Seems to me this is the opposite of a Fiberon Decking fail. They replaced all of the miscolored decking even after you had cut and installed it. I think that shows they stand not only behind their products but behind their brand and their reputation. This was a customer service WIN and it's so refreshing to see a company taking responsibility for client satisfaction in such a huge way. Kudos to you, Fiberon!
Always assume products are from different batches. It shouldn't be a big deal, but before you start cutting, MIX THEM UP. Especially after you noticed the issue. Every tile guy has this happen on a job. It's normal. You just need to alternate what stack you source from.
I can understand you wanted to finish the project. But why would you continue knowing you have two different lots or finishes? I would have stopped as soon as I noticed the issue, if not before starting to lay it down. You could have returned the material without cutting it and if nothing else, gone with another brand.
Just had a Fiberon Promenade deck installed 2 weeks ago and I have something similar going on. waiting for the local Fiberon Rep to contact me to come out and take a look. Hope they pay for both the decking and cost to replace.
I wouldn't ever use those post base brackets I'd spend the extra couple bucks for the bracket with the metal spacer below the post so the post isn't sitting on the ground, it'll rott away sooner than you think

You are correct! Fiberon is a great product and we still use it all the time! Pardon the thumbnail!
Well how bout changing it? Looks like your company failed…to stop installation when they should have

Great point! There was however a production problem and they reimbursed us for replacing mis colored pieces!

We didn't know what fiberon was going to do if anything, however we did get paid to R&R the miscolored parts.

The local lumber yard paid us to replace this!

Not sure where you heard "I hear Paramount is being discontinued".. I work for Fiberon.
@@MattyIce247 where are you located? I still use the fiberon products and love them! I made a couple more videos on fiberon decks I have built also!
This happened to me on a deck I put on years ago. Two different batches or something. Weird.
I like the decking though
Thanks for watching! We're you using fiberon also?
You are just using a rim joist instead of a beam at the end of the deck? That's crazy.
More than one way to build a deck I agree. WhT would you have done differently???

I believe that's what we used also.
so where is the follow up video?
What did Fiberon want to do?
They replaced all miscolored decking!
Didn't get time for follow up video, I do have final pictures though!
Couldn’t you just shuffle it and have a variation? Or was it to be one specific color through out I guess.
They replaced the lighter colored decking with new decking that matched. Not sure why it was discolored.
You are suppose to alternate them , check a video of trex where they explain every board has different Colors sometime
Thanks! They did replace them with new boards that matched.
Did you use Ang G tape on beams ?
No we dont
@@Warren3carpentry Why not !

Change title and save people their time!
What should I change it to since your channel is thriving so well.
That would be a problem.
Yep have to see what fiberon wants to do with it!
Would of stopped immediately??
Had to wait to see I fiberon would do anything or not, subscribe for more videos like it!
Looks like one color is Bungalow & the other is cabin
They ended up having a bad run of decking. They replaced the bad parts with matching decking.
What happened
Not really sure, but they replaced all the bad decking.
Never lands in the center of the pier. I hate that 😒
Agreed!
