This brings back so many memories. This performance made me realize how big they truly became. I lost my sandals, yes sandals, in the crowd and ended up with a broken toe the rest of the weekend. Fun fact, Jon was making up the lyrics to Beg for Me and Falling Away from Me while singing them during the performance because it was only the second time they ever played it together. Also, both songs weren’t officially named yet. Beg for Me was called “Soulfly” and Falling Away from Me was called “Primus” on the setlist.
@@PartiesThatMadeUs Our main reason we started a band My bro and I. Started young. Korn obituary was our major influences actually grew up went on to playing shows in highchool and ten years after. All over East coast hell of a time
This was 6 years before I was born. I discovered Korn when I was in kindergarten. I'm going to see them for the seventh time this fall. Thank you for this new perspective of my favorite performance ever!
let me just say this was an AMAZING 21st day....unbelievable weekends as well. would 100% do it all over again even knowing the outcome. Davis has said in interviews that this performance was their best performance ever
@@PartiesThatMadeUs i would say yeah the best performance of the weekend, and the heat from that pit...I could almost feel it like it hasnt been 25 years
Man that brings back memories. You guys were far back. I was waybyp front on the other side in thay madness you seen everytime you panned right. Thought i was gonna Die in that crowd 100%
Thank you for the first person view of the legendary concert the only videos I've seen on youtube of this epic event were from network broadcast professional outlets probably because the digital camera was still not widely used. THANK YOU dude 👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
I 100% appreciate the feedback. I wish I took better footage. But this was a 25 years ago and was being knocked into the whole time 🤣. In the coming weeks I’ll post limp bizkit, Metallica , RHCP and a few more.. come check back if you’d like to these those.
@@PartiesThatMadeUs I'm going to upgrade your video resolution using AI then I will convert it to render 3D depth and watch it on my Valve Index. Thanks for taking me with you back in time to one of the best Korn shows ever performed. 😃✌
@@RicardoPino-cu7dc thank you. Although a bit shakey , I may have the longest crowd shot footage of the Korn concert. I’m so glad people are getting some enjoyment from my old videos. Thank you !!
It’s was a fantastic time. But there are more festivals to go to. While it’s hard to recapture the 1999 experience, there still are some great shows to go to.
So you could have experienced what is regarded as one of the worst music festivals ever to take place in one of the worst eras of music history? Maybe you should explore Woodstock 69' instead and open your world up to real music.
Perhaps if my parents were born in the 1930’s and had me around 1949 I could have experienced the original Woodstock. However, as far I know time machines don’t exist. I do know that I had a blast seeing my favorite bands of that era. It’s possible you lost sight on the peace love and happiness along the way. This channel isn’t about negativity it’s for anyone who is interested in Woodstock 99’. If that isn’t something you are interested in it is possible to let people enjoy themselves without you feeling like you are the authority of music festivals. You can do better. I know you can. Have a great day.
@@PartiesThatMadeUs lol well there was nothing "peace & love"about Woodstock 99 thats for sure. But I am glad you had a blast! That's what it's all about 😅
I actually have to disagree with you. there was roughly 400,000 people at Woodstock 99 which is about the same as the original Woodstock both festivals have reported three deaths and if you were not at Woodstock 99 and only watched the documentaries, I can understand how someone would feel that it was nothing but madness, but for the better part of the festival, it was very calm and even during the craziness it was only a very small percentage of people who were participating in that and while 1969 is not 1999 and vice versa I think in their own rights they were great festivalsand if you put 400,000 together for three days, of course there’s gonna be some idiots. It doesn’t matter if it’s 1969 or 2024.
Haha sorry bro.. this was 25 years ago.. I didn’t think I’d ever watch it. Let alone lose the tapes and then find them 25 years later and put them on the internet. Steady cam wasn’t a thing back then 🤣
From the perspective of your video, was there a dip in the crowd??? It seems you are on higher ground compared the right of you... Very weird since all the professional videos of woodstock make the crowd seem like they are all on a flat surface
I was in that general area also that evening. There was a good slope on that side of the stage. This was my first Korn experience. Been a fan ever since !
I'm 24 but saw Korn first time beginning of 2020 in Portland right before shit shut down. Their energy is still batshit insane.
Jonathan couldn't believe how insane this crowd was.
It must be insane to look out and see 300,000 people staring back at you.
A whole new perspective on one of my favourite concerts of all time! Thank you sir

Not only did you survive Korn’s Woodstock 99 set but the camera did as well.
Yeah man.. intense performance!
