So you do get one. Noce!
I would've had the original windows restored, because the new windows will probably only last 30 years max vs an old restored window with new storms will last another 100 years and will be cheaper. Other than that, I call those pocket replacement windows, personally I believe that if you're going to spend the money and get windows replaced, you're better off spending a little extra to do full frame replacement, to make it more airtight and to have an inspection of the rough opening.
I love Andersen Windows, especially the 400 Series Casements. Nice work, were the old windows Pella or Marvin?
I think they were old crestlines
@Warren3carpentry It's definitely an upgrade, I always get the casements confused besides the Andersen, because the cladding looks the same as the non Pella Pro Line Windows. It seems like Crestline is becoming evanescent, you don't see them as often as you used to.
Did you use Ang G tape on beams ?
No we dont
@@Warren3carpentry Why not !
@@casper7784 rep.says it traps moisture around screws
I'm building a 30x50x14' I'm noticing wall wobble at the 20 foot point away from my end walls. 2x6 construction, 7/16 osb. Did you you anything to prevent wobble? I didn't see any special bracing in any of your videos.
Wjen u get the roof on u should be good. Where are u located?
All good other than running your knife off the end of your coil and into the aluminum hinge. I score three times from left to right and three times right to left never going off the end of the metal!
How do u do it?
@@Warren3carpentry I start at each end and work my way towards the center on my cuts. Dosnt cut up the hinges.
You didn't show what you did behind the first deck board below the visible flashing. I hate trying to flash T1-11. What i've done in that situation is put in some roof to wall on top of the ledger. Then the deck board with the drip edge flashing like you've done it with the t1-11 over the top. I've also just installed lap siding over the t1-11 and turn it into regular sheeting.
Nice video.
Thanks!
Congratulations Warren! I know how hard it is to get to 1k. I just surpassed 1,000 subscribers yesterday, after trying for 17 months. CZcams is tough. You earned it!
I love Andersen Windows, they're the beat in my opinion.
They are my go to!
You don't really show how to install????
Its one of my old videos sorry
Awesome review thanks man!
Hope it helps
Congratulations!! We hope to have ours soon.
Hooefully you hit 1k subs soon!
My goal is to get 1000 subscribers
SUPER !! I just got my first lesson on wrapping wood. Thanks for the help you are a good teach offering great tips for a good finish.. Thanks so much for lesson.. Good Luck. Jose R Garcia
GlD you enjoyed it! What would u like to see next?
What a lousy presentation. You didn't show anything. Shooting a video from 50 ft. away.
You are correct this is ftom back when i first strsrted! Have u made a video better than this?
How get bro i got 1 k subscribe 😢
Order from etsy!
Alright I really wanna know why y’all cap windows like this. I’ve never seen this until I started driving to PA. I noticed going through some of Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, and PA that windows are capped. In Texas where I’m from and work on windows replacing them for multiple companies we just install to brick and caulk it. Siding I don’t see capping whatsoever.
Not sure mainley because its cheaper im guessing?
@@Warren3carpentry thank you for the response, see I’m not sure. I tried working in PA and the way we install down here in Texas did not transpose well there. I just always wondered where the divide was and my ego was bruised cause I install good here but I couldn’t even do installations in PA without using a break which I had never seen nor practiced with.
bad ass brother! nice work!
Thanks! Whats your favourite color?

What one are you talking about?
Im still try to hit 1000 subs i have 150 to go 😂

Great job I wish you are my next door neighbor 🤣 I need to make one myself
Thanks! Its anolder video did u like it?
@@Warren3carpentry yes 👍
Anything you would change?
Not helpful one bit
Yes its an old video of mine. Sorry about that
Can you explain how the finishing nails and not having the top fastened to the wall instead of the brick mold will keep any water out from behind the siding other the caulking the crap out if it?
i complete 1k subscribers plz tell me how to get 1k subscriber play button plz plz plz
My son had it made for me. He ordered it at etsy!
Did youtube tell you it was getting shipped P.s congrats man🎉
HI, thanks for the video; super helpful! Apologies for the rookie question but is it ever possible to avoid using nails? Could some OSI or other exterior adhesive be applied to the backside to glue the pieces into place or will that not be a long-term reliable result?
We have almost alwas nailed. Sometimes u can hide the nails tho
Beautiful job❤
Is this more price affective then just painting the existing brick mold?
It will cost more but last longer
19 star on center
Is the on center of the floor truss 24 inches?
Congratulations 🎉!!!! I know you worked hard!!!!
Hi I also hit 1k a couple days ago but haven’t gotten my button ?
Listen to the video again.
Ok
I did
they finally just released an official one for the cordless nailers haha

Now do the doors please.
Sorry this is an older video. Doing some doors soon though!
In todays market, what would be the cost for a 3 car and I finished loft in the Midwest?
Unfinished
I would ask a local contractor in your area.
How long did this build take? We are planning to pay the house off first and then save up for our garage build
@@kerryyanez7666 this was several years ago im guessing about 2 weeks?
Thank you for the video. Think I’m gonna pick up a vest.
Did you have to modify your dewalt pouches to fit? Im shopping for these but i wanna be able to use my old pouches
Nope they slide right on.
Wow that's quick. Thank you for the answer and the review. Are you still using this and how's your back/hips after 3/4 years with this thing?
@@derpcakesies i still use thus exact setup yes. It makes a world of difference on ur hips!! As far as back support notging really changed for me.
What are your thoughts on this setup for more interior work in assuming that’s what it’s kinda geared towards?
Its ok. It has its draw backs and its strengths. I have had 2 of these vests and had to have them both repaired twice do to failed stichings. Its very hot in the middle of summer and a pain when u want to wear something thicker like a hoodie under it in the cold because iys very tight!
@@Warren3carpentryI see I appreciate the response now with interior work I’d be mainly in a T-shirt as I wouldn’t be dealing with the elements and so I don’t think that my atire change would matter too much, that’s not a good sign that they’ve had stitching failed
Especially for something that costs good $$$
That sign is killer. Nice trailer, practical. Good job.
Thanks still have it!
Nicely produced video, very easy to watch :) Do you still use the Diamondback vest with the DeWalt bags?
Yes i do thanks
On the vertical sides we would have made it long enough to have a 2” tab at the top. Use it to nail the piece and eliminate some visible fasteners. Also I used to carry a couple scratch awls to start holes and temporarily tack the piece up to check the end fit before committing to nailing it home. The awls also make the nail hole slightly loose for stock expansion.
So how did you build it?
Find the videos on my channel!
Doesn’t show how to build it..
@@bradenkappel4159 u have to go to my youtube page go to play lists and there are several videos that show step by step how to build one.
What did this cost?
It was a few years ago not sure.
@@Warren3carpentry Thanks. I was just looking for a ballpark figure. Looks good.
Imma cry because I just reached 1k subs and it’s 2am because I’m crying so hard!
how to get the play button?
If you got that brake for $200 that is amazing. I can't find a single cam lock style brake for less than $1000 used. The old Tapco windy special will have to do. Sucks that it cannot do a hem though so I have to beat it closed manually then crush it in the jaws.
Yep i have had it for over 20yrs made me a lot of money.
Get rid of the music bro
U dont like it?
Can you share the plans from this? Love the ideas!
is that 2x6 on the inside just for temp bracing, the horizontal one?i am planning my shop build and curious about 16ft walls tips
