Episode 86: "Seoul Bowl 2019"
Recorded February 16, 2019
Released February 24, 2019
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This week's show was delayed several days for reasons explained in the first few minutes of the show. Thanks for understanding.
On today's PRODIGY, five kids stage one of our rare all-handicap events, as most of our top bowlers were away at a big tournament. But the five kids you'll see here serve up a pretty entertaining show with lots of good shotmaking and some close finishes.
As always, your comments are welcome. But please, if you are going to critique the kids, do so in a positive manner. If all you have to offer is to insult the kids or try to hurt their feelings, your comment will be removed. Sorry, we're not here to badger kids, we're here to lift them up. The mission of PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR is to "Celebrate Junior Bowling while we Elevate Junior Bowlers." Keep your comments helpful, not hurtful, and we won't have a problem.

Hey brownswickbowling how do I keep the same power and momentum going through the entire game?
fire_ demon -- Don’t project forward or think back. Stay in the moment. I know it sounds cliché, but one shot at a time.
I'm sorry about your dog Randy 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🙃😭🙃😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🎳
@@ProdigyBowlersTour thank you so much sorry for your loss
Hey randy. I’m thinking about coming to one of the prodigy events in the near future. Do I have this email correct because my mom wants to contact you for more info. Randy@prodigybowlerstour.com
So sorry for your loss, Randy. That was a great tribute to your dog. I'm 100% sure you gave her a great life and if she could speak right now, she would say, I have no regrets...I love you, dad!
By the way, on the very same day I was at the vet saying goodbye to Mulligan, within about an hour of when we were doing that, PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR star Charlie Bostic and his mom were at their vet across town putting their cat down. So all in all, it was a pretty awful day in PRODIGY-land. Thanks for all the kind words.
:(
I'm so sorry for your loss Randy. Really so sad my friend.. Prayers my brother
I'm truly sorry for your loss. My chiuiauia died last Friday and it really put a toll on me. He's been there since the day I was born. He was 13 when he died
Hey Randy,
I'm sorry to hear that Mulligan passed away. Our hearts and prayers are with you and Mulligan, and may God bless her so much. ❤️ 🙏
We always celebrate junior bowling, and elevating junior bowlers for Prodigy Bowlers Tour! 🙂 👍

I know this is a old show but I’m very sorry what happen randy
Randy... my deepest condolences. Just remember, she’ll always be there in your heart and mind. Remember the good times. And know she’s in a special place now running around having fun and always watching over you.
Sorry for your loss Randy. I am watching this with my 9 year old cat. Im hugging him.
I almost cried from the intro, the relationship from Dog to Humans are nothing like any relationship on Earth, it breaks my heart when someone loses their dog, I just can't feeling sorry, I wish I had a dog to hug for you coach Randy...
I got the notification 8 hours after it released.
I’m going to stay here the whole thing. Just for you randy. I love you so much hang in there bud. I will also donate to your Pateron. You deserve more than that. But that’s all I can do I’m sorry. 😘
Sorry for your loss randy, take all the time you need to cope through this, we will see you again soon ;)❤️
Loved the outcome! Enjoyed the Talent show at the end...well done!
My condolences Randy😢
My condolences to Mulligan. I had a similar experience with my cat, Blackjack. I got him on Christmas Day 2006 and he was estimated at 4 months old. So I gave him an unofficial birthday of August 22, 2006 which was when my dad died. So I kinda saw Blackjack as a reincarnation of my dad of sorts. He died almost exactly five years after since he had issues processing food right out of the gate. No matter what he ate, it wouldn't agree with him. He was only 5, but he lived every second of it. It was like a dog in a cat's body. Like my dad did in my youth, Blackjack saved me from myself many times during my mid and late 20s.
I don't know you personally but I enjoy these bowling shows and I'm very happy that you still had it in you to get this show out. So thank you Randy for still committing to provide entertainment to your audience. This is WAY better than most PBA shows.
I know exactly what you’re going through. I had to put down my best friend of 15.5 years a couple months ago. I still break out in tears when something reminds me.
I am sorry you lost you sweet girl.
I hugged my 3 year old cat after seeing your tribute, I know all too well what you felt when putting your dog down, I've had to do the same thing twice in my lifetime, both were beloved cats I had for over 10 years, I think about them even to this day and I can't help but get a bit of a heavy heart, but it just pushes me to love the kitten I have even more, yes I know 3 years old isn't a kitten anymore but she is my kitten no matter what.. life goes and memories may fade but the love you feel for those special pets in our lives never fades, best of wishes to you from here on out
Randy, I too very sincerely share my condolences with you. In January I had to take a train trip up to Red Wing Minnesota to attend a funeral mass for a very, very dear cousin of mine, Bryce Samuelson who passed away at the age of 36. I still haven't heard of the cause yet. I definitely share my sympathy about your having to put your dog down. I will admit I am still not quite over my grief yet. This, after a little more that 2 months ago having another cousin, Mary pass away at 64 (severe developmental disability). I attended that funeral service too. I am right with you, I heard your comments at the beginning of the Seoul Bowl show. Theodore Olson
Bo's performance was just beautiful
Dig through my channel named "rbvo" and you'll find another video of him at the school's talent show a year earlier when he sang the Beatles' "Blackbird." The part that I like is at the very end when the girls scream for him, like it's Beatlemania all over again. LOL! BTW, I don't use the "G-word." They call me "RanDad."
Coach Randy, please accept my condolences. Losing a loving pet is tough. Another great video! One observation. Nolan takes a 4 step approach and he gets the ball into the swing on step 3! If I were coaching him, I'd try to get his ball into the swing much sooner
Coaching is a funny thing. As the Youth Director at the bowling center, my job is to run the league. As a coach, I try to help where help is welcome. Some kids would call me their coach. Others don't really take coaching all that well. Nolan is a good kid. But I learned early on with him that any attempts at getting him to change his game would fall on deaf ears. As you might expect, the first thing I did with him was try to get him to SWING the ball and to let his arm fully extend. I don't know if he just couldn't do it or didn't want to, but I got the message. He has his way of doing things, and isn't all that open to changing. Same thing with his late timing. There's only so much you can do with a kid who's been doing it one way his whole life and isn't all that interested in making wholesale changes. One of the first things we learn as coaches is that you can coach some people, while others prefer to just do it their way. There's nothing wrong with that. I never try to force coaching upon anyone. If they want my help, they'll take the advice I give and try to use it. Others (and their parents) may even go so far as to engage me for a series of private lessons away from league. The simple truth is, you have basically two types of bowlers -- the ones who are and will always be strictly recreational bowlers. They might have a competitive streak in them that shows up at times, but they're basically there solely for fun and recreation. Then there are the ones -- the elite bowlers, I call them -- who are your tournament bowlers. They're the ones who pursue private lessons, are really into getting the latest equipment and every other "edge" they can find to make them as competitive as possible in tournament play. They're the ones who are going to be the most interested in what a coach has to say. Now, even with that group, there are limits. For instance, if I know a player has a coach (not me), I won't go out of my way to try to bend their ear, unless they appear lost and I think I might be able to help. But as a rule, they don't want to hear advice from anyone but their own coach anyway. Nolan falls somewhere in the middle. He's not really a tournament bowler, per se. And yet he definitely has a competitive streak. But I've tried to get him to change a couple of things and he hasn't shown much interest in it. So in those situations, I just root for the kids and wish them the best. Fact is, he's gotten better through the years. Repetitions do help. But there's no question in my mind that he could get a whole lot better with (a.) a straight arm delivery (including a flatter wrist instead of the broken wrist he employs, and (b.) earlier timing. But to make those changes would surely start us down a path that would lead to many more changes as well. And at some point, I think you have to say the best approach is to work with what you have. I think most coaches would agree with that.
love Love Love your show. It's a great tribute to Junior Bowlers and the kids. The best average I ever had was around 175. I can't believe that some of the kids have a 200 average. Amazing. I really appreciate the work you put into the show.
Love this content
Coach Randy our hearts go out to you, as my husband and myself have lost our beloved furry friends too. We so love your shows and all of the hard work you do. Keep up the good work.
I’m very sorry coach for the emotional trauma that you are undergoing. It is with the fullest heart that I say that as a part of prodigy, (as a subscriber) just know that we are all here for you and give you our most heartfelt condolences. Stay strong coach!
Yay, welcome back randy!
I had some surgery last week so getting to watch a New episode of Prodigy made my weekend. I love to watch the kids bowl each other since I can't bowl anymore. Thanks Prodigy.
james daniels you can still bowl though right
Randy I am sorry for the loss of your dog. I lost my little chihuahua Chico about 3 years ago, and I still want another little dog, but I am afraid of another loss. Perhaps a little later when I have to stop bowling. I am still bowling at about a 190 average, but the pain still hangs around most of the time. My right shoulder, and wrist are just about completely done. I am now 76, and bowling in the Greater Ozarks doubles, and singles a week from Saturday. I am bowling in the Great Southern the Saturday after that in Memphis. After that, I should be nearly done until next year, if I can hold out for another year. Stay safe, and well my friend.
So kind of you. Stay strong yourself.
That was such a moving tribute to Mulligan, Coach Randy; a testament to the mutual love between you and her. I had to pause the video to clear my eye water issue before I could continue . . . Okay, let's get to bowling.
great episode randy!!! loved your tribute to mulligan and bo's song was really good!!!
Sorry for your loss Coach Randy, I know the feeling of losing a love one, I had to put my dog of 10 years to sleep about a week before I went to Junior Gold this past summer so I was a mess going there
I am so sorry for your loss, I had to put my dog down last year and it was the hardest thing that I have ever done but I know that she is in a better place and it is better that her suffering is over.
Sorry for your loss! Rest in peace.
I actually cried during the intro. I'm sorry for your loss coach. I know how you feel. I hope you feel better soon.
Beautiful tribute for a beautiful dog and beautiful relationship. I definitely feel your pain and you'll be in my thoughts. I had to put down my dog Buster on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. He was almost 14 and he also stopped eating in those last days of his life. Come to find out after an X Ray that he had heart failure and upon seeing the X Ray there was so much fluid in his chest cavity you could barely even see any of his organs. Dogs are amazing and as I tell people all the time, I like and love my dogs more than I do most humans. It's a devastating occasion when we lose our furry friends. I'm still not over it and I never will be, I'm sitting here crying as I type this up and as I watched your tribute to Mulligan. It always blows my mind the amazing impact a dog can have on a man, woman or child. Not a day goes by where Buster, and my current dog Magglio don't make me laugh out loud because of something silly they do. Randy know that you're not alone in mourning and that a lot of people will be thinking about you and your sweet pooch.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful response. My heart goes out to you, too, as I can relate to what you're still going through. It took me months before I would not occasionally shed a tear after my last dog, Chewy, was put down. It's just so sad that they we don't get to spend more time with our fur babies.
Dale Hansen, the sports anchor for WFAA-TV Channel 8 in Dallas, the ABC affiliate there, and probably the best sportscaster in America, recently offered an editorial about his dog after he had to put her down. It happened just a few days before I had to say goodbye to Mulligan. His words were pretty spot on and I think might ring true for you, too:
www.wfaa.com/article/sports/sports-blog/dale-hansen/dale-hansen-unplugged-a-farewell-to-beloved-miss-hailey-never-your-typical-dog/287-dcecf745-af0d-4cc6-99dd-5c1761d08911
Sorry coach. I'm right there with you, and I bet most of your viewers are the same. They love unconditionally. The pain we feel when they are gone is still worth it for the love we get.
Haven't seen the first shot of the first match, and I'm already bawling.
What a beautiful pup. My cap is off to you and to Mulligan, Randy. She sure knew you loved her.
Good job bowlers. And great vocals Bo. Sorry to here about your loss Randy.
We love you randy.
Awh bless your family too. Your grandson is so adorable.
He's amazing. Dig through that channel and you'll find the video of him and his dad (my son) from the year before when he sang the Beatles' "Blackbird." Stay 'til the end to hear the girls scream at the end. It's priceless!
I notice Nolan is swinging the ball through much closer to his slide leg on the delivery. This is going to maximize his control of the pocket, and his consistency on spares. Good change, Nolan!
I hope that some of the tips I give on the show trickle into some of the kids' games. I made mention of this as it pertains to Christian Knowles on our last show. If Nolan picked up on it and worked to incorporate it into his own game, that's great. But we haven't talked about it.
Bo ROCKS! That's a very difficult song, and hardly anybody should even try to sing it; he knocked it out of the park!
Some times away to forget bad stuff is to get in to doing stuff that you love to do. Just by the time you put in with those kids means you really love doing it. It's a start
It’s alright man. coach randy, take all the time you need. Really do. God bless you and Mulligan.
Sorry for your loss. I am sure he enjoyed every moment of his life with you and I believe you gave him the best life possible.
Her.
awfully sad to hear of you beautiful dog what a great life you gave her i can relate my rescue dog is about 12 my boy echo has been by my side for my 4 operations all since 12 -28 -15 thru 8-7 18 i am sad for you sir i lost my dear mom 12 23 18 and have cried everyday since your show and your kids break up some of my bad days god bless you coach Randy be strong brother maybe after a while rescue another beautiful dog and give that dog a great life
My heart goes out to you, Rich. Hang in there.
S.I.P Mulligan Brown. My mother lost her cat last year, just 3 months later my cousin lost his dog pebbles and my other cousin (which is the sister of the cousin who lost pebbles) lost her cat Princess which was the cat that my dear aunt who passed away not too long ago gave her. I feel for you Randy. It's never easy when losing someone special in you're life. I pray for strength in this time off loss. You're youth as well as you're subscriber family is all behind you and we may not give you a physical hug. Our spirit and energy are with you. Stay strong Randy 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
Coach randy Nick G. Has been on the show when Andrew and bug Logan first came
Yes, I am aware of that. He was on the show twice before this week's episode. Once when he wasn't actually "on" the show. He was merely practicing on the adjacent pair of lanes. And once when he was one of the contestants but made a quick exit. That was about two years ago.
I think you meant to type "big" Logan (not "bug" Logan), which is ironic, since "little" Logan (Fossum) is sometimes known as "Bugman."
Ha
Hey coach Randy, I'm in a similar boat. My cat of 16 years was put down wednesday. I hope you can get through this hard time and remember the good times with your dog.
Hey no worries Randy, take as much time as you need with this.
I'm sorry for her loss, may she rest in peace...this is a good lesson since everyone with a healthy, happy pet should be beyond appreciative.
Rest in peace
I think I saw Sean Rash thin slice the ten pin over to take out the seven not too long ago. Quadrillion to one shot.
Yep, he's the one who did it.
Stay strong coach Randy 🙏
Sorry about your dog. Pets are family and your a good guy Randy. He’s in heaven playing with my Morry’ who past away a year ago. Chin up my CZcams friend.
Sad to hear about Mulligan, Coach Randy. Thoughts and prayers are with you from upstate New York.
Here’s a silly question, is there any possible way to get the pin-deck cam they have on PBA telecasts? I know it might be a year or so out. But it would be great to have for say the TOC at the end of the season, so the viewers can get a close-up of the pin action.
My dog past away last Monday on Presidents’ Day as well. He was almost 14. I’m really sorry for your loss randy. Losing someone you have known for so long is one of the hardest things to go through.
PRODIGY's Charlie Bostic had to put down his cat on President's Day as well. He and his mom were at their vet across town at almost the exact same time I was at the vet with Mulligan doing that awful deed. It was not a good day in PRODIGY-land. Sorry for your loss, as well. It sucks.
I must say, Brunswick zone Roswell looks much better than it looked before they really made the place look nice.
They still need to make accommodations for observers (in the case of youth league, the parents) to have a place to sit. For the time being, they've dragged out a few extra tables and chairs from the bar. But long term, I think they're going to get some sort of high top counters and maybe some taller bar stool-like chairs to sit behind the bowlers. I think they're waiting for corporate to approve the additional expense. Why they didn't think of this beforehand is somewhat puzzling. But at least they've come to recognize the need to address the issue.
@@ProdigyBowlersTour I thought they was done with all that alright they must still got work to do. But other then that it still looks nice.
I have a rescue dog and love her to pieces. Just extending my sympathy and sorry for your loss Randy.
Stay strong Randy!
Sorry for your loss Randy we lost are dog last Sunday she was 10 years old and she really left an imprint on are hearts I'll keep you in my prayers
I'm so sorry for your loss buddy it gone be ok. 😕
Stay strong Randy. RIP Mulligan 🙏
Hope your doing well Randy. Sorry for your loss
Coach Randy, my thoughts and prayers are with you, my dog Coco passed away in september 2017, it was the hardest part of my life having to put her to sleep, i still cry almost 2 years later, my only thing to say to you is it will get better, just know mulligan is in a better place and will always be in your heart, she will always watch over you and will be waiting at the gates for you until you arrive, again my thoughts and prayers are with you through this hard time.
Hunter is so much more than a trickster, he's a treatster for his fans and I'm one of them.
This made me go over and hug my dog
Sorry randy for you loss

That was so beautiful. Love seeing parents bond with their kids. How long has he been singing? He really is good.
Check out the one from last year. I especially like the part where the girls scream at the end, like it's Beatlemania all over again. :-)

Coach randy how many 300 have you bowled
8. And 5 800s, including an 847 (278-280-289, which included 20 Xs in a row -- last 10 of the 280 and first 10 of the 289). With plastic ball -- a Columbia 300 Yellow Dot -- on wood lanes back when such scores actually meant something. (1979, I believe.)
Wow back then an 847. That’s some good bowling
Caleb Reaves -- Six of my eight 300s were back then, in the late ‘70s/early ‘80s. Two of my 300s, one of my two 299s and a pair of 805s all came in the last few years after I turned 60. The last season I posted a full season book average (two years ago), it was 217. I can still bowl a little.
that last song was nice
Dear Randy,
Take as much time as you need if you read my other comment you know I know what it feels like god bless you and Mulling Rest In Peace Milligan
As my grandma says "the dog is on the rainbow bridge to heaven."
Jake, love the USA shirt, who from/brand?
The kids last name is bohling and he bowls😂. Also, sorry for your loss
Damn, was disappointed that the video changed to bowling, and not more of your dog, i shed a few tears for you, today my room mate almost put both her dogs down, we tried rehoming, and rescues, no one wanted them, as they are pitbulls with a bad rep, both dogs have injured 2 dogs each, not seriously injured, just minor wounds, but we made the decision to keep them for another 30 days, and try more rescues
That sweet dog face! At 0:56!! Mulligan’s got a sweet and innocent face!
Another good episode.
I do have a question for you Coach Randy. Have you ever considered using the "Premier" feature in CZcams? This feature allows creators to set a specific time (for example Friday March 1 at 3PM EST). As soon as the time is set, notification is sent to those subscribes who have post notifications enabled. Before the time set comes up, a countdown clock appears on top of the video's thumbnail. When the time expires, the video plays as it were live (and a live chat appears on the side). Viewers can interact with each other, and the creator can also interact live with the viewers). After the video plays in its entirety, then the video would appear in the subboxes like normal.
No, I have not considered that. The show's release is at a somewhat irregular time. And I release it first to our PRODIGY Patrons who commit to a small donation each month through Patreon. Go to www.patreon.com/prodigybowlerstour to find out more.
For the time being, I'm satisfied with the way we release the videos now. And I'm not sure what benefit a live chat would add, especially since the public release of the show usually happens at around midnight on Fridays. (Give or take.)
No joke I witnessed a 7-10 conversion yesterday
Aww I’m sorry you have my prayers
I am so sad that you lost your dog she is the most adorable dog I have ever seen so sorry 🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧😢😢😢
Ouch. Wasn't expecting gutter balls here and there. Better not do that in my league because if you throw a gutter ball on the first shot near a young and powerful team that's had their vice grips on 1st place called "The Re-Birth," (they still do) they will get amused and shout "SURVEY SAYS: ZE-RO!" where everyone can hear them.
All jokes and catchphrases aside, I'm sorry for your loss, Coach Randy. I've been on a similar boat in the past. I've had to put my dog, Corona down when she was eating something she shouldn't have that was entering my backyard. I'm gonna miss her, too. R.I.P. Mulligan.
Hey Coach Randy. I have a question to ask. With today’s episode allowed us to see Nick Gilbert, I’m curious, but are some of the BZ Roswell bowlers who were on previous episodes (S1 or S2) still bowl there? Just in case if it’s worded weirdly, I’m asking if people such as Kara, Korina, Langston, Will, Brin, and Cameron still apart of the league or at least still bowl (I remember how you mentioned how Rudra and Trishul had continued bowling, just in open play however).
Also sad to hear about your lose. My condolences towards you.
Of the kids you mentioned, Kara, Korina, Langston, Brin and Cameron all still bowl league with us. A couple of them are in their last season with us, as they're seniors in high school and will be off to college next year. Will did not return to bowl this year, which kind of surprised me, because I still hear from his dad fairly regularly on Facebook. Rudra and Trishul still bowl, but they bowl league at another center in the area. They always lived closer to that center, but I persuaded them (and their parents) to bring them to Roswell to bowl with us a couple years ago. One of these days I'll get 'em to come bowl on PRODIGY again. You won't believe how much they've grown since you last saw them. Great kids. Great family. And thank you for your kind words of condolence. :-)
14000 wow good job
Where was Brandon K? He's my favorite bowler.
Crazyplayer32 ._. FRIES
Brandon Karavite GUMBY
He made a cameo at 6:05.
Sorry to hear about your dog Coach Randy. I would like some advice on a new bowling ball. So I have a tweener type style. I have lower revs with faster ball speed. (15-18mph) My Roto Grip Wreck-It can't keep up w/ what I want to do w/ it, and would like to know what kind of ball would be perfect for me. Write know I shoot with a 14 Ib ball and looking to move up with 16 Ibs. Any type of advice is helpful.
I'm gonna be honest with you: It's been a while since I've bought a new bowling ball. Ever since I blew out my ankle, my bowling has been very limited...to the point now where I haven't thrown a bowling ball in a while now...and haven't been in the market for a new one in a while. I say all that to convey that I may not be the best guy to recommend what ball is right for you. I probably wouldn't be the best guy to recommend what ball is right for you anyway unless I could see you in person throw it. In these cases, I always defer to a qualified professional ball driller in your area. One has to assume that they are well enough versed in what's out there that would work with your style. That said, as you surely must know by now, once you go down the rabbit hole of buying bowling balls, it's never enough to own just one. Like Lays Potato Chips (Betcha Can't Eat Just One!), I betcha can't throw just one bowling ball. As lane conditions change, you'll need different surfaces, different shells, different equipment to "match up" with the conditions you're bowling on. I will say this: Very few players throw 16 pounds nowadays. Most are throwing 15, even many of the pros. With the modern ball, you just don't need 16 pounds. But if you're intent on going to 16, knock yourself out. It will certainly help lower your speed some. If that's your objective. Me? I throw 15, and it's plenty. If you're going to bowl on sport shots, you'll need more than one ball for sure. But even if you only bowl recreationally on house shots, you'll still need at least a couple of different balls -- one for when you're on fresh oil and one for when the lanes are chewed up. (And a third one for spares, I would say.) My 2 cents. But I would defer to a local pro who can see you throw it and who knows (probably better than I do) what balls are out there that would work with your style. Here's a hint: It ain't the arrow, it's the indian.
@@ProdigyBowlersTour OK thank you for the advice. I will talk to the Pro Shop owner and have him watch me to see what he recommends me. He fitted me for my last one and it's been a year since he's done my last one. Thank you and I will take this advice into consideration.
I had the roto grip wreck em and it does not hook that much even though I throw with 357 revs
I bowled against a Randy Brown in a bowling game
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ sorry for you lost coach
Sorry to hear about your dog Randy I've been there twice I still get choked up when I think abt them that's probably why I haven't gotten another dog. But on a lighter note Nolan one thing fold ur towel u get better coverage wiping off ur bowl. You've got to learn to adjust moving front to back or side to side. If your ball is going Brooklyn take a half step forward or if its lite take a half step back start there.
Rip dog :(
Mulligan
Sorry about your loss
Nick G’s backswing makes Christian and Logan’s look puny. 😂

So sorry for your loss
Sorry about your Dog Randy.
It's not a problem to have headphones in your ears, but if you are and it's not cordless. You might wanna put the headphones through you're shirt. If not there's a possibility that it can interfere when you bowl like get tangled with your arm swing.
On a different note, have you considered live streaming these shows? If that is possible? I think it would be really cool.
Doing the show as a live stream would result in one of two things:
To keep the cost where it is now ($0), the show would take on a very scaled down, bare bones look. Not something I would be proud of or would be willing to put my name on.
Or, to maintain comparable production values, it would increase the cost of doing the show to at least $5,000 a week (just for hiring the additional personnel necessary to man the equipment), not to mention all the hardware that would need to be purchased or rented each week. We'd be looking at an initial up-front cost of upwards of $30- to $50-thousand dollars to do it right.
What makes PRODIGY PRODIGY in my view is that it is a low budget production that doesn't look, feel or sound like a low budget production. That's only possible be recording it with one (or maybe two) camera(s) and doing all the tricks in post-production. To do them live would require a portable TV studio and a staff to operate the various pieces of equipment.
Not gonna happen. At least not on the feature show.
Livestreams work okay if we're doing some sort of scaled-down show, like when I'm in the car with Christian driving somewhere or just doing a hand-held thing with my iPhone. But the Sony camcorder I use now for shooting PRODIGY does not have internet connectivity. So we'd need to purchase a switcher that does. Once you go there, you're on a slippery slope.
