Good choice! Reolink cameras and their app are some of the best.
So I just bought 82 acres and I am in the process of getting it cleaned up and cleared out, to do most of the work I hired a local logging company to help with my driveway and some land clearing. He was able to work with me with some of the lumber as part of the payment and very little cost out of my pocket to get it all done. Now once the major work gets done and cleared out I am going to need some equipment to keep it maintained and looking nice. I am definitely going to be needing a tractor. I grew up across from a 89 acre farm and I am very close to the farmer and what he told me was in the generations he had on the farm what he learned was it’s never too much equipment you can have. He has a few tractors and a backhoe along with a dozer. Now I was thinking of getting one machine and just getting attachments. He said that land is very unpredictable and unique and the type of machine you need may vary, for example the mid tractor he has which is a John Deere 2300 series about 40hp is good for getting into the smaller parcels of land to make a garden bed for crops and to use a finish mower on, the other bigger machines are used for land development which are 80hp+ and then the track dozer is used for grading on wet land because the tracks provide a little bit more traction. I was looking into the new holland boomer series tractor because the price point of it wasn’t too bad after speaking to my local dealer about it. The same machine in JD or maybe even Massey are a lot more expensive maybe I will check out this brand and see what they have to offer. Thanks!
Congrats on the land purchase! That’s a great parcel amount, talk about opportunity to grow. I’ve been very happy with this tractor and most of the attachments so far, though I wouldn’t buy the Summit bush hog again if given the chance. There are some designs flaws that make it very annoying to use. Definitely check out the tractor itself if you get a chance, it pulls its weight against some way bigger more expensive machinery.
@@about12acres thank you! It is definitely very exciting to be able to own that much of land and the opportunities are basically endless, I will be creating a CZcams channel towards it once I am living on it hopefully in the near future. I have a commercial grade lawnmower that I am going to be using around the house lot and I was just going to maybe look into a tow behind wide spread mower for the east fields, I haven’t decided yet. I will definitely check out the machine and maybe see if the company can let me test out there larger 80hp+ model being that I have the space and i definitely have the need for it. My parcel is all trees at the moment, so I would definitely need a larger machine to do most of the land clearing and it has to be able to pull/push a large blade in the rear. My road that I am having built is going to be 20ft wide, wide enough for two cars to go past each other on the main entrance to my property and then I will make a road that’s about wide enough for one car to access the other fields. Luckily I was able to purchase land all on one side of the state road so I have total access to all of it. Very cool and very exciting!
I have 50 acres and have a New Holland TN70A 70hp and a John Deere 5103 50hp. You will need at least the size tractor I have....
I checked these out and they had some positives but the very sketchy situation with after sale support such as repairs and parts steered me right over to Kubota.
I definitely understand that. I’m happy to report that the customer service and getting parts shipped over the last few months has been remarkably easy. I will be posting a 6 month ownership review later this month
Enjoying your channel keep up the great content!
Thank you so much! It means a lot and I’m glad you’re enjoying the journey along with me
No because I’m still a kid right now and I am obsessed with quicksand
It’s really fun stuff, just gotta be careful 😃
See those coyotes often? Prolly chasing your deer away as well.
I was seeing them a lot more in the winter time this year than I have all summer. There’s a big buck and three does that live on the property pretty much year round hopefully the coyotes leave them be. Thanks for checking out the video!
Looks like you have a bumper crop of coyotes 😂 . Good review thank you Ima. Jim
So many coyotes, I have a fall back career as a fur trapper if things don’t work out for me 😂
Solid review hermano!
Thank you very much!
Solid review!
Much appreciated!
Nice job Ima. Jim
Thanks Jim! I hope all is well in prep for winter!
Five star chicken hotel! Nice job
Thank you very much!
Awesome transformation! 😮
Thank you! 😁
Maquina
Impressive job! Like the calm music and your instructions are clear and simple! Your explanation of what you did and why and how all your choices in location and materials, plus tips on using a tent to store your tools. Great video! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you very much! I’m very glad you were able to get so much out of the video. Part two, with finishing touches and other details is coming soon.
Amazing video! Very informative ❤
Thank you!
I just noticed the suicide knob. I put one on my tractor too. Lol
Did you have weight on the back?
While filming this, I didn’t have any attachments connected to the three point The wheel weight itself really does a lot.
I would just cut 2 inches off the blade end of the screw driver
Brother these tractors surprised me thanks for the information for showing me I will have to buy this tractor 🙌
Good idea if you want to supply your local thief.
Thankful to not have to worry about that in this backyard, but I know not everyone is able to do it.
Can’t do that anywhere but the country bud, I do that at work all my shit will be gone first time I turn around.
I definitely understand that! Most places have shitty people unfortunately
How do you float the bucket?
Hey I was looking at these at orschelns. What that run you with the grapple bucket? Thinking about buying one for tree work
I purchased the tractor and 6 implements for $26,000 and had it shipped to my house through Atwood’s. I’ve been using the grapple for so much more than I thought I would and by far my favorite part of the machine. The tractor is heavy enough to handle a lot of big logs around the property; I have a few other videos that showcase the grapple in action a lot more. Happy to share my insights!
That's not the tractors fault. Operator error all day long!!!
Yup! This was 100% on me
Good job on the video very good quality.
Thank you very much, im glad you enjoyed it!
Or you can just get like four guys to carry it, save the fuel quit being a show off
I wish I had 4 friends living near by 🥲
I have to get my seat lower I can’t reach the key to start it or I have to figure out how to bypass my seat pressure switch my arms are short .
I haven’t been able to get the seat to really move either.
So smooth
Looka like a good tractor. If you were looking into using it for mowing price a finish mower or a flail mower before a bellymower. The rear mowers are easier to take off then the belly and you dont gor to crawl under the tractor to attach the pto.
So far it’s been a good machine with exception of a few small problems! I couldn’t imagine trying to hook a belly mower to it though, I’d never want to take it off again haha. Flail mower attachment is probably in my future
Keep going. Another great vid. How's that tactor holding up?
Thank you! Tractor is holding up well, the attachments are the ones giving me trouble
Ty
I chose the Solis over this to save $3500 all I gave up were the mirrors, headrest, and third function diverter on the loader
Were you able to get that Solis in the US? I really like that third function on the loader, I can live without the other stuff I guess
Yes. Solis USA. H24
This is 🔥
You need a saw blade at the end of a trimmer. That will chew through briers and keep you out of range from the thorns.
I’m gonna be buying one soon enough
What kind of culvert is that? I didnt know culverts could be buried that shallow.
You are correct in there being too little dirt on top, it has washed out a bit since we installed it in 2019. The tube is rated for 80,000lbs and it handles handle a lot so I have been too worried about the replacement of the top dirt yet but I will be fixing it soon! Thanks for checking out the video!
get on it, the difference between 2' of fill over a culvert with the arching action and less then 2' is astounding. also ditch that checkdam before the culvert ,all that will do is trap debris and make a headache for you further down the line . if you ever end up re exposing the pipe sidewalls wrap the backfill with geotextile like a giant burrito , that keeps them nice and in place. @@about12acres
@@tyler7433 thank you for the advice! I’m still learning a lot obviously and it helps me out tremendously. The check damn is temporary for exactly that purpose, I am currently working on the other side of the culvert and the natural check damns on the other side constantly fill up with debris so I’m prefiltering at an easier to access spot.
Keep at it bro
I will, thanks for checking out the video!
Looks fantastic, Great job 👍
Thank you very much!
I shit my pants on the way home from work today.
You too? Must Be going around.
OH HELL YEAH BROTHER 🔥🤘🏽
been there done that with 4 culverts going into our pond!
The most rewarding kind of job
Good Idea of the old posts. Have you thought about Gabbions? We have been using them here because they are so good especially here in Chile with Earth Quakes. Looks like that hip is still hurting you. Any time you have excess cement when your cement trucks wash out after pouring foundations, you have them dump on top of the rip rap. J & S are having a baby today! Love the videos Ima. Thanks from Chile Jim
Thank you! I would love to incorporate gabbions at some point down the line, mainly in a few retention wall applications near the home site. The hip is getting better by the day! manual labor and going to the gym is helping a lot. Super happy for them, and your whole family. Hope to see you guys soon.
Let me come out there and do some free physical labor! I need the exercise lol
I'll take you up on that when you come visit!
Can’t wait to see more about this project and its progress
Thank you very much!
You can put your weed in it.
❤
This is the correct way to use the Internet. Please continue.
Totally awesome!
Glad you think so!
Wouldn't the root rake grapple done an easier job removing the briers? Reminds me still need to check torque on many bolts on my Mahindra.
Definitely would in most use cases. I want to keep this particular part of the property less disturbed by machine because I’m setting up a bird sanctuary area. The rest of the place is getting the proper treatment haha! Always check your bolts 🚜
@@about12acres Understand wanting to save it for the birds. Good choice. I went out after and checked my lug nuts and half the loader bolts and all were good. I saw your set up at Runnings a few months ago and now I want the grapple LOL
@@normhowes2975 the grapple has seriously been awesome in so many different ways. I’ve used it way more than I thought I would.
The ice
Glad you're fixed up man. Love the tractor and good luck with the channel! One question about the TX25; did you just get this machine recently? Your loader joystick looks much more ergonomic than I have seen in other videos. Maybe they were earlier versions, but it used to look very high and almost like a BMX bike handle. Yours looks like it's much lower and has a nicer shape.
Thanks for checking out the channel! I took delivery of this tractor in late November 2023. I too noticed the previous run of machines had a different handle, so far no oddities with this one.
@@about12acres thank you for the info! 🍻
