Why is it stretched to widescreen?
I thought it looked fine. Doesn’t appear stretched to me, at least on the phone (where 83% of people watch it ) Maybe viewing from a larger format it might be.
It's so cool how you can see Zack say "Enemy" at 5:18 signaling that Know Your Enemy was next
Вот это подгон !!! Спасибо братан!!!
Thank you for checking it out!
Sounds better then iPhones concert video
For a handheld camera in 99’ it ain’t too bad 🤣
I got my piece from the same section. Still have it, my fav display item
That’s awesome man! Did you frame it?
Fast forward to now. Going to see them live in less than a month and they ain’t sold 💩 for tickets. Quit embarrassing but then again don’t make things expensive 🤷
Ticket prices have gone insane. I’d like to see them again when they come back around my way
You will find any tickets these days are going to be expensive unfortunately unless you have the media up your ass like swift it’s going to be hard to sell venues out
@@Jasonmcglovon Yeah but I’m talking more than half the venue is still empty. It’s just sad and I know LB has cancelled a couple of their last tours because of this.
Although I didn’t attend W99 I still regret that it went to shit the way it did. When I first came into my own and found the music that resonated with me it just so happened that it was Korn, Limp Bizkit, The Offspring, Rage Against The Machine and Metallica. If I was old enough I would have given anything to go to Woodstock 99 to see them.
Limp still sounds as good today as they did back then.. I don’t think you will get the same vibe as Woodstock 99 ever again but you can still enjoy seeing most of these bands live.
Sitting here jamming when the video cut out. Oh its SAD BUT TRUE :P
Yeah. Sucked. Unfortunately in the 90’s batteries only lasted so long.. atleast I got 30 mins
after seeing there was a video like this for Limp Bizkit’s performance, i was so hoping their was a crowd POV for Korn as well, thank you for this
Absolutely man..
This is fkn sick bro
Thanks man!
bro just dropped a piece of history
I appreciate it man! Thanks for checking it out !!
What an amazing America it was then. Long gone 😢
I ordered and watched most of the festival on PPV and don't remember much rain......I think I saw some during Jewel's performance and maybe during Metallica when James asked "Are you ALIVE out there??" but otherwise it was a thousand degrees on the asphalt, correct?
@@stevenbellah5728 I definitely rained a bit.. but it wasn’t anything crazy
Please keep these coming!
I have a few more coming . thanks for checking out the channel !
Took me 3 days to download the mp3 of this show off Napster a few days after it went down 😄
You survive Woodstock 99, you made it.
I did 🤣
the energy is contagious even behind the screen
Hell yeah… it will be difficult to ever get a concert like this again (unfortunately)
@@PartiesThatMadeUs what a blast that u had the chance to live it! i bet u have tons of stories to tell to your grandsons :)
And you recorded Torn! Damn, you literally are my hero
This was 6 years before I was born. I discovered Korn when I was in kindergarten. I'm going to see them for the seventh time this fall. Thank you for this new perspective of my favorite performance ever!
Hell yeah man!!
Unbelievable footage
I appreciate it!!
do you have videos of when DMX was performing?
That is my one regret of Woodstock 99. I didn’t have my camera during DMX’s performance. It was a hell of a performance.
Nostalgia at its finest right here! Great upload
Glad you enjoyed it!
idiyot people always choose this overrated band called limp bizkit over korn 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡😡
I like them both. However, I love living in a country that allows you to like any music you feel like it. It’s an awesome time to be alive
@@PartiesThatMadeUs break stuff drop is not even close to good god drop
I can always respect other points of view.
@@PartiesThatMadeUs do you like and respect nu-metal over old school and modern rap??
I personally like some of literally every kind of music. I always have. My playlists are all over the place. From OutKast, pharcyde, Metallica , limp, Korn, Morgan Wallen, kenny Hoopla, Motley Crue, GnR, Biggie , George strait ,Nirvana, Aldean… I’m also 46 years old now and it depends on my mood as to what I’m playing.
To me it doesn't look as crazy as all them rumours stated over the years… Unless the video just doesn't do it justice?
The media blew it all out of proportion. The people at fault were the promoters but it made better sense headlines to blame the number one band at the time for all the issue.
I've always wondered what a 90s show was like filmed from the crowd especially one of the old shows
We didn't need it, being there was enough, I do wonder what if 18 year olds now will have the same vibe on old shows as we do since their memory will be diluted a bit with constantly holding up a phone
The staging fell off ?
I noticed that too in the live footage of Willie Nelson’s performance as well, but it’s all back together by the time the Red Hot Chili Peppers perform. Pretty weird.
I’m not 100% sure why they did that. My guess would be the fact that it was so hot and the big stage graphics prevented any air flow causing the crowd to be even hotter. By removing it during the day it may have been a bit cooler
did some digging and found out they did this because on saturday night and sunday morning it was raining so they stripped down the tapestry stage design to prevent it from getting damaged by the rain, First time they did it was during metallicas set when the rain got really bad, They also did this on the second stage
@@wastedcentury thank you for fact checking this …
@@wastedcentury It's funny how they removed it during the performances to prevent damages but if you watch videos from Monday morning, after the festival was over, it is completely trashed and abandoned
🖤🖤
Appreciate the footage. Would’ve preferred a steadier hand. I know, it’s wasn’t one of those weekends 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Haha. Yes. If I would have known I might want to watch this 25 years later maybe I wouldn’t have had so much to drink before hand.
@@PartiesThatMadeUs haha, nice one….. pretty awesome that you were there dude. I’ve seen the 3 part doco. It certainly was a runaway affair.
I was standing pretty close to where you filmed from. A bit closer to the stage. Can't imagine what you shot this on! lol. everything about this takes me back in ways the official video doesn't quite capture.
Thanks for checking it out ! I’m glad you liked it.
man I am jealous of anyone who got to go to Woodstock 99........
It was awesome.
@@Tom-uw2ok so jealous mate!
It was awesome
Love seeing it from this perspective. I was there and it was one of the best nights of my life. Limp, RATM, and Metallica all in a row
Yeah that was a hell of a trio ! I’ll have Metallica coming up soon. Stick around.
isso é ouro
Thank you
did u catch a little of alanis morissette set before limp bizkit? Theres almost no amount of content of her that day
I don’t think so.. but I’m still going through a few tapes. If I find any at all I’ll post it on here. Thanks for checking out my channel.
For some reason it doesn’t seem that crazy rn in other videos the crowd is going crazy
I love Woodstock 99
i’m from russia. my mom brought a vhs of the woodstock from the united states in 1999. I was 9 years old. the offspring, ratm and rhcp - those guys were the first rock bands I heard in my life. that tape changed my life forever
That’s awesome. Thanks for checking out the channel !!!
@@PartiesThatMadeUs thanks for the video. i saw the pro recording of the festival so many times and it is very strange and incredible to see the show from a different angle after so many years
Hahaha! I'm in the same boat as you buddy. Still watch that VHS tape once a year !@@R.1.D.3.R
Love these kind of POV ..🤟🏼
Man, please tell me you stayed until the very end and filmed the riots. 😭🙏
I did.. stick around, maybe in the next 2 weeks it will be up!!
@PartiesThatMadeUs holy shitttt, that's amazing!!! Can't wait to see that! 😂🔥
Wow😱😱😱
I was there! At the height of my RATM fandom. When I was a dumb kid.
graba mejor que mi Samsuns A23 😆
I hope it happens this august
It looks stretched. I think? The longer I watch the harder it is to tell. Pulling it into widescreen rather than leaving it in the original 4:3 aspect ratio was definitely not the correct choice, from a preservation perspective.
Appreciate the feed back. A few of the videos I kept 4:3. But I didn’t see much difference and I prefer the widescreen so I just went with it for the rest.
this is pure GOLD, thanks a lot for sharing this with us!
My pleasure!
0:23 I was wondering the same thing
I guess everyone wanted to see the biggest band in the world at the time
5:15 I've heard the story of how they turned down the P.A after the Limp Bizkit chaos, that chant all but confirms that it's true.
I was there all 3 days... if I recall, I think it was because they actually blew a speaker? I remember there being audio issues and a delay. Of course I'm 40 today, so I don't remember what I just ate for breakfast...
@@Jasonmcglovon Man I will never forget, during Metallica, me and my two buddies were in the middle of the crowd just watching the show. Out of nowhere, this naked guy jumps in front of us and just goes nuts dancing for a second before he jumped back into the crowd, never to be seen again lol.
Iconic performance by the Bizkit.
It definitely was!
WOW 14:23 you even have the exact moment they cut Fred's mic. I guess that's why the crowd started booing after he asked them to say that lol. Historic video here
Thank you. I’m glad I found these tapes. I had no idea what was on them and if anyone even cared to watch them 25 years later.
Seeing more crowd footage is what I live for
I’m glad you are enjoying the channel..
On The Ground footage Limp Bizkit from the CROWD at Woodstock 99???!!! I HAVE to see this! Thanks man! 🔥
