Pros & Cons Of Living In A State With No Income Tax
Pros:
No State Income Tax: The most obvious benefit is that you don't have to pay state income taxes on the money you earn, which can result in significant savings.
Potentially Lower Overall Tax Burden: States without income tax often compensate by having higher sales taxes or property taxes, but for many residents, the overall tax burden may still be lower.
Economic Growth and Migration: States with no income tax often see higher rates of population and economic growth as they attract both individuals and businesses seeking tax advantages.
Cons:
Higher Other Taxes: These states typically make up for the lack of income tax by imposing higher sales, property, or excise taxes, which can offset the savings from not paying state income tax.
Reduced Public Services: With no income tax revenue, states might have fewer funds for public services like education, transportation, and healthcare, which can impact the quality of life.
No Income Tax Deductions: Residents might miss out on certain federal tax deductions, such as the state and local tax (SALT) deduction, which can reduce taxable income on federal returns.

    @BrianLeslie-s1k Před 16 hodinami

    I believe it’s gonna drop more than 20%. Not only do you have wages in Florida that aren’t commensurate with the price of the houses, you also have crazy homeowners insurance, flood, insurance, the highest car insurance, and property taxes are going through the roof. So 20% no - 30% 40% maybe.

      So what makes you think home insurance, property taxes, car insurance, flood insurance is going to crash? You ever price what replacement costs are?

    Florida still gets you by paying tolls, higher gas tax, food cost, higher insurance, utilities etc. therefore, if your retired, so what if there is no income tax, it won’t matter because your not working. They get you one way or another. It’s true that some places are higher than others, but living in a tax free state only matters if you’re working and making an above average salary. Sadly, Florida is the worst tax free state I’ve lived in as my $$ seems to disappear faster everywhere here. Alabama has high sales tax -10%. Louisiana also has high sales tax 10%, Texas sales tax is 8.25%, still too much. They get you one way or another.

      I will have a very high retirement income from stocks etc., so I LOVE Florida as it will not take my inheritance money from my children when I die and it allows me to pay nothing on retirement income. If you dont buy expensive properties and buy expensive cars you can do well in Florida... Its Darwinian ! Just don't be stupid with money...

    3 year range, 50% down in a most of areas. if they manage to keep prices at this level, then gallon of gas will be at 35$. the 5-10% talk is just normal noise in data. the housing was in a massive bubble in 2019 already. after that, pure insanity. the only reason people don't sale yet, they we hoping prices will continue to go up, but as soon as they realize they are not, they'll sell. Very few people can really afford to keep them if they don't go up 10% yearly to make up for the huge increase in maintenance, insurance, and rates. Most people will be greedy enough to sell and scale down, pocket the difference. And anyone with a brain will want to scale down. The future is pretty grey, and the chance of anyone being able to maintain a standard of living similar to the one until now, is pretty poor. We are becoming more poor by the year, and we'll just have to be happy with less. So, pretty soon a 4000 sf home will look like pure insanity, the 3000 will be palaces, 2000 unaffordable, and the 1500 will be the one that will sell the most. yes, there will be a major crash in house prices, but also in standard of living, etc.

    Hey, Get ready for a ride got your E- TICKET (DISNEY) Blackstone Realty is selling of property in Pinellas County in Tampa Bay in total they're basically dumping property in Florida go to CZcamsrs were reporting on this and so was the news they own a large amount of property in Florida mostly rental unit the one CZcamsr was pointed out that they sold it for $10,000 under what they originally bought it for 5 years ago. Then if you look at the villages the last 10 days they've added a hundred more homes for sale they're up to 668 homes for sale now and every week more are added we seen a lot of the rental property getting rid of their properties rents in Tampa Bay are really starting to drop now. But we've seen this before and the problem is is the property tax doesn't go down house values drop but the property tax stays the same the insurance problem is a real big deal because a lot more insurance companies are not taking on properties and you can't sell a house here in Florida if there's a hurricane in the Gulf or the Atlantic they won't close on it and it's very hard to get insurance during Hurricane Season.

    Builders must think people will continue to own and buy second homes all over FL. Because the local job markets certainly cannot support the home prices, and even more importantly, the cost of ownership. Of course people have always loved FL but the reason we all don’t live there is because the jobs are not good. Never have been. And that may be fine when you could get a second home for 125k, but it’s cost prohibitive now. Work from home is being eliminated among large companies. I know that for fact. Trouble is coming to FL. Who knows who will pay the price for this, when the willingness of our federal government to get involved seems limitless. Maybe our tax dollars will bail out these foolish builders. Why not? Just raise taxes, right? ☹️ Edit: you’re not getting doctors and medical professionals to work for a third the wages of most places in the country. The only reason you have any now is because they have been there long enough that they got in before prices and costs skyrocketed. I know many nurses who used to travel nurse to FL. They won’t do it anymore at the wages and cost of living.

They just don't care.
