    It looks great but I am curious about the white icing showing through when you were completed. Did you not add more pink frosting and cover it because that is where your decorations were going so you weren’t worried about it?

    If then making this double barrelled cake into a two tier cake would you just add more dowels to the top of the double barrelled and a longer central dowel? They don't need to go through the middle cake board as well? :) any help would be fab 🙏 xxx

      Yes it will, but remember to keep it in the fridge as mascarpone is not shelf stable ourside of the fridge xx

      you can buy them online or from cake decorating stores. I would definitely either provide verbal or printed information for your clients regarding the dowel removal :) Wedding venues and event spaces should also be notified when delivered the cake xx

    How much buttercream did you use for this recipe? Is 1x your swiss meringue buttercream recipe sufficient? I'm making this cake as my wedding cake and really don't want to run out halfway through.

      Just remove them prior to cutting and serving x This has to be communicated to client

    When you say chill the cake before making straight edges at the top? Do you mean put it in refridgerator or freezer?

      Either is fine. If using a freeezer, only do so for a few minutes to avoid over-chilling

    What size cake pans did you use??

      I believe this is 6 inches wide, but you can use any size really to make this orientation (5 inch up to 10 inches)

    How thick is the dowel you're using?

      Anything around 1cm thick will work well x (more of less by a few mm is okay too)

      Hello! As this was made from a 7 inch round cake, it would feed the same amount as a round 7 inch (and this applies for any size cake tin you use).
