federation can and does provide fabulous great contents.
    ___
(i need to research sirniki, i think it was the cottage cheese muffin that come as 4 to a plate in that nice restaurant. I could eat 4 different dinners no problem. Provided tea, coffee, water was plentiful to wash it down.
Conversely i can go 3 days without eating. I must be the odd exception)
