Hola amigo, Tengo entendido que estas gafas protegen de los reflejos que se puedan producir en la avitación donde está el láser, como paredes, etc. Peró no te protegen si miras directamente el corte. Hay que tener en cuenta que una parte de la luz és infrarroja y no es visible. Yo también estoy haciendo una un poco más grande, de 60w Co2, y la idea es hacerla completamente cerrada con una cámara dentro y un pequeño monitor fuera... Saludos desde Catalunya
We use a 15W laser and a little smaller CNC system to rework panels. Unfortunately it is fixed focus and had to be modified to get the laser the required space from the surface. We got the same glasses but don’t trust them that much too. The laser powered on when I plugged the USB cable in and burned a hole in the desk !! This laser is nice a powerful but without laser focus ability it makes it a challenge to use.
Thanks for the video! I would really like to see what this laser could do with with a good hardwood instead of cheap plywood. I am thinking of buying this engraver and if I do I will reinforce all the plastic pieces with washers at each screw hole to distribute the stress as well as install corner brackets!
I hsve the same problem with elekscam. Manual movment and when you engrave no movement. This is a bug in the software. Make sure that your Windows have the Region. Englisch united states and it will work

Hi i have same machine just assembled it ..worked for 5 min but now wont move at all in y or x ...in benbox when i hit the manual move buttons a light flashes on main board somit seemms its getting signal from software but stepper motorscwont power on.....i can manually turn on laser...any ideas why steppers seem dead or no signal?

good build description,good enough kit for a 2 axis laser,safety features are lacking a big carboard box might help more than the glasses(not being funny),or a 6mm plywood box with interlock micro-switches to cut power to the stepper driver board,super simple and the arduino nano can still accept the CAM files,most of these things need a bit of tweaking to make the thing you REALLY want it to be,a 3 axis might be more than it can support(flex/deflection of the axis support beams,though you could rebuild it with larger gauge box section. I want one,though i think my own build will get exactly what i want/need. Great vid,like with a BIG thumbs up dude.

I can move the laser manually, but when I select the photo while it shows to the computer that it reads the design it does not move the laser at all. Could you help me? Thank you

Those glasses are the minimum required. You should get better glasses. the orange ones.
Not the best product but the design is super simple. I might make myself one of those based on this design but different as some of those parts are hard to find here locally or are too expensive even from china.
By the way it's not 2,5W laser ..they are pretty all over the place. Mine measures only 900mW light output >..< EleksMaker needs to make something with their QC or stop lying about their products. Also you used the nuts on the swrews completely wrong way - they are supposed to grip into the acrylic ;)

Axel Werner Well the machine is quite simple. Its not like you cannot buy the components separately and build something similar yourself. The angle brakets could easily be 3D printed and the rest bought or replaced. An arduino uno + cnc shield could easily replace the main board.
The company that helps my workshop shouldn't bother you. I show you the machine and I really wanted this one for my future projects. If you want to buy it using any other shop is your choice. If you are not here for my videos, I'm very, very sorry to hear that. Have a nice day.

Cool, but i plan to buy the first price co2 laser cnc laser cutter for arround 350 euros instead, because i think cutting is more usefull.
I wanted that but is 350 for USA. For Spain with shipping and all is almost 1500 :( and I don't have that yet.

what about PCB label engraving. Can you write text on PCBs to mark where which components needs to be placed?
You have to put a 10k Pulldown Resistor to the pwm signal pin of the Arduino, so it won't turn on by itself when you connect it to your pc

Noa Gomez I have a 3 watt Insma engraver and it does leather really well. Usually anything over 2 watts would reliably do the trick.

It cuts very thin fabric. Won't cut leather, only engrave it! Maybe passing the laser multiple times..
