I'd talked myself out of getting this but you answered every preliminary question I had. Now I actually see the NEED for this in my project and it's an entirely different perspective.
My budget battles are between 3D printer resin supplies or getting additional hardware. I think I'm sold. This is an investment.
The thoroughness of this presentation is impressive. I ordered the "20watt" version based on a first viewing. I appreciate your clarification of input versus cutting power, as well as a live demo of what can be accomplished with this unit. The Ortur is preferable to the similarly priced Chinese K 40 CO2 lasers IMHO because the K 40s, while more powerful, the build quality and included components seem spotty at best, and the the setup is more difficult. Many CO2 lasers tout pass through capability, a feature that would obviously be easy to implement. The easy customization of an extrusion based frame makes it easy to implement changes to expand capabilities. If this proof of concept laser works for me, I will likely order a larger more capable FullSpectrum machine, while retaining this surprising capable machine.

I just bought an Ortur 15W Master Laser 2 and your video helped me so so much to get it up and running. The best hint was that I have to hold the shift-key when I want to turn on the laser while running along the frame. Many thanks!!

Clearly you didn't actually watch the video where I explained the difference between input power and optical output power. I find that with stupid people they react without thinking or researching, they act like a dog, see something, react to something, except you can train dogs. Here boy have a dog biscuit and fuck off.

I was considering a FS Muse system, but I wanted to begin to understand the technology before taking the plunge. When i saw this system a while back I thought it's a toy that could not cut more than paper, and so I stayed away. Buying a K40 type laser did not appeal to me although there is a great deal of information on dealing with that type of systems shortcomings. I'm a design engineer, so the upgrade process didn't scare me from the technical point of view, but I did not want to take on another project of that type at this time.
When I found this video, I bought my OLM2 based on this presentation, especially when i learned that it had the capabilities you have shown. Since then, I have been inspired to take the journey, following the learning paths that you linked to.

Got this same laser as a birthday gift from my in-laws. Quite excited to start working with it, and ever grateful for such kind in-laws :-P. In the meantime, great to see these sort of reviews on the CZcamss. (commenting for the Al-Gore-ithm)
Holding Shift while resizing will preserve the aspect ratio of your text/images.

Great video. While searching for tips for a new woodworker, I fell down the rabbit hole in a CNC path which led me to 3D printer that led me to laser printers - I enjoyed every minute of this journey - but you led me out of the hole with your well presented, detailed, presentation and I am ready to jump into the laser medium. Actually found after another brand (lower priced) model popped up in ads. But by far this is the clearest and easiest to understand. The other one could not find any info or videos. So that made me search deeper. The best product representation I've seen. But shipping time could be improved. Standing by /saving for order.

Superb video! Mine arrived today, and i don't think I'd have assembled it as quickly as i did with just the official user manual. Mine appears to be a slightly later version, and there are a couple of new bits not covered in this video, but they are not covered in the manual either. I'm saving this video as a go to reference guide.

One of the best, if not the best video I have seen on this machine. All useful & relevant information. You should give lessons on making these type of videos. There would be so much more useful videos out there then, instead of a lot of the garbage there is now. Keep up the good work.

Sold I’m ordering one next month because of this review.
This is a great laser, ive done a lot of projects with it. Only thing is that the laser lost significant power and no amount of focusing would work. I upgraded the laser to a 30w and its back at perfect. I recommend using lightburn with it.

I want to use this to put images on wallets and maybe some wooden objects. I've also thought about dog tags. This video made me very excited to order this same model. I need to move things in my work space to allow for ventilation. Maybe build a cheap table so I have an expendable work space. Edit: When you did the mirror I nearly shat. Then you just kept going! I am ordering this asap
