can this be used for hexagon caridgan?
@@nycbklynrmp nope, this is a flat hexagon! For the hexagon cardi, you need an hexagon with more sts per round
I made a hairband by following your video. It turned out really well. I wish I could show you. 💖💖
@@irasabah7883 I'd love to see it! 🍓 Feel free to tag me on Facebook or Instagram if you share it there :)
Thank you for this tutorial♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much for making this video. I’ve been going crazy trying to find a good tutorial on how to make strawberries for a granny square bag that I’m trying to do and this was perfect very detailed easy to follow and great explaining.❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your kindness and for this tutorial ! 🙏🏻♥️
Does 4 rounds = 6" square?
@@user-ty3kz5kx2j hi, for me, 3 rounds are about 3.75" (9.5 cm) but I guess that the gauge is not too important for this project. You can simply work as many rounds as you need
👍❤
КЛАССНО! СПАСИБО!
Makes sense at the beginning and then it’s like warp speed 🤦🏻♀️😂
Hi, since this is a supporting video for a written pattern, it might help to have the pattern at hand... You can find it here: raffamusadesigns.com/free-crochet-pattern-strawberry-applique/
Can i make it with dc instead of the tc and sc instead of the dc?
Hi, I'm not sure if the stitch count will still work but you could try...
M
I used fiber plastic
I love this stitch, but needed to figure out how to end the round so it doesn’t look too obvious. Watch several tutorials before I found yours, which is the only one that showed it. Helpful. Thanks!
This is a beautiful stitch, thank you for sharing it. ❤ And I also appreciate just your voice with no music, makes following instructions so much easier.
Can you make a video on how to make animals?
Hi, do you mean Amigurumi animals? Or appliques?
If you want to make them bigger like for a coaster how would you increase it
Hi, you would have to make a completely different pattern, so I'm sorry but I cannot help you in a comment :)
❤ that's brilliant!😊 ❤
the pattern is almost impossible to follow by reading. i have never been more upset trying to crochet. maybe get pattern testers instead of having people depend on following a video.
Thank you for your suggestion :)
agree but you could be more polite about it
Such a great tutorial! Thank you!!
Thank you for making this tutorial. 😊
❤
Love it..❤❤❤
Love this tutorial, very easy to follow, thank you 😊 ❤
Yes she’s so eager to get started ❤
You make that SOOOO EASY!!! Thank you. I LOVE the FOUNDATION chains, I HATE starting with a single row of SINGLE crochets and then going back and actually getting started on the SC, HDC,etc row. I NEVER count right somehow. BUT, IF I stop crocheting the FDC or fsc, I have the WORST time starting back up again. I have to frog so much or usually the entire thing. SO frustrating
miss maam im still confused why u have more stitches than mine even tho i have exactly 12 dc and follow the video
Hi, I really wouldn't know without seeing your work, sorry... But maybe you can take a look at the written pattern + photo tutorial and see if you can spot the problem 😀 raffamusadesigns.com/free-crochet-pattern-strawberry-applique/ Otherwise, feel free to send me a pic of your strawberry via email and I'll see how I can help :)
Great tutorial.
Btw guys, if you find it hard to make the square around it, you can also just make the strawberry, and sow it onto a regular granny square. It's a little more messy, but easier if you're a beginner.
Way too fast for a beginner
Hi, if you're a beginner, it might be helpful to follow the written pattern + photo tutorial together with the video :) raffamusadesigns.com/crochet-solid-square-no-gaps/
@@RaffamusaDesigns I take my comment back after watching a couple other ones yours is actually the most helpful I was using a bigger needle and now that I got the concept I came back to yours and my square was a lot better so thank you
And don’t get me wrong you’re still fast but that’s because you have experience and I’m an idiot 😂😂
@@RaffamusaDesignsI take back all the profanity I yelled when I didn’t understand! You my friend are the GOAT!!!!!
Super easy to follow thank you 🙏🏻
Please how you attach it to the square sewing or you glue it
Hi, I keep it in place with pins and then sew all around
funny to hear a lot of 'aaa'🤣🤣
Wow these are all beautiful granny squares!! Just subscribed to your channel!! I have 3 Daughter and one granddaughter. Only one of them is interested in learning to crochet so I was thinking we can do these squares together and make 2 granny blankets one for me and one for her!! Love it!! Tfs ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That's so sweet 💕 I'm sure she'll love crochet 🧶
Love this tutorial, very easy to follow. Thanks
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial. Instructions were clear and my heart granny square came out so pretty <3
Sou do Brasil, a legenda me ajudou❤
I love all your grannies tutorials 🍎🍐🥝🍊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks :)
I love Tunisian Crochet and you make the variation look really easy! I’ve only ever managed the standard stitches but I think it’s time I made the effort! Love the Lacy Trellis stitch most! Thanks for the demo! ❤
Hello. For the small strawberry should i just use thinner yarn or is there a written pattern for the small ones as well?
Hi, sure, the small strawberry is just the same but I used Sport-weight cotton and a 3 mm hook. You can find the written pattern here raffamusadesigns.com/free-crochet-pattern-strawberry-applique/
I'm new to tunisian crochet. Can you tell me why my left side is not straight? I'm not losing stitches...
Hi, most likely, that's because of tension issues. Basically, everyone tends to make tighter stitches at the beginning of the row and then loosen them up toward the end, or the other way around. In both cases, the result is that your work will slant toward the side where you tend to work tighter stitches. I found that this happened to me a lot in the beginning especially when I was using the long Tunisian hooks (similar to knitting needles but with a hook). With shorter hooks with a cable extension (like the one I use in the video), it should be easier to maintain your gauge, at least, this was the case for me. Anyhow, your tension will improve with practice :)
Best video dor this pattern ive tried like 3 other vids and didnt manage
Thank you, that's very nice to hear especially considering that most of those other videos just copied my pattern without any respect 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you for explaining and demonstrating this stitch so well. It really makes a nice border to complete my granny square afghan.
Why did it just randomly end? Why not finish the Pentagon 😢
Very good directions thankyou
Beautiful hexagon, and so clearly explained. Thank you!
6:14 What is this cut? The video shows you telling how to go into the second chain from the hook with only one loop on your hook, then cuts to three loops on the hook with no instruction on how you got there. Can you please clarify?
Hi, you're right, that's kind of a bad cut, I think I was messing up with the ply of the yarn and I cut it, but it's easier than it seems. I think I say it in the video... you just yo, go into the second ch from the hook, yo, and pull up a loop, and there you have 3 loops on your hook. It's basically a double crochet but in the next step, you don't complete the st, you only yo, and pull through the first 2 loops on your hook.
@@RaffamusaDesigns Okay, that makes sense. Thanks for explaining that, I do appreciate it! This pattern turned out really cute and I’m thankful for your help in this video! ☺️
How do you switch colors ?
Nvm I think I got it
I think that the easiest way is to close the last st of the round with the new color and then continue with the next round as usual. Otherwise, you can fasten off after joining the round, join the new yarn in the same st where you joined (place the yarn to the back of your work, yarn over with the new yarn, and ch 2), and continue from there.
I'm attempting polyhedral dice and was having trouble with the d12, so this is super helpful. Thanks for sharing!
I love this strawberry and I like that you are a bit faster with your instructions as I am a seasoned crocheter and using thread
is there any reason that you onyl ch 2 on the corners and not 3? pretty much every other granny square pattern does ch 3
Ah really? I've always only chained 2 at the corners but I guess there's no strict rule when it comes to crochet. Feel free to chain 3 if it works better for you :)
