What is voltage? - Electricity Explained - (3)

Electricity playlist: czcams.com/play/PLxPUNwEbydRN2yldvTWprBRxxpC3TRT7I.html Five years after the last video, here is the next one! Sorry it took so long. Briefly; Voltage is how we describe the strength of the current. The electric potential of a power source (such as a battery). Thanks to Thijs de Bont from DeBont Amps for fact checking. He did this vulentarily. Check out his work at www.deb...

Electricity playlist: czcams.com/play/PLxPUNwEbydRN2yldvTWprBRxxpC3TRT7I.html When you have an electric current it's useful to be able to measure that current. This is done in amps (often using a multimeter). This video explains what an amp (A) (short for ampere) is, which also involves the coulomb (C). The coulomb is the SI standard unit for electric charge, whereas the amp is the SI standard ...

Electricity playlist: czcams.com/play/PLxPUNwEbydRN2yldvTWprBRxxpC3TRT7I.html What is electricity? How does electricity work? What do electrons do? What is short circuiting? These are all questions answered in this video: A fundamental explainer on what electricity is and how it works. In following videos we'll look at voltage, ampere, ohm (resistance) and many more electricity related topics. ...
Into The Ordinary - September 2017 Update
zhlédnutí 4,9KPřed 6 lety
A new name, a new schedule. Things have had to change. I no longer liked to publish explainer videos under my own name, it didn't feel right, it didn't sit right. Hence, Into The Ordinary. Instead of highlighting what's special, we highlight the ordinary, the mundane, the everyday. We take a look into the ordinary, the things we take for granted. Why? Because what we take for granted did not ap...
How Do Steam Locomotives Work - Steam Engines Explained
zhlédnutí 1,2MPřed 6 lety
This was probably one of the hardest things to animate, especially the rods and cranks. With more time I would've been able to fully and properly animate them - but, alas. Time was my enemy. The video explains how steam locomotives use a fuel (usually coal) to start a fire and get water boiling, in order to create steam, which drives the reciprocating piston. Much like a piston in your car, alt...
How Check Valves Brew Coffee And Launch Rockets - Check Valves Explained
zhlédnutí 15KPřed 6 lety
Check valves can be found in all sorts of places. From your coffee maker to rockets, from steam engines to nuclear power plants, from fire engines to your own veins: Check valves are there to make sure liquids flow in one direction. At first I wanted to do something similar to all my other videos: Simply explain the thing. However, check valves are probably one of the most boring subjects (sorr...
How Does Blu-ray Work? - LaserDisc, CD, DVD, Blu-ray Explained
zhlédnutí 484KPřed 6 lety
LaserDisc, CD, DVD, Blu-ray are all one big happy family - with the exception of HD DVD, which was disinherited for being too stubborn. This video explains how these optical discs work in practical terms. A couple of things have been left out for the sake of simplicity and/or brevity. For instance, Blu-ray discs are layered differently from their predecessors. Where CDs have a thick transparent...
How Do Draught/Draft Beer Systems Work - Beer Taps Explained
zhlédnutí 98KPřed 6 lety
A bar serving a cool beer from the tap (faucet) has, often in the cellar, underneath the bar, or in another room, a set up that looks a bit like this. Sometimes the entire setup fits within what's called a kegerator, or parts of it are cooled (not frozen) to make sure the beer you're being served is at an optimal temperature. To set up a draught beer system there are a couple of variables to ke...
The Origins Of National Flags - Flags Explained
zhlédnutí 44KPřed 6 lety
▶▶ Become a patron: www.patreon.com/svdb Having a country flag may be an obvious thing, but for a long time it wasn't. There isn't really one point in time, or even one place, where the idea evolved. It evolved over hundreds of years and flags were used in different ways in different places. This is how we (probably) got to have the idea of a national flag. Did you know flags probably evolved f...

How Do Refrigerators Work? - Refrigeration Explained (2.0)
zhlédnutí 72KPřed 6 lety
Refrigeration is an important part of any kitchen. Keeping your vegetables and milk fresh keeps it from spoiling. Yes, the inside of a fridge really does go dark when you close the door. And did you know the doors are kept shut thanks to magnets? They're not too powerful, so a kid crawling inside can get out. Some nasty happened that lead to this design solution. Sadly, some dogs and even some ...

Thank you so much
They always start with a history lesson.
Well, I was totally wrong. I thought DVD players copied the data on a disk, placed it into a streaming chip (or as I call it: a Thingey) and spewed it out like an mp4 on a jump drive. Hmm. Maybe I'm on to something.

good video
such a help sir! from this today
so very to understand and exciting more to learn such a good creator and smart
Thnx for nothing Never even explained the definition of electricity
3:53 "Take the amplified and the reversal. Then smash together those two different expressions of infinity to create and push out an imaginary mass. Imaginary Technique: Purple." I'm cooked, even while studying the brainrot never stops, at least I'll have good grades right?
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! Please upload more regularly.
As a Swedish educator, I give you full marks. 'Through your animations, explanations and a precise pace

Great video . Plz uplode more
Informative video but left me with some new questions about the principles
У меня сейчас аудирование по английскому. Спасибо большое, что помогли мне списать!
👌👌👌❤️❤️❤️👌👌👌
There goes the entire chapter about Voltage done in 8 minutes. That's impressive 👍 In a normal school that chapter would be like 1 week ;-;
I never knew you existed. I will really on you to be good in sciences. I like your lesson.
I had wondered about using a coffee maker to get distilled water but it appears this is not actually 100 degree boiled water. Thanks!! I had poor assumptions
The anode is the POSITIVE side, the cathode is the NEGATIVE side.
resistance resist current or voltage ...why your video could nor explain the same ..
Remarkable
Thank you for good video
Imagine someone who actually waited for his next videos and bro casually posts after 6years 😭
Keep Making MORE Vids.... Electricity FLOW is so Important, more folks and students need to understand it , so that we can manage the GRID Better as we go forward...... thanks, and welcome back.
Finally
At 9:16 you are wrong ! VOLTAGE IS NOT THE SPEED OF THE ELECTRIC CURRENT. You can have an open circuit, no current at all, and lots of VOLTAGE !
Why don't all the electrons end up on one side of the battery?
I barely discovered your channel while looking up steam locomotives and saw that you took a long break, and that you just posted recently. Just wanted to say I'm very glad to see you active! Your vids really stand out
Bro I learned a lot watching your videos. Thank you so much!
The French had it during the war.
One major correction: Volts are equal to Joules per Coulomb (Joules / Coulombs) NOT Coulombs per Joule (Coulombs / Joules). That would be the inverse of voltage. As a high school physics teacher looking for good videos to show my kids, this was great UNTIL that part of the video which would really confuse them. I hope you're able to correct this!
Very nice explanation
I learned alot from this video. I hope it can help me in my science test today😊😊😊
6:10 you said it correctly but i think displayed it wrong. Im not sure if it means the same thing, but its usually Volts= Joule/ Coulomb 1 volt is 1 joule of energy per coulomb.
My great-grandfather was a fireman on a steam locomotive.
Thank you at least I could understand it! Keep on!
good video
How were whyte people so smart to invent this?
Yayyyyy hello again buddy
