Massive shoutout to the Dexters Dyna Stix candies @ 6:58. Keeping sugar levels optimal for those sends.
Thank you for the jam session, it has been amazing! Next time I want you on Excalibur! 🎉
When will we see Ondra in the cellar?
You should let people know on the community page for anyone that hasn't seen it the wideboyz doco is now available on Chris alstrins youtube channel. I only got into your videos fairly recently and hadn't seen it before and it was amazing to see what you were accomplishing a decade ago.
@@jono6379 thanks for notifying us of this I didn't realise it was up. We will do this 👍
He warmed up on Excalibur to prepare for the cellar
Underrated comment 👏
I thought he was warming up for Finland?
I love that a cobbled-together cellar in Sheffield has turned into a legendary climbing destination frequented by the greatest of all time. Great stuff.
is it though?
to me it seems more like an unfunny meme from a group of nerds who think crack is the peak of climbing and watch these guys religiously
@@rdtarcade7644 yeah, you tell em stud. You're the alphaest, hardest, climbingest commenter on all of the you tubes. Put the nerds in their place. 😂💀 Lmao grow up
@@rdtarcade7644 What are you even asking? Yes, it's not really debatable that world class climbers from all over have visited the cellar. It's pretty well documented on video and everything, I'm not sure what argument you're even going for here.
@@rdtarcade7644 I mean...it's undeniable that some of the best climbers in the world have come there to learn and have a good time. Not sure how you can doubt that?
@@rdtarcade7644 get a life mate
Nice strategy of luring the world's strongest climbers to England with the V17 replica only to kidnap them into Tom's crack cellar 😂
Burden of Dreams to Burden on Beams
@@terraflow__bryanburdo4547 High-quality.
Can you please upload a 6 hour uncut version of this. I need SO MUCH more of this in my life.
Pete, I have been thinking this for a long time. I consume a lot of climbing related content on youtube, but noone puts a giant smile on my face like you do. Your attitude and positive way of interacting with others makes every wide boyz video extremely enjoyable to me. Thank you very much kind sir! You Are A Legend.
Pete smiling at the camera saying "I love crack" gave me a lot of joy. It might have to be a notification sound 😅
It's just unreal to me that all of these legendary climbers are learning crack climbing in this crazy cellar that wouldn't look out of place in a horror movie! Just incredible stuff from you guys and a joy to watch.
Came here due to Toby from Storror and stuck around for the genuinely interesting content. Loving being introduced to new people that are wonderful at what they do. I have never had any time for any "sport" represented in the modern Olympics, but hands together for the off beat sports that have so much good vibes and community representing.
So cool to see others down in the cellar! It’s interesting to get an idea of differences in morpho and just how quickly a Stefano is able to pick up and translate his skills into other styles of climbing. Thank you for the great collab and can’t wait to see the next vid!
thanks. there is 1 more video on Wide Boyz and 2 on Stefano's channel in this collab! stay tuned
@@WideBoyz Can't wait!
@@WideBoyz when is the O-Dog video coming?
The Ondra videos are part of an engagement goal which will be released at a certain amount of subscribers.
@@iantaakalla8180 Thanks for the heads up. I'd been wondering why nothing had been posted although I'd seen the back to the real thing vid.
After seeing Magnus Midtbø and Adam Ondra with Ben Moon and Jerry Moffatt I can't help but notice the similarities. You guy are doing what they did in the 90s. You are absolute legends!
Where is the video with Adam ondra?
Stefano is one of those few guys that for some reason are underrated, but when it comes to power endurance he's probably among the top 3 in the world.
He's ridiculously strong.
He's top 1 in power endurance :)
even maybe top 1
With some more cellar work, he could even get into top 0!
Is he underrated? Isn't he one of the best-known climbers out there?
@@leoingson Surely Seb is #1, no?
Good to see you guys luring more people into the crack cellar :D
I also love all the extremely hostile motivational messages written on the walls.
Great collab Pete. Well worth waiting for! Stefano is insanely good, but the "Pleasure Loop" remains undefeated from the "Flash"!
very impressed by Stefano's paddle!! really strong in that jam
@@WideBoyz I have to admit that after his warm up I thought he was going to conquer the Pleasure Loop. Quite surprised really.
Oh boy!! Stefano and the O-Man in one year!! Hype
Love seeing new people in the cellar! Amazing content as always guys
I just watched the wide boys documentary, I shed a tear and laughed a lot. Pete is the funniest person on earth without even trying to be funny. He has a very magnetic personality, you can tell he has truly earned everything he's achieved. Tom is cool too. 😅
Invite some Czech guys over for the cellar. Not just Adam, but the trad monsters.
It's like when you have a sleepover with a childhood friend for the first time and show them your favorite fort
Those 1 arm pull up jam 🔥Bonkers
did you guys ever imagined when you first started climbing at the cellar that you'd be bringing the best climbers in the world to practice there?
That must be mind blowing hahahaha
Pete having Stefano in the infamous Crack Cellar and passing on his Crack Master wisdom was awesome to watch.
I've only watched a minute of this video yet but it's so nice to see Pete standing next to Stefano with such a big smile. He's definitely very honored to have him as a guest and to be able to share his knowledge on his big passion, crack climbing (in a filthy cellar).
Oh dear, you created another crack monster🤣. Great video. The cellar never disappoints ;) 10:30 hilarious.
Great video! I really love seeing Pete smile like a proud dad as Stefano cracks the cellar ❤
The cellar really is becoming the training place to be for the elite climbers, you seem to have cleared some of the cellar unique hazards like rusty nails and old tools that used to be littered about!!!
Love the content guys! One of the best channels on CZcams!
Oh damn you got Adam and Stefano in the cellar?
Awesome, thanks to you both. Literally my two favourite climbers to watch
Would love some longer videos where you chill in the cellar! Great stuff, almost therapeutic. Cheers from Norway!
The opportunity to watch these cracks on crack is just a juicy dream come true. Keep it up and thanks for the motivation that comes along with every clip of yours.
Love from Sächsische Schweiz
There’s been some amazing content already this year, these Colabs have been brilliant across all the main channels. Keep it up guys.
Love to see Stefano in all these videos! Dope vid for sure!
0:13
Yeah, I actually ran the numbers and it checks out. Science!
Yesss I have been waiting for this video to come out! Just what I need to cheer me up on a Monday 😁
For anyone that hasn't seen it the wideboyz doco is now available on Chris alstrins youtube channel.
And thanks again for the great videos
He definitely seemed to adapt very quickly.
I've been waiting for this one!
I loved this vid. It was great to see Stefano bring something new to the cellar with the campus-paddle challenge!
I love this collabs. So fascinating to see how fast the elite climbers adapt and use Petes advices immediately.
LETS GO! been waiting for this!
Did you guys end up completing the Crucifix? If not, are you still working it long-term or has it kind of faded into the "future project" graveyard? It's an absolutely legendary beast crack and I'm cheering for an ascent, but because it's so obscure and it was/is really just you guys working it, I've had loads of trouble finding information about it.
Awesome collaboration! I'm glad to see another of the world's strongest in the cellar learning the joys of crack. It's crazy how fast these guys progress! I remember looking at the easiest crack in my gym and thinking "how in the world can someone climb that? And it's only rated 5.9!" and here I am, many months after finding your videos and two weeks after buying Pete's book and practicing my jamming, barely able to make it up the half thin hands(because I have beefy hands), half perfect hands 5.9 vertical (both ways) splitter at my gym. The speed they pick it up at is incredible! Great watch, looking forward (as always) to seeing more from you guys.
Bloody heck Pete, your hands comparing to Stefano’s are like shovels for coal shoveling!😅
This is one of the coolest videos I’ve seen, and Pete just seems like the best dude to have as a buddy
omg finally!! Been waiting for this for a while now.
10:34 "This is good. He definitely knows how to jam."
That had me rolling for some reason LOL
Those one-arm pull-ups was insane! 🤯💪
would love to see you take him on a tour like you did toby with some crazy crack climbes!
Proper wideboyz content again!
Shut the f up! REALLY? You managed to get both Adam AND Stefano down to the cellar?! This is beyond amazing
Edit: Really interesting to see what makes the top climbers tick. It really looked like the jamming clicked for Stefano when he started campusing the cracks. Mega impressive
Where is the video with Adam ondra in the cellar?
@@KunalKishanMehta There isn't any yet as far as I'm aware. I assume it's coming though
Great stuff Stefano. Another legend in the cellar working on crack.
The pleasure loop is always a mission! Poor Stefano being given the pleasure challenge. One arm pullups off a hand-jam *Chefs kiss*
Wow, all the legends - you guys really deliver on this channel o.O
Man I have to make a "did you know" short on the Cellar. It is impressive to see all the top climbers in the cellar that we all want to climb💪
Stefano was super impressive on the cracks!
Thanks! This is awesome
Love seeing the cellar transcend to climbing glory.
Super interesting video, loved the discussions and seeing Stefano on crack 🙂
Stefano is a beast!
Wow! Thank you!
This was awsome to watch
loved the video!
Love it!! But when is the adam ondra video coming? I cant have missed it have I??
Wow. He even did some free solo crack climbing (14:03) on the edge of the concrete thing. I was actually concerned untill he stept on it haha
Really nice edit!
Thank you!!!
Stefano mentioning overgripping is nice. I'm finally starting to understand it aswell as a beginner with stuff around 6B-6C and it feels great to "relax" on hard hold because you "understand it"
You mentioned the short list of people doing 9B... And I'm wondering if there are not hidden talents somewhere in the wild that are capable of doing those routes and will simply never try them out...
People would probably say that most if not all world cup winners (lead) could do it physically.
The mental aspect of projecting over several weeks is something else though.
Tomoa Narasaki has more than enough strength for a 9b. Janja Garnbret definitely has the potential to tick one too, she just hasn't tried projecting one for very long. Jimmy Webb could've when he was a bit younger, not sure about if he could now. There are probably more.
As a casual observer, I find the (9b+ /9c) routes equally impressive and silly. Impressive, because it's obviously super hard and requires a lot of skill. Silly, because it's very hard to repeat them for most people, purely for logistical (/financial) reasons.
Let's go cellar video
Awesome that more and more beasts get into crack climbing! Maybe there is a roof crack out there that Stefano could campus ;). What's the hardest trad route ever campused? That might be a record that could get Stefano hooked (but you have to turn him into a trad climber too...)
Great vid👏👍
Coming up next: Alex Honnold? Please, please, please!
Listen very carefully at 20seconds 🤣
I love the cellar❤
So psyched
Top quality content as ever and hugely entertaining. Now just can’t wait to see how bad I am at Crackfest!
Pete please set a figure 4 off of a hand jam or a fist jam!!!
Damn I was just watching the short from the cellar with the aprupt ending 😂
STOKED for the next vid. this one was good too tho
In bigger jams the theories are actually my favorite shoes
Be me walking around sheff, can never be sure there's not one of the best climbers of all time shoving their hands into two by fours beneath me somewhere.
First time crack climbing? That's nuts. Stefano is really top notch also when it comes to versatility...
haven't clicked on a video this fast in a long time!
12:02 I got to admit, I'm surprised it ain't called the crabwalk..cus damn, that is just like seeing a on-land human crabwalk xD
The cellar is a humbling place. Nothing fancy, but even the best climbers in the world struggle with it.
so strong!
Ok. Sharma and Megos this year please.
"how big are your hands" is exactly how I used to flirt in year 8
Love the video, but where is that video with adam ondra tho?
I did not think I’d see Stefano doing crack in Sheffield in my life time
Crack is back missed u guys thanks for the new vid ❤
I was very interested to hear the discussion about tall vs short. I'm 6'6" (198 cm) and I've been climbing one time so far. I definitely felt like I almost had an unfair advantage, at least when it came to topping out. I could reach almost halfway up the boulder wall. But even though I'm skinny, I'm deceptively heavy. I weigh 220 pounds (99 kg) and I got pumped really hard really fast. I'll definitely need to step up my arm exercises before I go again.
He would be flippin cooking on the cracks :D
🍳😎
Cor that wisteria needs a good prune
Good shit Bois
Love seeing a 9b+ climber in the cellar!
Cooking crack in the cellar, that just sounds waaayyy too dodgy 😂😂😂
So at 7:13, I have to ask whether Dexter's Strawberry Dyna Stix are really good? Are they a licorice treat?
They’re absolutely exceptional. I take them on every shoot. If you can find them the larger ones in the plastic bag are better than the ones in the box but these are good too. They’re vegan and full of all the essential goodness to push pro climbers to their limits. If Dexter himself is watching please get in touch with Cameraman Pete, he spends a lot of money on them and would be happy to shoe horn them into more videos for more sweet sweet pencils! 😂😂😂😂😂
Take a shot every time Pete mentions Stefano’s 9b+’s
Stefano is slowly sneaking the goat title from adam
Wait! I see some guy taking photos with a Leica III? 😮 Around 6:20. Again 7:40, he's advancing the film 😗
👀👀👀
Fine eye!
Unfortunately it’s a IIc but still doing her job
Cheeers
I’ve never heard someone ask “how big are your hands” and then measure hand width instead hand length
I keep having fun reading those motivational comments all over the crack den. There is always a new one I discover, like "Didier will stick it".
I've been subscribed for ages!!!!! Where's the Ondra video!?!?!?
