The tutorial series on this channel were developed for courses I teach at a university. I wanted the students who complete my courses to be able to continue to access these tutorials beyond the end of the course and I felt that these tutorials would also be useful to others. I tend to make long, thorough tutorials so if you are in it to understand the why and not just the how hopefully these will be useful. If you are looking for a quick how to there are plenty of other folks doing great work out there!

Hey! I have a question, if I'd wanted to export a video with the effects that I added in touchdesigner but i wanted the effects at some specific point in the video not in the entire length of the video, how could I do it? Is it possible? or is it going to loop it the entire time? Thank you!!
Hi there, I am wanting to add an LED strip lights to an interior scene. Would I use area light for this? When I try it, no light is showing.
Very useful lesson
Hi. Thanks for really helpful tutorial. My problem is that it doesn't save some meshes. How can I fix it?
Can you help? In my old Cinema 4D in "Select" there was "Set Selection" but in the 2024 its no longer there.
This video really helped me a lot! I have seen serveral similar videos but the way you explain makes so much sense to me!
Nice, Thanks! I was able on the original mesh to do a loop selection / selection to splines / and use them to get a nice mesh flow for later UV unwrap.
Very useful! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Subbed 👍
tks man
Great video tutorial - I picked up a ton of the new UI (I'm a long-ago old UI user, very rusty, coming back to it with the new) while doing the subdivision tutorial. This was really helpful. I'm grateful for your patient and thorough coverage of all the steps, narrating through each of your actions at a fantastic followable pace!
Hi there, I found these tutorials incredibly helpful, but I was wondering if you would be able to offer private tutoring? What's the best way to contact you?
is there any way to have hair length grow in a level for example hair on cat nose to head grows in a sequential manner , to do a hair cut is very hard .
thanks!!
Absolute W. Had to move projects due to unity's AI breaking randomly. Great help
Thank you for the measured pacing and attention to the details. Very helpful!
can you add "WATCH WHOLE VIDEO" on it . ive been punching my desk for an hour trying to figure out this because nobody else showed the same steps and their videos got up to 20 minutes which didnt even work , what a pain in the ass this was .i remember when exporting didnt take 5 different knobs...
Thanks for the feedback. I updated the description to point to where in the video the Export section and perform section begin.

i cant find cloner
If ever you can't find one of the tools if you hit shift+c on the keyboard you can search for any command. So hit shift+c and then enter cloner in the search field.
Hlo sir, i m new in 3d software and i lot search about how to learn cinema 4d tutorial and now i found you . Your tutorial is great, understandable and not boring. So this my 1st my here .
Glad you are finding them useful!
Thanks a lot for this.
I'm going crazy.. used to release 20... where did the insert floor, background etc button go?
Oh yeah...They changed everything. I believe to use floor and background (and have them render) you need to be using the Standard render engine or maybe the physical render engine. They have a lot of things that only show up based on what modeling mode and/or render engine you are using. If you switch from redshift to standard you will see that the lights, cameras, etc all change. You can also hit shift+C and then search for "floor" or "background" to find them. That said in Redshift you add a background through the camera. So add one to your scene and then you can find it in the attributes for the camera. I don't have C4D open and don't remember the exact tab name. I do go over it in a later tutorial in the playlist that specifically covers Redshift cameras/lights. Instead of a floor I typically just make a huge plane, or landscape. If you want haze/fog the RS Environment object is the starting point.
if you are patient and can handle waiting through a beginner c4D tutorial this is helpful. lol thanks
Ha! Yeah I may make some shorter form "intermediate" tutorials at some point. When I was looking for existing content that explained the why along with the how to do things in C4D I couldn't find anything that really fit the needs of the course I teach so I decided to fill that void with these long form tutorials.
very helpful many thx !
@@HardwareHaq I am referring to the effects to draw on the screen with the hand and that the strokes are based on an image or texture that is repeated many times in the stroke.
thx
nice
great video, lots of useful tips that helped me a lot at the project I'm currently working on, thanks!
Thank you man.
Thank you for more redshift training Especially buffer abject and its relationship with after effects❤❤
Very nice ❤
Ive been having lots of issues with C4D/ redshift on my mac Sonoma 14.2.1 m3 pro. Im curious what mac you have and operating system as you seem not to be having the same issues. Let me know thanks!
Issues with installation, updating, not showing up after "installed"
Do you mean all the software isn't showing up? Or just Redshift? Redshift is now integrated into Cinema but you still "install" it separately. It doesn't generate an app after install but should be available in Cinema assuming you can see C4D in your applications folder. It is housed in a Maxon folder FYI. I am still using Monterrey on an M1 because I am mid-project and don't want to risk breaking something right now. lol. I also usually wait for 6 months at least before I install the newest OS .
@@HardwareHaq Yeah im just not seeing redshift within my c4d program when downloading separately. Other wise redshift is not installing at all from the maxon app. Maxon support said there should be no issues with installation on Sonoma and will try a few things later, but definitely dont recommend upgrading haha. Although ive heard Ventura doesn't seem to have the same problems. Thanks for the reply.
Thank you for the great tutorials, if you use the "middle mouse" to switch between the perspective and orthographic views, it is much faster. Thanks again 🙏
Thanks for the tip! I am usually using a trackpad for all of this so not having a middle mouse button I forget about it. Also I believe the function keys will also switch but on my mac having to hold the Fn key and F1-F4 is obnoxious and I don't want students to have to change settings in their System Preferences to follow the tutorials.
How make this? czcams.com/video/T_zx_5V_ov8/video.htmlsi=XyBcKQ0ghzMoyVGD
I am really glad that I can watch the second part of the tutorial, Thank you 😍😍
I am working on more in the series today so hopefully a few more will be uploaded by tonight!
I really appreciate the great tutorial, I learned a lot, Thank you so much 🙏🙏
Really Awesome, Can you share project file please?
how do you remove the noise from the fog?
Right click on the scene, select Export Package. Make sure "Include Dependencies" is checked. That's it. The actual tutorial is at 4:20.
how do i import the scene again in another project ?

Great tutorial! Exactly what I needed and the explaination of why you are doing stuff was great. I can confirm that pirouetting around the scene was fun haha
