You guys know that it's content bait, right? Corpse has been playing this for how long and doing card swipes just fine? You can see all the bigger youtubers that show themselves playing games fail on purpose on things like that, or as Felix(pewdiepie) used to say "Oopsie! I failed, how clumsy of me!".
Getting people annoyed at a simple fail creates "buzz" which causes people to comment as they're frustrated at the easy to spot mistake, which in turn makes the video more likely to be spotted by the algorithm as amount of comments or "participation" is definitely one of its criteria.

It was his first time doing a livestream, so not only was he being watched by ten people in the actual game, but he also had 200k people watching his stream. Poor guy probably felt as bad as or even worse than when a really nervous person gets up on the stage. Also, the more nervous you get, the less rational you tend to be.
