Hi NiceKoed, I notice people are installing firmware V300 from the Tesery website and are having issues. Did you try installing the firmware as per the link from the video (version D227)? Hi @jonedney1584, when I bought the Joying unit for the car in this video, Joying didn’t have those A-E pictures. I just sent them a picture of the back of the existing stereo and they sent me the “appropriate” wiring harness with my purchase. However if they have those pictures of the different types of OEM stereos, I would not have bought from them because mine didn’t seem to match any of the selection from A-E. Thanks for your reply @@AutosNGizmos. I've compared the connections on my existing OEM unit to the wiring harnesses Joying sell on their website. I've asked the dealer to send me the HCRV-H harness with the "Raise G-RZ-HD74" decoder. I'm not sure which model (A-E) that relates to, but they seemed happy to send it to me. The number and style of connectors seems to match what you used in this video. I noticed in the service manual for the car that the 8-10pin connector you had left over is either an Aux in or Subwoofer out connection. The other one is the OEM GPS. Thanks again for taking the time to put this video together, it's really appreciated.

Ota upgrade? Where? Nothing! Even the battery percent show up incorrectly. Doesnt even function as a screen display mimic properly! Also the screen is made out of garbage. Since its touch screen, every touch leaves behind a blura micro fiber cloth has a hard time cleaning it. Im so angry with tesery you do not inderstand. Mounting my mobile would have done . I wish i can show all my screen shots here!

I feel sorry you had a bad experience dealing with Tesery. I doubt the company has an objective to make their customers unhappy. Have you raised this concern with them? Also with regards to the incorrect battery percentage reading, this video has a download link in the description box where you can get the latest Tesery 6.2” firmware file compatible with Tesla SW 2024.20.9.

@@AutosNGizmos Actually, I have a problem, because I bought two cameras, a spliter and a monitor to my car and... the monitor does not "see" the cameras... Perhaps it is a problem of resolution mismatch... I'm still checking... and asking everywhere ;-)

Hi Joao, I have a similar issue with the one headlight turning off/on randomly but that was because I switched from halogens to LEDs. I never experience this issue while on halogens. At some point i was contemplating on reprogramming the car but I never got around doing it. Do you happen to have LEDs installed on your car?

That’s a great question. For me, when I did my installs, since the headunit is already open, it made sense to get the 12v power source from there. Second reason is that some cars have a sensitive canbus and that a slight drop in current/resistance triggers a random warning light. So to avoid that potential issue, I just tap into the headunit/canbus decoder power source. Either approach is fine. Just dont connect both ends of the red wire from video cable to a power source.

Hello Oreoluwa, firstly thanks for watching my video. Your support means a lot to me. With regards to the issue you described, there could be several reasons for that. Here are the steps you can follow to help you troubleshoot. Using a multimeter (set to voltage reading), connect the red and black leads of the multimeter into the corresponding camera power wires then put the car in reverse. If you don’t get 12v reading in the multimeter, it’s either the red wire is not connected to a 12v power source or the black wire is not properly grounded. If you don’t have a multimeter, I have an affiliate link to an Amazon or Aliexpress product which you can purchase (I might get a small commission if you purchase using one of those links). If I may ask, where are you getting the 12v power source. Did you confirm it is in fact sending 12v? If you can confirm there is definitely 12v, then it’s possible the black wire is not properly connected to ground. Normally, the ground point in any car is any bare metal (unpainted) part of the car’s body. Normally, you will see a bunch of wires connected to a nut onto the body of the car - this is the ground point you can use. If you can confirm both 12v and ground are connected properly, then it’s possible the camera is broken. To check if the camera is working, you can take your camera indoors and using an external 12v power source, power it up and connect the yellow RCA cable into your TV. If you power it up and the camera is working, you should see the video feed show up on your TV (make sure to switch the TV to the appropriate input source). I hope this helps. @philbeals4442 Hi Phil, that extra wiring harness is needed if your car has a USB port inside the centre armrest. Have a look at the 26:49 mark. It essentially connects that USB port into the Joying headunit so you can use it for charging or Carplay/Android Auto.

Hi King, Unfortunately I would not be able to tell you specifically what wires you need to connect to where because headunits and canbus decoders vary. Does your headunit (if its already connected) does it switch to reverse camera input and show blank screen when you put the car in reverse?

@@KingTreeFiddy Ok there are two areas you could to check. 1) In the System setting, there might be a setting to enable/disable the reverse camera switch. If you find this setting, make sure it’s enabled. Perform a quick test if you changed this setting. 2) Perform a trial-and-error to find the wire in the canbus decoder that outputs 12v when you put the car in reverse, and goes to 0v if you put it out of reverse (i.e. checking each wire of the canbus decoder one-by-one). You will need a multi-tester for this test. Good luck. I hope one of the two suggestions above will work for you. Let me know if you need further assistance.

I need support from France as well. Unfortunately it does not work with the 13Mo microSD provided with the product. It is formated in FAT instead of FAT32. Once I copy the new version of the firmware and plug the microSD in the device nothing happen. :( Do I have to buy a bigger microSD formated in FAT32? @jnbreton4560, did you use another microSD?

Try formatting it in FAT32 first. What type of computer do you have Windows or Mac?

@@AutosNGizmos I have Windows and I don't have possibility to format in FAT32. Only FAT which is the default one.

Oh yeah I think that Microsd card that comes with the product has a weird partition. Probably better if you can get a different one

Hi Matiss, I wouldnt have thought the X1 is firmware-updateable. However when I checked the seller’s product page for the X1, it did say it’s possible. So I have now sent them a message and asked if they have a new X1 firmware compatible with the latest Tesla software. Hopefully they will respond…

@@AutosNGizmos I found it. It’s the same plugs on the passenger side so it’s the amd connector marked copilot side after watching V2 recommended spot to plug in under glovebox led me to not having that plug in there I went to what I knew from other installs in the passenger b pillar. Thanks.

Hi there, yes they are all affected following the rollout of 2024.20.1. Unfortunately, I still have not received the updated firmware for the V2 and X2. But good news is that the Yonzee has the updated firmware which is compatible with the new Tesla software release. I have created a short video (with the updated firmware download link). @@AutosNGizmos Im not hating on teslas, some things they make not too bad, but Tesla is NOT a car manufacturer, its a tech company, as seen by failures of teslas which are unheard of in 99% of all other cars, in fact if some things happening to teslas would be possible on other cars, they would not even be allowed to be driven on the street. EVs are just overhyped and overrated anyways, we need better batteries, MUCH better ones before we can say EVs will help in anything. As long there are Lithium based batteries in there with a lifespan of 5-15 years (in the BEST CASE!!!!), those EVs are more of a problem than a solution.

@@AutosNGizmos Im absolutely not against EVs as well, in fact im for it - im an electrical engineer and did not only personal research and testing on some stuff, especially batteries, but also in work for many years. electric propulsion is something nice and needed - to keep the noise level in cities lower, less stinky stuff there etc, but nowadays i would not build more than 5kWh batteries for personal transport - in other words... nothing bigger than a lets say moped car, better even just small scooters and e bikes, micromobility basically. For a single 85kWh Model S battery you could build about 60 high speed, high range performance scooters. Go into the more used micromobility with lets say 300-600Wh batteries, you are towards 150-300 scooter/e-bike batteries for a single tesla battery. No sense in driving around with 1,5 tons of batteries when you can do it with 0,02 tons and much less tire wear (and dust!)

To be fair, the issue this guy is trying to fix isn't really Tesla's fault. It's a third party addition to the car, not an actual product/feature produced by Tesla.
